Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

After Yang Yu finished explaining the whole story, Minister Ming Dalak did not hesitate and immediately began issuing orders to assist Yang Yu.

After that, Ming Dalak told Yang Yu about the battle situation of the Wansheng Republic.

After Yang Yu and the others launched that raid, the Demon King Army’s advance showed signs of slowing down.

The Demon King Army led by Ammonval scattered everywhere, and the Beastman Army of the Wansheng Republic, relying on their excellent sense of smell and hearing, as well as the guerrilla tactics they learned from Yang Yu, wiped out quite a number of Demon King Army troops.

Unfortunately, many members of the Demon Clan lost control after leaving the main force and revealed their brutal nature; when they had no food, they went looking for villages to burn, kill, and loot, causing heavy casualties among the Civilians.

When Yang Yu asked if there was any news of Ammonval, Ming Dalak shook his head.

This time, Ammonval would definitely report to the Demon King, making them a thorn in the Demon King’s side.

Perhaps, in the Demon King’s mind, they had already been equated with the Hero.

The other side was definitely thinking about how to completely kill them the moment they appeared.

The upcoming actions would grow more and more dangerous, but Yang Yu and the others could not afford to stop; they needed to firmly grasp the initiative in their own hands.

If, on the Hero’s side...

”Is there any news from Heroic Warrior Volcrix?” Yang Yu asked tentatively.

”According to the current intelligence, they have already decided to head to the Teren Republic and go to the front lines. However, they seem to be doing it for the sake of growing stronger.

Looks like the Hero feels he still doesn’t have enough strength to defeat the Demon King.

He plans to fight the Demon Clan while increasing his power at the same time.

Since his detailed itinerary hasn’t been made public, the Teren Republic probably won’t be able to obtain even the slightest bit of information about his route.

That’s for the best as well. If any traitors appear, it can also prevent the Hero’s movements from being exposed.” Ming Dalak said.

”If there is any news about him, please inform me immediately.

I’m a bit worried about the Hero.

The way I saw him that day, his Status was a little off.

I’m worried he might have some psychological issues.”

”No problem. By the way, on the Hero’s side, through Serti, he asked us for some information about you.”

”Oh?” Yang Yu feigned surprise. ”How much did you tell him?”

Ming Dalak did not hide it: ”Pretty much everything.

Many people are pinning their hopes on the Hero to defeat the Demon King as soon as possible and restore peace to the world. As long as he doesn’t go overboard, we will provide him with any assistance he needs.

This is also for the sake of the world.

Tch, even at a time like this, there are still people who want to use the Hero...

On my side, I’ve basically kept all of those under control; I just don’t know about the other countries.”

Pinching his chin, Yang Yu nodded.

”It’s fine to tell the Hero some things about me, but please don’t mention the plans we are currently carrying out.

Information leaks are inevitable during exchanges.

I don’t want the plans we’ve painstakingly prepared to go down the drain.

If he wants to learn about the situation here, tell him to come contact me directly.”

Ming Dalak nodded solemnly.

After pondering for a while, Yang Yu said softly, ”The things he asked you to keep secret from me, I also hope you can tell me.

As for the reason… how should I put it...

I’ve had a few interactions with the Hero and I’ve also seen his companions.

One of his companions is a bit strange, and I’m somewhat worried the Hero might be under her Control.

This must absolutely not be spread around.

I still don’t have decisive evidence; it might just be a misconception.

...I hope it’s just a misconception.”

Yang Yu did not voice his real thoughts, after all, the Ancient Brave Warrior possessing the current Hero was simply too shocking.

Using a milder, more acceptable explanation could avoid some unnecessary trouble.

Even if the Hero used some means to Control Ming Dalak and make him speak his mind, there would still be a certain degree of flexibility.

Ming Dalak knew Yang Yu would not speak without reason; he once again nodded solemnly to Yang Yu and continued preparing the matters that Yang Yu and the others had assigned.

After Yang Yu had Bai Jin cut off the communication, he briefly contacted the various countries to confirm the Hero’s situation, saying many of the same things he had said when talking with Ming Dalak.

Aside from the Sethis Kingdom, the results and responses Yang Yu received were almost identical.

Once the complicated affairs were dealt with, Yang Yu and his companions dressed up again, changed into their spare Equipment, took some time to get used to them, and then set out for the Sailuomen Plain.

The simple teleportation point had already been completed, and Selovomen also had a church of the Goddess Sect.

Even with Yang Yu having Lotcar remain in human form and traveling only by ordinary carriage, it did not take much time to reach the Sailuomen Plain.

Spring had come to the Sailuomen Plain and flowers were in full bloom; the fertile fields that had once been overrun with weeds and left desolate were again covered with lush crops.

Only, those working the fields were not old farmers, but the army of the Wansheng Republic.

Although no one knew whether the Demon King Army would attack here, or when they might, people need food to live; last year’s bumper harvest did not mean they could rest easy.

No one could say how long this Demon King invasion would last.

The high walls and cannons that the Luo Ze Empire had built on the Sailuomen Plain were already completed.

In Count Blood’s original plan, these cannons would become a powerful weapon against the Demon King Army, giving him a chance to slip in and overturn the Demon King’s rule and Sealing the Devil King’s Power.

Unfortunately, before Count Blood could realize his ambition, he was defeated by Yang Yu.

The plan to use cannons to stop the Demon King Army was indeed a good one.

After discussions among multiple parties, the Luo Ze Empire, with the help of the Wansheng Republic, continued and completed the construction of the city walls and cannons.

The familiar scenery that came into view stirred many emotions in Yang Yu.

If those things had not happened in this region, he might still be moving around like he was playing a game, not daring to face the reality of this world.

After greeting the soldiers on the walls, Yang Yu stepped into East View City.

The Grand General stationed in the city warmly received Yang Yu and his group and dispatched Magicians to assist Yang Yu and the others.

To hide his true objective as much as possible, the stated reason for Yang Yu’s visit this time was ”to test a new type of support Magic for use in the upcoming war.”

Bai Jin would mix multiple Magic spells together, and a certain person would evaluate the effects of the Magic.

And that person...

After arranging the Magicians in position, Yang Yu quietly waited for that person’s arrival.

A carriage sped into East View City, and a twin-tailed girl with fiery-red hair jumped down from it.

Her body was only the size of a thirteen- or fourteen-year-old girl, yet she was one of the top Flame Manipulation Masters of the Blazing Fire Clan.

”Mr. Tester! My name is Chenshui. I was introduced by Minister Ming Dalak and have come to assist you in completing the testing Task!”

Yang Yu raised his hand with a smile and greeted the girl.

The Blazing Fire Clan girl named Chenshui felt a surge of indescribable familiarity in her heart, overlapping Yang Yu’s figure with that of the Legendary, multi-colored-haired, mask-wearing man—Potato Thorn.
