Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Ammonval swung the long saber in his hand and without hesitation, chopped off the enemy general’s head, driving the roaring flames, turning it into a raging fire.

Ammonval stomped the ground with the hilt of his saber.

In an instant, the dueling circle made of flames burst open like scattering flowers, transforming into tongues of fire that spread everywhere, roasting all the brave beastmen warriors into char.

The situation was almost one-sided, and Ammonval effortlessly conquered another city.

He exhaled a hot breath of flames, and the flame-formed helmet on Ammonval’s head dispersed into sparks and vanished.

Taking steps towards the city, Ammonval left behind a trail of burning footprints.

”Still no news of them yet?” Ammonval asked the messenger soldier nearby.

The messenger soldier, also emitting flames, dared not delay and replied:

”So far, no reports have been received.

No individuals with any significant features have appeared on the battlefield.

Could it be because Lord Ammonval is just too formidable, they are hiding somewhere, afraid to come out?”

Ammonval’s footsteps abruptly stopped, and the sharp saber flashed, landing at the neck of the messenger soldier.

The messenger soldier was terrified and dared not move, never expecting his flattery to backfire, he hurriedly apologized:

”Forgive me, my lord. I realize my mistake! Please spare my life.”

Ammonval gently lifted his hand, retracting the black saber:

”Let it not happen again. If there’s any sudden situation, immediately report to me.

That person would absolutely not hide away, surely brewing some conspiracy.

The one spreading such rumors must be him.

Always employing some despicable tactics, just like before.

This person has no warrior’s dignity whatsoever, so next time I see him, I will take action without hesitation, completely eliminate him and burn him to ashes.

If you discover any abnormality during my battles, do not report to me, directly report to Lord Demon King and Lun.

They will handle it.”

The messenger soldier secretly sighed in relief, responded loudly:

”Understood. I guarantee to complete the task.”

Ammonval resumed his steps, heading towards the next city to conquer.

Along the journey, scouts who went to investigate discovered a string of suspicious traces, and after consulting Ammonval, the scout pursued those traces, finding a hurried fox beastman.

The fox beastman also realized he was being followed, employing various strategies to evade the scout’s pursuit.

However, his personal strength was limited, and his speed was far less than that of the Demon King Army’s scouts, resulting in him being caught.

The scouts bound the fox beastman tightly and threw him in front of Ammonval, handing him over to a special interrogator for questioning.

The captured fox beastman was very tough, refusing to yield, saying that no matter what, he would not reveal the intelligence, but before the power of magic, his persistence was meaningless.

The experienced interrogator checked over his body afterwards, discovering a black magic array to erase memory on the man’s back.

This was voluntarily applied by him.

After applying this magic array, the memory within a period will be controlled by the magic, and if forcefully removed, the memory during that period will be completely deleted.

”Although they think this is a clever method, to us, such magic is merely child’s play.”

The interrogator put in some effort, perfectly dispelling the magic array on the fox beastman, and used potions along with charming magic to control the fox beastman.

The fox beastman instantly turned into a soulless shell, lowered his head, following the interrogator’s orders, and revealed everything entrusted to him by Ming Dalak:

”...Due to the large-scale siege by the Demon King Army, Ming Dalak Governor has already moved the administrative center to the relatively safer East View City.

Do not be surprised, everything necessary for governance has already been arranged there, it just requires people to be present.

Baihua City has already become a façade, a bait.

The people there will still rise up to resist, but do not worry overly.

If commands from Baihua City and East View City arrive simultaneously, prioritize executing East View City’s commands.

...In addition, Ming Dalak Governor is planning a sudden raid on the transmission platform owned by the Demon Clan to cut off the supply of materials to the Demon Clan.

The personnel have officially begun action, if they require your help, do not be stingy.

This concerns the survival of the entire country.”

”Is there any other intelligence?” the interrogator asked.

With a deep voice, the fox beastman said: ”This is all the information that Ming Dalak Governor needs me to convey.

Due to the special nature of the information, on our side, we have always suspected the Demon King Army possesses technology to hijack our magic power signals, thus adopting this most primitive method to convey information, please forgive us.

A special emblem is sewn into my chest, as long as you see that emblem, you can know everything I said is true.”

As he spoke, the fox beastman tore open his clothes and, without hesitation, used sharp claws to cut open his chest, pulling out a blood-stained emblem.

The interrogator pinched the emblem, handing it over to Ammonval.

Ammonval burned clean the bloodstains on it, carefully inspected it, the emblem was sculpted from platinum more precious than gold, and the workmanship was very fine, beyond the ability of an average person.

”Did these people in this country give up the capital?” Ming Dalak asked, ”From your tone, it seems you anticipated long ago that such a situation might occur. Answer me, what’s special about over there!”

The fox beastman, groggy, began to speak: ”The sage of this world has long made the prophecy of Demon King Descent.

The higher-ups also seem to know that the Demon Clan is not to be trifled with. Therefore, they accepted Luoze Empire’s support and continued to finish those gigantic cannons.

With those cannons, dealing with the Demon King Army would be much simpler, at least able to make their progress less smooth...”

Ammonval grasped the emblem tightly, the intense heat easily deformed the platinum emblem like clay:

”What does it mean to say they want to attack our transmission platform?”

”It’s as it says on the surface.” the fox beastman said, ”The attack perhaps has started, or perhaps hasn’t, next, definitely assist them, they also have things to prove their identity.”

As the fox beastman’s words fell, the messenger soldier who earlier flattered but accidentally flattered the horse’s hoof, hurriedly ran to Ammonval’s side, reporting:

”Something terrible has happened, Lord Ammonval!

Our rear city has suddenly been attacked!

There are no casualties, but the transmission platform we modified and the signal tower have been destroyed by them!

Repairing them might take some time.

Furthermore, other war zones have also sent intelligence, incidents of signal towers being attacked have simultaneously appeared there.

Various nations unexpectedly agreed to stop the advance of the Demon King Army in this manner!”
