Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

”[Flowing Water Continuous Slash]!”

The Water Blade in Lang Yi’s hand suddenly extended, spiraling in the air, continuously bombarding Marbas’s Biological Mecha.

Yang Yu, dancing gracefully, dodged time and again Marbas’s fierce attacks, seizing opportunities between gaps.

He Meng stood aside, casting one Skill after another to assist the duo’s offensive.

Having endured [Bombardment Tracking] once before, Yang Yu was extremely cautious, devising ways to counter Marbas’s attacks when unavoidable.

In the relentless battle, Yang Yu realized that Marbas’s weapons were relatively independent, possessing unique transformation methods; integrating the Dark Fragments from Marbas’s weapons into the System would ease the combat significantly.

Yet, despite his fury, Marbas maintained an inexplicable caution, unwilling to let Yang Yu seize any Dark Fragments from him again.

This caution afforded Yang Yu numerous chances, allowing him to observe Marbas’s attack habits and defense details during each clash.

As time passed, Yang Yu thoroughly mastered Marbas’s rhythm.

The Long Spear struck once again, as Yang Yu’s lightweight footsteps evaded Marbas’s Sharp Spear.

The Sharp tip penetrated the ground beside Yang Yu, triggering a massive explosion that filled the air with dust.

Yang Yu slipped under Marbas, borrowing the creature’s four legs to reach under its belly, inflicting a not-so-shallow wound.

Marbas moved his lion leg, stomping horizontally toward Yang Yu.

Using his Speed advantage, Yang Yu swiftly escaped from beneath Marbas.

After being repeatedly injured by Yang Yu, Marbas finally realized that drag out the battle any longer would lead to certain defeat.

His monocle spun around, as Marbas bellowed, gripping the Knight Spear with both hands, thrusting it before him, as five massive black whirlwinds once more whirled around him.

”[Dark Explosion]!”

Upon Marbas’s command, the ground shattered at an unimaginable speed, and countless black beams erupted.

[Dark Explosion] is a sustained Skill, whose power Yang Yu had just experienced; he immediately signaled for a retreat to He Meng and Lang Yi, and the trio swiftly distanced themselves from the range of [Dark Explosion], watching from afar as it stirred up dust.

Using [Dark Explosion] as cover, hidden within the haze, Marbas’s Biological Mecha rapidly transformed - folding, extending, reinforcing - repeatedly, until a pair of fighter jet-like wings grew from the armor on its lion parts, with several jet tubes emerging from the rear.

With dust-proof glasses, Yang Yu observed Marbas’s transformation from afar,

”First a battle tank, now a fighter jet?”

Yang Yu and his companions were not Mages; nor could they pursue Marbas as he transformed into a fighter jet and soared into the sky.

Bai Jin, battling air-bound with [Diligent Zero Skill], would surely face doubled pressure.

With a glance at nearby He Meng, Yang Yu promptly pressed her head, transforming her back into Slime.

Marbas’s human part leaned halfway down, layers of armor covering his body.

He should have become faster, stronger, but alas, in that past war, he lost much; most notably, missing many flight mode functions.

Now airborne, he’d continuously deplete massive amounts of Magic Power, so Marbark relatively disliked using this form, but in this moment, it was the only way to break the predicament.

”Damn creator.

Despite our complete devotion, evoking disgust and fear, ultimately, you used such means to strip away a part of our power, sealing us in the Abyss.

Since then, we had no means against you; now it’s your descendants’ turn.

I shall mercilessly destroy this place, the outside, and the world you forged completely!”

Marbas roared, as the jet tubes at the rear began pre-heating, preparing for a skyward ascension.

Yang Yu transformed He Meng into a long Spear, aiming it at Marbas’s wings and launching.

Organizing Dark Fragments again to form machine guns, Marbas continuously fired bullets at He Meng ”da da da da da”.

Witnessing Yang Yu’s actions, Lang Yi wrapped his body with a massive water flow, charging into the receding [Dark Explosion].

Marbas didn’t immediately react to Lang Yi approaching from behind, focusing on accurately hitting He Meng and blasting her back.

Only afterward did Marbas promptly aim the gun at Lang Yi, the barrel emitting a torrent of flame, countless bullets rushing toward Lang Yi.

At the moment He Meng was thrown, Yang Yu also moved, closely following behind He Meng.

Enduring damage from [Dark Explosion], Yang Yu drew closer to Marbas.

Seeing Marbas shift his attack target to Lang Yi, Yang Yu activated [Defense Link], connecting with Lang Yi to share damage while raising his dual resistances.

Using [Support Charge], Yang Yu appeared before Lang Yi in the blink of an eye, an Illusion Shield unfolding ahead, as Yang Yu engaged [Interception], releasing [Red Blood Path], transforming into a bullet, approaching Marbas against the machine gun’s damage.

”Da da da da da!” The machine gun continued sweeping fire; watching Yang Yu draw nearer, Marbas smiled, his jet tubes burning hotter, with flames already emitting.

Yet, with Yang Yu’s Speed, he remained ultimately too slow.

Suddenly, a dazzling red light pierced Yang Yu’s palm, followed by an orange radiance enveloping his Sword Blade.

Bathed in Marbas’s artillery fire, Yang Yu’s body surged with a burst of red light, a seemingly thin Shield appearing, doubling his Speed; in a blink, Yang Yu closed in on Marbas.

Marbas’s engine roared, flames behind the jet tubes grew larger, nearly achieving flight.

Just then, Yang Yu’s feet erupted with astounding jumping power, slicing through Marbas’s wing like a razor blade, severing the wing in two.

Yang Yu grabbed the falling wing, instantly storing it into his System.

A slow-spreading blood-red emanated from his chest, as a belatedly arriving blood-red War Garment unfolded.

Leveraging [Double-sided Slash] and [Klotka’s Soft Armor]’s active [Dissolve], Yang Yu burned his own blood down to just 10%, triggering a title that significantly enhanced his attributes in all areas.

No need to worry about Yang Yu’s tanking decrease; [Klotka’s Soft Armor]’s Passive [Unbreakable] and active effects, coupled with the preserved passive [tenacity], among others, provided Yang Yu with greater tolerance than before.

Missing one wing, Marbas, transformed into a fighter jet, stumbled, crashing to the ground, the overturned jet exposing all its weaponry, unleashing countless shells and bullets toward Yang Yu.

Yang Yu’s Speed was rapid enough to create afterimages; despite Marbas’s ability to perceive Yang Yu, his attacks couldn’t keep up.

On Marbas’s body, red streams cut across, as Yang Yu, akin to a Death God, mercilessly sliced through Marbas.
