Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

As soon as they left Baihua City, Yang Yu and his team made contact with the Luo Ze Empire.

After watching the battle of the [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval at the teahouse, Yang Yu drafted a preliminary battle plan.

Executing this plan involves certain risks. While contemplating how to mitigate them, Yang Yu recalled a particular item.

Although it’s a bit late to request that item now, possessing it could significantly increase the success rate of executing this plan.

Therefore, Yang Yu decided to try reaching out to the Luo Ze Empire to express his request.

Lotcar didn’t think much before agreeing to help Yang Yu verify if the item could be borrowed. If it could be borrowed and delivered before they launch the attack, he would immediately arrange for it.

Yang Yu sincerely expressed his gratitude, changed his outfit, and continued heading to the battlefield.

After some thought, Yang Yu decided not to continue using the well-known identity of the Colorful-haired Masked Man.

Even though that identity could bring him immense honor and convenience.

Since Tian Hanxue of the Four Heavenly Kings suffered a setback at their hands, the Demon Clan would inevitably focus their attention on them.

During the Dragon God Conference, certain intelligence organizations succeeded in uncovering his true identity. It’s inevitable that his identity as the Colorful-haired Masked Man would eventually fall into the hands of the Demon Clan.

For safety’s sake, keeping his identity hidden was necessary.

Lotcar swung its powerful limbs, moving through the dense forest as Yang Yu and his party headed towards the area where the [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval was located.

During the journey, Bai Jin often expanded his magic power perception to sense the surroundings, preventing scouts from gathering intelligence.

Although they mostly traversed uninhabited mountains and forests, there were instances where Yang Yu and his team could see battle zones in the distance.

This time, Yang Yu didn’t assist those areas like he did in the Luo Ze Empire.

This was also to prevent the possibility of their intelligence being gathered by others.

The [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval, unlike Tian Hanxue, rarely acted as an individual force altering battlefields by moving between them, instead leading his troops gallantly from the front, engaging any formidable enemies he encountered directly.

According to current records, the [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval has never suddenly attacked cities or troops.

He always sends a declaration of war to the city or troops before any battle.

Facing the [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval, who can freely manipulate flames, any strategy of fortifying a city is completely ineffective.

The [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval’s fire manipulation range is quite broad, making it easy for him to hurl flames over city walls to incinerate the interior.

However, he only uses such tactics to break open gates when dealing with ”cowards” who refuse to leave the walls.

If the gates are opened, and troops go out to battle, he refrains from using such skills, opting instead to impress the opponent with his true strength.

The [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval likely only yields to opponents genuinely stronger than himself.

Reasoning with him is practically futile.

If you can defeat him, your reasoning might sway his heart; if you can’t, no amount of words will make a difference.

The challenge lies in defeating him in a manner he acknowledges.

That is to say, a classic one-on-one duel.

If others intervene and disrupt the one-on-one, he would consider it an act of treachery.

He might turn his spearhead and slay whoever intrudes on the duel.

The [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval has his own aesthetics and principles.

When someone disrupts his aesthetics and principles, he retaliates without hesitation.

Such retaliation usually has nothing to do with aesthetics or principles but follows the principle of returning the same trick: if you play dirty, I’ll play dirty, too, and let’s see who prevails!

From this perspective, the [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval is not as naive as Yang Yu imagined.

Yang Yu couldn’t imagine what kind of attack the [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval would unleash if he completely let loose.

If pushed to the edge, the [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval might resort to the most primitive methods, even biting off his opponent’s throat.

Because of the [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval’s habit of declaring war before battles, the Wansheng Republic could constantly track his general movements.

After some traveling, Yang Yu and his team finally neared the area where the [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval was.

During this time, the issue Yang Yu asked the Emperor of the Luo Ze Empire about also received a response.

Lotcar helped Yang Yu borrow the item, but the owner of the item wished to personally deliver it to Yang Yu, and it should arrive before their battle with the [Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval.

To ensure the item reaches Yang Yu safely, the Luo Ze Empire made contact with the Wansheng Republic, sharing Yang Yu’s location with the item’s courier.

Lotcar slowed down, lifted its head, and sniffed, detecting faint scents of blood and gunpowder smoke.

”I can smell the scent of battle from afar. What should we do next?”

Looking up at the sky, Yang Yu decided to patiently await the courier’s arrival:

”While we initially headed to the front lines with a probing mindset, let’s not forget what I previously told you: if there’s a chance to resolve this conflict in one go, we shouldn’t hold back.

Let’s wait here for a while. She should find us soon.

Perhaps we should have waited in Baihua City.

...But, you see, I didn’t even know if I could get in touch with her back then. Even after contacting her, I didn’t know if she would agree to our request.

The main issue is that images recorded by the Memory Crystal become somewhat blurry when transmitted via Teleportation Magic.

Some details can only be known after obtaining the Memory Crystal. The situation was thornier than I originally imagined.

I didn’t have high hopes for this plan from the start and wanted to test things out first; however, her response was much quicker than I anticipated.

If she arrives in time and finds us, we can slightly adjust our plan.

Let’s take this opportunity to rest and adjust our status before she arrives, and go over the plan one more time.

Even though the plan is fairly straightforward, if we overlook minor details, everything could fall apart.”

Bai Jin and the others exchanged glances and agreed with Yang Yu.

Soon after, a woman appeared mid-air.

Pale purple hair floated in the wind, a black blindfold covered her face, revealing only her subtle lips. A billowing violet-gold robe wrapped tightly around her figure, outlining the shape of a form-fitting leather suit beneath.

Even though her eyes were covered by a black blindfold, Pingru Kejie Wulais was still able to perceive her surroundings through magic perception.

By rarely using her eyesight, Pingru Kejie Wulais developed strong characteristic magic power perception.

Anyone who left a unique impression on her—even if only seen once—could be found among the crowd by their characteristic magic power.

Yang Yu was also a man who left a unique impression on her, and of course, she remembered Yang Yu’s characteristic magic power.
