Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

”What on earth is happening...”

Ammonval felt something was amiss and tried once more to contact the surrounding Demon Clan cadres.

But no matter how many times he tried, he couldn’t reach any of the Demon Clan cadres.

Helpless, Ammonval could only expand his perception to search for the characteristic magic power of the Demon Clan cadres.

However, the Demon Clan cadres, who were full of life before the battle, now only had a faint trace of their magic power left.

The Demon Clan cadres were dead, and not just one. All the Demon Clan cadres near the dueling circle were dead!

How could this be possible?

It’s impossible for an ordinary person to take down so many Demon Clan cadres so quickly.

... Could it be the Hero?

The flames crackled around, and Ammonval scrutinized the young man who suddenly appeared in front of him, asking:

”Are you the Hero?

Did you deliberately change your appearance to show up here?

What a disgrace!”

Yang Yu replied helplessly, ”I’m not the Hero, I’m just a young man with a bit of strength.”

Of course, Ammonval couldn’t accept Yang Yu’s explanation. He closely inspected Yang Yu and Bai Jin, trying to find critical information indicating their identities from them.

Ammonval did find something.

The bandages on Bai Jin’s Wand were treated to resist fire, but still struggled to completely fend off Ammonval’s scorching flames. Bai Jin had passed through the flames twice, and the bandages on the Wand were barely holding, revealing a glimpse of the Wand of the Sigh Seed’s ancient roots.

Yang Yu’s Broken Cocoon Butterfly had also lost some paint due to scrapes.

Searching his memory for all possible candidates, Ammonval naturally thought of the group who defeated Tian Hanxue:

”You call yourselves just young people with a bit of strength.

In reality, you are the ones who defeated Tian Hanxue!

You just knocked down one of the Four Heavenly Kings and immediately rushed over here, trying to take me down as well!

How arrogant can you be!”

Ammonval’s intuition was remarkably sharp, so Yang Yu chose to play dumb:

”I have no idea what you’re talking about. Has one of the Four Heavenly Kings been defeated already?”

Seeing Yang Yu’s response, Ammonval burst into laughter, swinging his long sword, bright flames dancing on its blade.

”Was she beguiled by your performance?

Though I am somewhat dense and sometimes can’t comprehend some of Lord Demon King’s words,

yet...

I trust my intuition, honed through countless life-and-death battles!

Even if you deny it, my intuition tells me that you are the one who defeated Tian Hanxue, you are the colorful-haired masked man acclaimed in this nation!

We must defeat you today!

I will clear you out as an obstacle for the Demon Clan!”

As the Red Flame Monarch, Ammonval’s flames fiercely danced, and another arm grew from Ammonval’s back. The flames gathered in his palm, forming a new fiery weapon.

Swinging his arm, the flames scattered, revealing Ammonval’s new weapon.

It was a half-meter-long Magic Wand, with flame patterns intertwined like clouds, shining brilliantly.

Ammonval revealed more power!

His instinct told him that Yang Yu and his group were deceiving him, wanting him to lose himself in battle while they had time to deal with the surrounding Demon Clan cadres.

Unforgivable! Absolutely unforgivable!

To possess such immense strength yet avoid combat with strong enemies, and rather employ such underhanded tactics!

If you are ruthless, I will be unrighteous!

”I can tell what you’re thinking, Lord Ammonval!

But think this through, having six arms and wielding five weapons, claiming it’s a one-on-one battle, is that fair?”

Ammonval’s complete form appeared in Yang Yu’s eyes. Yang Yu spoke plainly, shaking Ammonval’s confidence.

Meanwhile, Yang Yu glanced at a certain artifact in his inventory.

The artifact depicted a figure with six arms, holding six different fiery weapons of the Blazing Fire Clan.

Made with a lot of red and brown volcanic glass, the fire part seemed so real, as if it was burning fiercely right before their eyes.

According to the Clan Leader of the Blazing Fire Clan, this is their War God, also the ancestor of their clan.

In the tales of the Blazing Fire Clan, appearances of members with six arms or four arms are not uncommon.

At that time, the Clan Leader of the Blazing Fire Clan appeared to say that their race was originally meant to be like that.

In reality, that’s what the Blazing Fire Clan originally looked like.

Ammonval is a real member of the Blazing Fire Clan; to be exact, he is of the Blazing Fire Clan living in the Demon World!

The Blazing Fire Clan of this world are migrants from the Demon World.

”One more weapon,” Yang Yu murmured to himself.

The statue presented to Yang Yu by the Blazing Fire Clan held six fiery weapons. As the mightiest of the Blazing Fire Clan, Ammonval likely hid one more fiery weapon in his hand.

After spitting out another fiery breath, Ammonval was undeterred by Yang Yu’s words:

”Unfair, you say?

Every skill, ability, and piece of equipment I have now is earned by my hard work, bit by bit!

Your words are like someone about to take an exam complaining to a good student, ’If only I were as smart as you!’

Unaware of the hard work the good student puts in while you play!”

The sixth arm swung the magic wand, Ammonval’s entire body was ablaze.

The scorching heatwave surged towards him, yet Yang Yu stayed calm:

”If that’s how you see it.

Then I must say, my companions are also earned bit by bit.

Bringing my companions to fight alongside me isn’t inappropriate!”

”Sophistry!

Your mouth is full of nothing but sophistry!

Shameless scoundrel, prepare to die!”

Ammonval charged forward, and Yang Yu, without a trace of fear, readied himself for the battle.

Though Yang Yu was unaware of the situation on Iyas’s side, Ammonval’s response made it clear that there were no Demon Clan cadres nearby able to support him.

Ammonval resolved to eliminate both of them single-handedly!

Seeing Ammonval’s attribute stats, Yang Yu understood the source of Ammonval’s confidence.

Ammonval transformed into a blazing mass of fire, like a giant meteor, crashing towards Yang Yu.

As Yang Yu prepared to meet the attack, a burst of ghost fire suddenly flared beside him.

Bai Jin was about to telepathically warn Yang Yu, but Yang Yu reacted first, counting silently in his head.

Ammonval’s front-line attack was just a feint; his real target was Yang Yu’s flank, aiming to use this combination skill for a decisive strike.

A streak of red dug into Yang Yu’s palm, painting his sword blade orange.

Knowing Ammonval’s intent, Yang Yu didn’t retreat but advanced, stumbling forward a few steps. At the moment of Ammonval’s appearance, enduring the heat, he plunged the orange blade into Ammonval’s body.
