Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The silver short spear came straight at him, and Yang Yu raised his shield, using [Shield Block].

With a clang, the short spear collided with the shield and flew several feet away.

The red flames pulled Ammonval’s arm back to his body.

Ammonval gazed at Yang Yu through the helm of flames. His skills with the short spear hadn’t been released many times, so how could Yang Yu so swiftly grasp the moment of attack?

While knocking down the demon clan cadres, was he also paying attention to this situation on the side? Discovering commonalities in between two releases...

Taking a deep breath, the flames on Ammonval’s body suddenly brightened, releasing a flame wave.

Waves of flames surged out in all directions, repelling everything around.

Drawing his sword blade, Yang Yu tapped the ground lightly with his toes, actively being pushed back by the scorching flame wave.

The fireballs hanging behind him rode the impact, crashing consecutively towards Yang Yu’s face, while Ammonval wielded his long knife, sweeping horizontally in front, the tip of the knife forming a flame slash.

Utilizing the support of the toes on the ground, Yang Yu activated [Climbing], enabled the [Incredible Braking Boots] actively, stabilizing his body amidst the flame wave.

With a flick downwards, the scorching flame slash skimmed over Yang Yu’s head.

As the fireballs flew in, Yang Yu stood up again and swung his sword blade, swiftly slicing the incoming fireballs.

The tiny fireballs split in two yet did not dissipate into magic power, as Ammonval wielded his magic wand, the shattered flames leaped as if alive, recomposing themselves into new magic, fiery serpents lunging at Yang Yu’s back.

Yang Yu advanced instead of retreating, the black wind enveloping his sword blade, coating it in deep black.

In a blink, Yang Yu arrived in front of Ammonval, thrusting the sharp sword blade toward Ammonval’s chest.

Ammonval didn’t see Yang Yu’s motion clearly, but instinctively responded with his combat intuition, his sharp black tachi clashed with Yang Yu’s slashing sword blade, sparking.

Yang Yu failed to avoid the fiery serpents from behind, as they bit into his shoulder, the searing flames blazing on Yang Yu’s body.

Bouncing off the tachi, evading Ammonval’s stabbing short spear coming again, Yang Yu leapt backward to the right, the flames on his back dissipating.

”[Flames Swallowing]!”

With a low chant of the skill name, the ground beneath Ammonval cracked rapidly, revealing strands of crimson.

Strange winds swirled around Ammonval, creating a powerful pull centered around him.

The ground beneath Ammonval shattered, flames blooming like flowers after the rain, spreading all around.

Pulled by the strange wind, Yang Yu collided with Ammonval.

In a short time, one skill pushes while another pulls, making it hard for ordinary people to react, risking being dragged onto the fiery ground to roast, yet Yang Yu, armed with intelligence from Ming Dalak, had already discerned Ammonval’s intent.

Extending his hand backward, a thick thorns emerged from a place untouched by flames, growing rapidly, wrapped around Yang Yu’s waist, pulling him back out of the flame-covered area.

Not allowing Yang Yu a moment to breathe, Ammonval charged forward with his long knife to Yang Yu, roaring and stabbing towards him:

”Indeed, you are the Colorful-haired Masked Man celebrated in this country!

The culprit who took Tian Hanxue away!

With such ability, what do you have to explain!”

Lowering his stance, Yang Yu lifted the [Broken Cocoon Butterfly], switching to the pupa form, a golden array formed beneath his feet, coating him in gold.

Yang Yu remained motionless at his spot, activating [Immovable Rock].

Ammonval’s long knife slammed against Yang Yu’s shield once more, sparking a fiery wave, yet as if striking an indestructible iron plate, causing minimal damage to Yang Yu.

”Is it that move you’re using? Then taste this move from me!”

Wielding the magic wand, the flames behind Ammonval leapt, spread, darted around, forming a ring surrounding Yang Yu, from which countless fiery chains emerged, binding Yang Yu.

Ammonval swung his long knife, the raging flames converging to a point at the tip, glowing like a shining gold star!

Before Ammonval could swing down, several wind blades flew in from a distance, hitting him.

Seizing the fight between Ammonval and Yang Yu, Bai Jin widened the distance with Ammonval.

Confirming his own safety, Bai Jin immediately brewed magical attacks, supporting Yang Yu.

The tiny wind blades were insufficient to cause Ammonval to pause, his sharp long knife continued aiming for Yang Yu’s head.

Yet Bai Jin’s magic was not that simple.

To ensure the magic couldn’t be cut or torn apart by Ammonval, Bai Jin initially shredded the intended magic, each technique had to recombine in the air to unleash the magic’s original power.

The tiny wind magic adhered to each other in the air, forming a blue-green eagle, which dragged two chains, one connected to Ammonval’s right hand holding the long knife, the other to his hand grasping the black tachi.

The azure eagle soared high, Ammonval’s two arms were pulled backward together.

Ammonval’s motion of swinging the long knife halted abruptly, unable to twist his wrist, striving to use the black tachi capable of cutting through magic to sever Bai Jin’s magic.

Yang Yu took this chance to disable [Immovable Rock], activating [Breaking Cauldrons and Sinking Boats], significantly boosting Strength, exerting brute force to break free from the fiery chains that trapped him.

With a low growl, the flames where Ammonval was bound by the magical chains brightened, the raging flames climbed along the chains, scorching the high-flying eagle.

A mournful cry pierced the air, the magical eagle scattered back into magic under the blazing fire.

Ammonval used sheer heat from his body to obliterate Bai Jin’s magic!

Yet the eagle already bought ample time for Yang Yu.

Yang Yu broke free from the fiery chains, a crimson flash in his eyes, speed escalating, launching a fierce attack anew.

The sharp sword blade and several arms of Ammonval took turns battling, and Yang Yu gradually discerned the motions of Ammonval swinging his arms, seizing the opportunity to continuously pierce Ammonval’s body.

Realizing the two Skills Yang Yu was using, Ammonval exhaled scorching breath, decisively reducing his defense, allowing Yang Yu and Bai Jin’s attacks to land directly on him.

After about twenty seconds, Yang Yu ceased his attacks on Ammonval, jumped back repeatedly, quickly creating distance from Ammonval, while Bai Jin’s magic shifted from suppressive Attack Magic to Control Magic.

The moment had arrived.

[Breaking Cauldrons and Sinking Boats] certainly could boost Strength temporarily, yet it also brought a period of fatigue.

Ammonval knew that this was his rare chance to seize the initiative!

Bestowing himself with multiple Enhancement Skills in succession, Ammonval charged at the retreating Yang Yu with his saber.

Yang Yu unhesitatingly activated [Escape Expert], removing his slow Status and simultaneously restored his Blood Volume.

With the help of [Incredible Braking Shoes], Yang Yu skillfully changed his moving direction, letting Ammonval’s saber pass by him once more.

The saber engulfed in flames struck the ground heavily, sending waves of fire surging.

This time, the release of fire waves from the saber did not weaken slowly but burned increasingly fiercer.

Gazing at the rolling fire waves, Yang Yu could feel the difference in these fire waves, resembling those earlier fireballs.

”Be careful! That saber seems to have an effect of generating the same Characteristic Magic Power as him! There’s a large amount of his Characteristic Magic Power within the flames!”

Bai Jin conveyed through Telepathy, affirming Yang Yu’s thoughts.

Ammonval brandished his Magic Wand again, editing and utilizing the rising fire waves once more.

From the blazing fire waves, countless Flame Slashes darted towards Yang Yu and Bai Jin.

The Flame Slashes were only the size of a palm, and not traveling fast, allowing Yang Yu and Bai Jin to easily evade them.

However...

The Flame Slashes that Yang Yu evaded collided straight into the dueling circle.

The fiercely burning firewall, like a stretchy Big Net, bounced back countless Flame Slashes that smashed into it.

In an instant, dazzling fireballs surged back and forth within the dueling circle, dancing in the sky.

This kind of technique is a common attack type in certain side-scrolling shooting games, intended to block one’s movement.

Ammonval was attempting to squeeze Bai Jin and Yang Yu’s maneuvering space!

The small Slashes came incessantly, flames flying back and forth. With a slight mistake, Yang Yu and Bai Jin would touch the Slashes and suffer damage.

The slashes were only palm-sized, seemingly not very damaging.

But remember, Ammonval possessed extremely powerful fire manipulation abilities and could also use his Magic Wand to alter the nature of Flame Magic, forming new Magic.

As long as the aerial fireballs gather in enough numbers, and a single flame hits, the remaining flames will certainly swarm, leaving Yang Yu and Bai Jin overwhelmed!

Saber releasing flames, Magic Wand controlling flames, Short Spear for movement, hammer for control and breaking defenses, saber cutting off magic....

Ammonval’s array of weapons was quite comprehensive, with cooperation between them.

The title [Strongest Spear] indeed lived up to its name.

The boost brought by Equipment was calculated last, after considering Status and Skill effects.

Wielding five weapons in battle, Ammonval’s output capability was far stronger than imagined.

Yang Yu could personally feel Ammonval’s prowess; this was destined to be a difficult and unimaginable battle.

Ammonval did not indulge in stationary releases of countless tiny slashes, filling the entire sky.

He knew Yang Yu and Bai Jin wouldn’t easily allow him to keep filling the space with tiny Flame Slashes completely.

As Ammonval expected, Yang Yu, disregarding a series of debuffs, charged towards him while he was waving the Magic Wand, controlling the flames!

Ammonval raised his saber, the unfinished flames hanging on it formed a scorching protective layer.

”Snap,” Ammonval’s saber collided with Yang Yu’s sword, unleashing unimaginable heat waves.

Numerous tiny Flame Slashes spurted from Ammonval’s saber, scattering like fireworks.

The Flame Slashes swiftly struck the walls of the dueling circle, bouncing back again.

Bai Jin understood the consequences of Ammonval’s accumulation of these tiny flames, and raised his Magic Wand, pulling out a Water Curtain, hiding within.

Every approaching Flame Slash touched the Water Curtain, instantly devoured by it, producing bursts of steam.

A blue Array floated above the Water Curtain, with countless fist-sized Water Balls launching from the Water Curtain, colliding with the fireballs flying around, turning into rising steam.

Bai Jin’s Water attribute Magic and Ammonval’s small Flame Slashes continuously clashed, merging into steam.

The launched Flame Slashes hardly collided and merged to combine or bloom into smaller Flame Slashes before being completely extinguished.

With Bai Jin by his side, Yang Yu could focus more on the battle at hand, dodging Ammonval’s attacks while seeking opportunities to launch attacks.

Unfortunately, Yang Yu did not have the [Fire-Repelling Robe] for protection and was affected by the [Ghost Fire Roasting Array] before entering the fatigue phase of [Breaking Cauldrons and Sinking Boats], entering a Ghost Fire burn state.

Under dual debuffs, Yang Yu’s strength decreased significantly.

There was another crucial issue...
