Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The thickness of the rubble blocking the entrance to the Slime Kingdom is about twenty meters. Yang Yu and the others, unlike He Meng, do not possess bodies that can transform at will, making it impossible to easily pass through the rocks.

Digging through the rubble is time-consuming and laborious, so Yang Yu thought of a solution.

Bai Jin marked He Meng, who leapt onto the pile of rubble, transformed into a puddle of water, and smoothly passed through the gaps between the stones.

Using magic implemented on He Meng’s body for positioning, Bai Jin created a vertical hole near where the rubble blocked the cave entrance, connecting the passage to the Slime Kingdom.

To ensure absolute safety, Bai Jin set up a Teleportation Magic Array in the clearing near the entrance. If any danger arose, they could return to the surface immediately.

During this time, Yang Yu took out a rope ladder from the system, dropped it into the cave, and was the first to enter.

The residual heat from Bai Jin’s magic around the walls, along with the scent of scorched earth, wafted into Yang Yu’s nostrils.

The light above shrank to a point as Yang Yu entered the pitch-black darkness.

After a while, Yang Yu stepped onto the cold ground and opened the panel, and He Meng’s attribute panel appeared before him.

Taking out a flashlight, he switched it on, confirming He Meng was indeed not far from Yang Yu.

Shining the flashlight deeper into the cave, the passage to the Slime Kingdom was narrow, the uneven ground reflecting the flashlight’s beam, with odd stones standing like bamboo shoots after a spring rain.

No matter how you looked at it, this was an extremely difficult path to traverse.

The others followed Yang Yu, descending into the passage one after another; Iyas used the Holy Light in his hand to illuminate Yang Yu’s path, while Bai Jin was the last to enter, lighting up their rear with Flame Magic.

Once everyone was confirmed to be present, He Meng transformed into human form to cautiously lead the group.

The road to the Slime Kingdom is long; even if He Meng rolled all the way down as a slime, it would take at least an hour to reach the kingdom.

As they trudged along the rugged path, the cold dampness closed in on Yang Yu and his companions, occasionally accompanied by a unique scent that made them dizzy.

If ordinary adventurers were walking in this dark and narrow cave, it wouldn’t take long for their mindset to change, and they would turn back and flee.

But Yang Yu and his companions were fearless.

Suddenly, a nondescript rock in front of Yang Yu started to move.

Yang Yu abruptly stopped, halting everyone, staring intently at the trembling stone.

Soon, a pink gel-like creature emerged from behind the stone.

Sensing Yang Yu and the others’ presence, the pink gel-like creature immediately shrank back and disappeared behind the stone.

Witnessing this, Iyas tilted his head. Where exactly did that slime come from just now? Have they already reached the Slime Kingdom?

”Unexpectedly, just coming back and already encountering stowaways here.”

He Meng sighed heavily,

”It’s not too far from here. Let me remind you in advance: absolutely, absolutely, absolutely no hostility, and don’t act rashly.”

He Meng’s words baffled everyone, but it didn’t take long for them to understand what He Meng meant.

They followed He Meng for another ten or so minutes. Lotcar, with keen hearing, seemed to hear something slowly slithering.

As they advanced, the sound became clearer to Lotcar, eventually reaching the ears of the others.

Iyas raised his light sphere, illuminating the path ahead.

Soon, massive black slimes were seen hanging from the cave ceiling, their bodies contracting and expanding slowly as they slithered at the ceiling.

This scene looked familiar to Bai Jin and the others, yet it was the first time they had seen such enormous slimes.

The black slimes suspended from the cave ceiling were as large as small minivans. Should they fall, they could easily crush an ox.

Scattered around these black slimes were numerous human skeletons and damaged armor. The human bones had completely discolored, and the equipment was in tatters, with the fabric looking as fragile as paper ready to rip.

It appeared that some people were interested in where this cave led and had once explored it, only to be denied by these massive slimes, trapped with no return.

Identifying the attributes of these black slimes, Yang Yu could see that the weakest slime here had levels exceeding ninety, defense attributes averaging over two thousand, extremely high resistance, and even dealing with a single one would be time-consuming for ordinary adventurers. Not to mention, this narrow cave contained no less than twenty such slimes.

These black slimes are the guards protecting the Slime Kingdom.

Illuminated by Iyas’s light, the largest black slime dropped from the cave ceiling, splattered on the ground, transforming instantaneously into a clawed monster, rushing towards Yang Yu and the others aggressively.

At this, He Meng calmly extended his hand, releasing magic power to encrypt communication with the slimes here.

The previously aggressive massive black slime quickly calmed down, its shape changing, and it too transformed into a human form.

A curvy black Slime Girl appeared before Yang Yu, layers of black armor enveloping her, giving her quite a general’s demeanor.

The black slime formally saluted He Meng, saying:

”Welcome back, our little Princess. His Majesty the King will surely be delighted. Who knows where you’ve been all these years. During the days you were missing, His Majesty was terribly worried.”

The Slime General suddenly spoke human language, surprising He Meng slightly: ”You can speak human language...and transform... I thought only I could do that.”

The Slime General chuckled: ”Transforming is knowledge learned at university. Human language is encrypted language specialized by scholars in human studies and advanced academics. Princess, you were still young and only graduated elementary school before leaving, so naturally didn’t know. If Princess is interested... well, you’ve already become a master of human language during your travels. Many scholars of human studies will surely find your experiences fascinating.”

At this, He Meng’s head felt swollen, urging: ”Alright, alright, don’t bring this up.

I have friends from the Human World behind me that I wish to bring to the Slime Kingdom. Could you open a path for us?”

The black slime smiled slightly, ”That might be inappropriate, don’t you think? This is the Slime Kingdom, it’s not a place anyone can casually enter.

The reason I use human language to communicate with the Princess in this manner... I trust Princess and the humans understand the meaning behind this?

Princess, please return with us immediately. As for the humans, please leave swiftly, or else, don’t blame me for being impolite!”

With that, drop by drop, enormous black slimes fell from the cave ceiling, transforming into clawed black monsters around the Slime General.
