Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Communication was cut off, and the investigation team sent by Yang Yu returned.

As Yang Yu expected, the Curse Sect had tampered with the tunnel they opened.

A large amount of mud blocked the tunnel that Bai Jin had previously blasted open. The Investigation Spirit Body sent out by the Spirit Manipulator could sense countless dark spirit bodies hiding in the tunnel. Even if Yang Yu and his team blasted open a new path, they would definitely be stopped from entering the Curse Sect’s underground city.

Iyas also came to the same conclusion.

By attaching part of his consciousness to the Light Arrow, Iyas could perceive that the accumulated sand and stones from the tunnel collapse were quite thick, and couldn’t be easily removed, and the dark spirit bodies indeed exist.

Looking around, because of the rampaging Black Mist, the plants on the hillside were completely withered and could not cover human figures at all,

However, Yang Yu could not rule out the possibility that the expeditionary team was being watched.

After some thought, Yang Yu came up with a new combat plan.

Calling Bai Jin over, Yang Yu opened the previously surveyed map, pointing here and there, explaining his combat plan to Bai Jin through telepathy.

Bai Jin nodded, thinking it feasible, and immediately gathered trustworthy magicians, opened a Soundproof Barrier, and communicated.

During this time, Yang Yu comforted his subordinates while secretly selecting personnel.

Soon, Bai Jin brought a few bundles of scroll-like items to Yang Yu.

Accepting these items, Yang Yu also finalized the plan.

Once again having Bai Jin act as a liaison, Yang Yu individually notified the chosen members to be ready, then organized the troops for the upcoming operation.

With the team assembled, Yang Yu relayed what he heard from headquarters, slightly modified, to aim at motivating the troops and started his speech, presenting the apparent combat plan:

”...

...

After breaking through the Curse Sect’s barrier, we don’t know what we will encounter.

My requirements for you are very simple.

Anyone within my command range should execute the task as instructed. Those not within my command range should, based on your experience thus far, make the best possible decisions.

You have weathered many storms to grow to this day, and I am willing to trust your judgment.

You may think I’m speaking nonsense, but I can’t be sure there’s no fool among you who doesn’t understand this.

But in the current situation, even fools must be utilized.

As long as he is willing to contribute, he can still become part of our combat strength.

To prevent the demon’s descent, each of your strengths is indispensable.

Above all.”

After speaking, Yang Yu nodded to Bai Jin.

Understanding his intent, Bai Jin used [Dancing in the Air] to fly into the sky, aimed her Magic Wand at the previously blasted tunnel entrance, and began to quickly gather magic power to prepare a super large magic spell.

Yang Yu led the team away from the tunnel entrance, moving to the other side of the mountain, avoiding the coverage of Bai Jin’s blasting magic.

One by one, white Magic Arrays formed in front of Bai Jin, and the surrounding magic power slowly surged into her Magic Array.

A few magicians found it strange, Bai Jin’s rate of absorbing magical power from the surroundings seemed slightly slower than when using the previous super large magic spell.

Was it because persistently using magic caused excessive magic consumption around?

The answer was negative.

Although the ambient magic power was indeed somewhat depleted, because the [Fairy’s Magic Stone] supplemented some magic, the amount of magic in the air wasn’t much less than when Bai Jin last used the super large magic spell.

In just a few minutes, the Magic Array controlled by Bai Jin began to emit bursts of light, and the magic was about to be activated.

The magicians who had been skeptical realized, despite absorbing magic power so slowly, why was the magic ready so quickly? They understood, it must be because a pathway had already been blasted once before, so this time only a smaller magic was needed to clear the passage.

Just as these magicians thought this, suddenly, Bai Jin, who was weaving magic in midair, shifted in the air, her Magic Wand no longer aimed at the previously blasted tunnel, but moved above the expeditionary team not far away.

What is happening? Was it a mistake? Quickly adjust the trajectory and correct the magic.

Many didn’t understand the situation, the magic power in Bai Jin’s Magic Array rapidly surged out, striking hard in front of Yang Yu and his team.

This time, Bai Jin’s magic was not as gentle as last time, the white Destructive Light struck the mountain, causing it to wail.

Rubble flew, dust surged, Yang Yu and several other guards advanced together, activating Skills [Interception], countless Illusion Shields formed in front of them, blocking the debris for the troops behind.

Engulfed by dust, many were at a loss, having no idea what happened.

At this moment, a long wolf howl sounded, and several people in the team charged forward without hesitation.

Several adventurers looked blankly at those who surged ahead, unsure whether to follow.

One adventurer gritted his teeth and took a step forward, just then, Lotcar’s voice came from the dust:

”Those who haven’t received communication and can’t understand the wolf howl, stay put!”

The adventurer withdrew his step, watching the courageous expeditionary members, he couldn’t help exclaiming:

”What on earth is going on!”

While many members were bewildered, Bai Jin’s magic dissipated, Yang Yu led the following team members to jump into the newly blasted tunnel by Bai Jin.

The tunnel’s diameter was less than four meters, not much larger than the previously explored tunnel. It was quite steep, still carrying some residual heat from the magic, with steam rising from the ground.

The expeditionary team members that jumped into the tunnel moved three abreast, taking advantage of the tunnel’s incline to move downward quickly.

Yang Yu navigated at the cave’s top, prepared to quickly eliminate any spirit bodies or such with [Climbing] and [Dark Breaking Blade] should they appear, preventing interference with the team’s advance.

The magicians used [Dancing in the Air] to level themselves and floated above the troops, occupying the tunnel’s central area, allowing more people to move quickly through the tunnel.

The previous tunnel was filled in by the Curse Sect, and they had set up numerous spirit bodies in the tunnel, intending to harass Yang Yu and his team with spirit bodies once they cleared the cave, hindering their advance.

Even if they successfully reached the underground city’s barrier and smoothly opened it, Yang Yu didn’t know if the Curse Sect had set up layers of ambush on the barrier’s other side to stop them from reaching the demon summoning site.

Only Straight Boy would clear the previously opened path, step by step into the Curse Sect’s trap.

Therefore, Yang Yu decided to have Bai Jin open a new path and launch a quick assault.

Due to the need for surprise, Yang Yu only chose a few people to break through the Curse Sect’s barrier with him.

What of the others?

They would also fight alongside Yang Yu, but not by meeting them through the tunnel; instead, they would join via Teleportation Scrolls connected to Yang Yu’s location.

What Bai Jin handed to Yang Yu were Teleportation Scrolls.
