Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Colliding with raging flames, Bai Jin passed through the incoming fireball, using the active skill of the Fire-Repelling Robe to control part of Ammonval’s fire.

Leaping out of the flames, Ammonval’s Short Spear pursued, Bai Jin transformed the controlled flames into a Long Whip, striking back the Short Spear.

The Short Spear spun wildly, caught by Ammonval’s ghost-like second left arm.

Looking up at Bai Jin, Ammonval was almost certain that Bai Jin’s immunity to his scorching flames was largely due to the effect of the purple-gold robe she wore.

At a safe distance, small arrays flickered by Bai Jin’s Wand, releasing continuous Wind Blades.

The magical Wind Blades, like low-flying swifts, scattered from all directions, pounding towards Ammonval.

Ammonval didn’t dodge, sinking his body, allowing pieces of Wind Blades to bombard him.

The fiercely burning flames flickered violently, growing brighter, as a massive flame vortex ascended around Ammonval.

Bai Jin felt a hint of unease, sensing a large amount of Flame Magic Power gathering beneath Ammonval’s feet.

The temperature in the Flame Circle suddenly rose, the scorching heat penetrating the magical defense, eroding Bai Jin’s body, making her sweat profusely.

Bai Jin wanted to stop Ammonval from releasing a skill but didn’t know where to begin; this was a skill from inside out!

Ammonval prematurely triggered his Boiling Blood lv.MAX, quickly enhancing his attributes.

Boiling Blood lv.MAX requires thirty minutes of combat or dropping below half-health before releasing, but the battle-hardened Ammonval had long mastered all the clan’s abilities.

He was using a Secret Magic Skill called Temperature Increase.

Temperature Increase allows Ammonval to prematurely trigger Boiling Blood; its effect lasts thirty minutes, and after Temperature Increase ends, Ammonval gains a debuff named Burned Out, losing the effect of Boiling Blood for twenty minutes, and reducing flame damage by twenty percent.

In about ten minutes, Ammonval could trigger Boiling Blood’s effect.

But, he obviously didn’t want to wait until then.

Another arm grew from Ammonval’s back, just as before, flames crawling up the palm of the new arm forming a weapon shape.

Ammonval swung the newly grown arm, the fire dissipating from the new weapon, forming a giant hammer roaring with strength.

Bai Jin instantly became alert; every weapon of Ammonval’s had unique skills, they had no information on these weapons, and didn’t know the use of this weapon.

Spitting out scorching breath, Ammonval swung his arm, the hammer banged down out of thin air.

In an instant, Bai Jin felt a great hammer descend from the sky, striking her body fiercely, unprecedented pressure fell on Bai Jin’s shoulders, making her unable to move, a powerful force tore through her body’s defense.

Before Bai Jin could think of an escape plan, flames shot out from beneath Ammonval, in the blink of an eye, approaching Bai Jin, swinging a saber slashing toward Bai Jin.

At a critical moment, a figure appeared in front of Ammonval, a Shield filled with red spurs meeting his saber, in an instant sparking a blaze with the heat spreading.

An electric current grew on the red spurs, piercing along Ammonval’s weapon, stabbing into Ammonval’s heart, causing counter damage.

Ammonval took a close look, finding the one blocking his attack was none other than the young man who followed Bai Jin.

Someone who could so easily block his attack was definitely no ordinary person!

Ammonval questioned in a low voice, ”Kid! Do you know the consequences of intervening in this battle?”

Yang Yu lifted his head, meeting Ammonval’s gaze,

”I’m well aware.

But I absolutely won’t tolerate my teacher dying here!

So, let me be your opponent!”

Yang Yu spoke passionately, speaking with readiness to sacrifice, trying to ”move” Ammonval with his resolve.

But Ammonval was completely unmoved, his face contorted with rage:

”Interrupting someone else’s duel midway, utterly shameless!

Don’t you understand this simple point?

If you want to die, just obediently get in line on the side!”

”But what if I say I’m stronger than my teacher? I’ve always hidden the fact that I’ve achieved achievements beyond my teacher’s at a young age for my teacher’s pride. Compared to my teacher, I can bring you more joy, more tasting the fruits of victory!” Yang Yu’s eyes revealed an indescribable determination, as if ready to die.

Bai Jin knew Yang Yu was pretending, and immediately cooperated:

”Why did you come here! Go back! This isn’t an enemy you can handle; you’ll only die here!

Saying you’ve surpassed me is just an excuse not to let me die!

Ammonval, sorry for the embarrassment, I’ll immediately tell this kid to leave, I beg you not to make a move on him at this time.”

Bai Jin spoke with sincerity and concern.

Ammonval spat out flame again, saying little else, just raising his saber chopping towards Yang Yu’s head.

Yang Yu stepped back, allowing Ammonval’s saber to fall in front, striking a crack in the ground.

Flames flickered in the crack, with signs of an eruption.

Yang Yu stepped forward onto Ammonval’s saber, slashing towards Ammonval’s head.

Raising a Black Tachi, Ammonval blocked Yang Yu’s Sword Blade, Short Spear, and hammer strikes crisscrossed towards Yang Yu.

With a lightweight leap, Yang Yu avoided Ammonval’s attack, while also tossing a Defense Link to Bai Jin, increasing Bai Jin’s defense and special defense by half, while also sharing the damage she would face.

This was Yang Yu’s signal for cooperative combat!

Landing steadily, Yang Yu gave Ammonval a playful smile:

”You Four Heavenly Kings are far too unreasonable. I thought you would be upright!”

”Uprightness has never described me.

Being overly upright in battle is naïve!

I hate the word naïve.

I also never feel pity for anyone, excessive pity for an opponent to defeat is cruel to oneself.”

Ammonval struck a pose,

”Your daring intrusion shows you’re prepared to take responsibility for your actions. Accept your death!”

Yang Yu similarly struck a pose, shouting:

”You think very clearly. However, who will die is yet to be determined.”

”What big words,” Ammonval uttered in a low voice, ”Facing rule-breakers, I have no need to follow the rules!”

Ammonval closed one eye, trying to contact nearby Demon Clan cadres to make space, to distract Bai Jin so he could swiftly kill Yang Yu, then slowly deal with Bai Jin.

But unexpectedly, Ammonval couldn’t contact anyone, all surrounding Demon Clan cadres had lost their voices.
