Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

”He Meng, keep an eye on him, freestyle.”

Following Yang Yu’s command, He Meng flipped mid-air and transformed into a girl.

Although it was said like that, He Meng had already deeply realized the disadvantage of weak dual attacks; her ultimate move, the Slime King’s Spear, was blocked again.

Such an ultimate move didn’t harm Marbas in the slightest, leading He Meng to completely give up attacking, deciding to focus on support.

With a wave of her hand in the air, He Meng drew out a circle of blue water.

Yang Yu fed her a bunch of peculiar materials, leading her to learn many skills, but the truly useful ones were very few, as some skills had overly demanding application scenarios.

Even so, He Meng tried every means to effectively use each skill she acquired.

Marbas roared, the massive Knight Spear once again swept toward Yang Yu and them,

”Return my things! Otherwise, I will tear you to pieces and completely devour your soul.”

Judging the landing spot precisely, Yang Yu jumped forward, landing on the spear, leveraging the climbing to move upward along the spear, raising the sword blade that swirled in a black arc, straight towards Marbas’ face.

Marbas wanted to let the spear transform into a solid helmet to counter Yang Yu’s attack.

However, Marbas hesitated at the moment of separating the Dark Fragment that constructed the spear—if the weapon were split into fragments now, would those fragments be captured by Yang Yu like before, losing contact with him?

Seizing the opportunity, He Meng waved her hand, spraying the light blue water circle forward, sticking it to Marbas’ Knight Spear.

Earlier, He Meng tried capturing numerous black fragments, having a thorough understanding of the surface conditions of the black fragments.

The water circle released by He Meng wasn’t an ordinary water circle but a simulated slime formed through magic power, the more magic power gathered, the more viscous the slime would be.

Limited by her size, He Meng couldn’t release much magic slime, but it was enough to glue Marbas’ Knight Spear, preventing its rapid transformation.

Marbas’ momentary hesitation caused him to miss the chance to separate the weapon and reconstruct it into other tools.

With effort, Marbas pulled the spear out of He Meng’s viscous threads, increasing the magic power to move the Dark Fragments making up the Knight Spear; yet, it seemed the Dark Fragments were thoroughly stuck by He Meng’s slime, necessitating dispersion of magic power to remove the magic slime between the Dark Fragments.

No time to mobilize other solidified Dark Fragments, Marbas, having no choice, opted for the simplest method, reaching his empty hand towards Yang Yu.

Yang Yu deftly dodged, avoiding Marbas’ large hand, using the armor on Marbas’ hand as a stepping stone, leaping forward, and stabbing Marbas’ eye.

Marbas did not emit any shrieking, letting purple fluid flow from his eyes.

Countless black currents expanded outward from his temples, creating an extremely special field around Yang Yu, slowing his descent dramatically.

Marbas didn’t need his eyes to sense Yang Yu’s position.

Taking a step back, Marbas didn’t spend time removing the magic slime between the weapon but instead transformed it on the spot, against He Meng’s slime.

The enormous Knight Spear transformed into a sharp dual blades, Marbas spun the dual blades counterclockwise, slicing towards Yang Yu’s abdomen.

Yang Yu was cornered, with no retreat.

Yet before the dual blades could strike Yang Yu, the slime on Marbas’ dual blades suddenly inflated like a cushion filled with air.

Marbas’ shining blade, soft as it was, gently hit Yang Yu, not only causing no harm but also freeing Yang Yu from the restraint.

Flipping mid-air, aided by the Incredible Braking Boots, Yang Yu landed steadily.

Immediately upon landing, tremendous power erupted under Yang Yu’s feet, closing the distance between him and Marbas in the blink of an eye, attacking Marbas’ lion’s foot.

Having lost some Dark Fragments, the biological mecha’s damage reduction effect on Marbas was notably weakened, finally allowing Yang Yu to achieve some impressive numbers.

With Yang Yu stealing the show, the mage unit in the sky rolled up their sleeves, brewing new magic.

The situation subtly reversed, and several priests seated on Lotcar drew their weapons, readying Holy Light Skills to support Yang Yu.

Iyas also laid open the bowstring again, as a glaring Light Arrow formed on her bowstring, yet before firing, Iyas sensed something unusual.

A radiant azure flame erupted heavenward from nowhere, like a blue meteor streaking through the sky, igniting several airborne magicians.

Several magicians descended aflame from the sky, and others realized they encountered a new attack.

Their eyes locked onto the meteor, magicians raised their magic wands to chant spells, preparing to sanction the new enemy.

Unforeseen, the azure meteor scattered into several small meteors, hurdling towards the airborne magicians at astounding speed.

Magicians hastily chanted protective spells, erecting shields, yet the small portions of the azure meteor relentlessly pierced their shields.

A magician felt a burning pain in his chest, looking down only to see an arm wreathed in fine smoke and azure flame mercilessly penetrating his chest.

No blood flowed from his chest; all blood was thoroughly charred by the blue claw.

Bai Jin was unclear of the events, only seeing that massive blue flame rushing toward her.

Stopping her chanting magic, Bai Jin crafted an ice wall using Ice Magic, trying to obstruct the incoming meteor; however, the magically constituted ice wall was instantly incinerated.

The blue meteor rapidly closed in, prompting Bai Jin to activate her shield while also using the Instantaneous Boots actively, shifting quickly in a certain direction, dodging the blue meteor.

As the blue meteor’s flame barely grazed Bai Jin’s shield, the shield ignited instantly.

Bai Jin promptly deactivated some techniques, actively letting the shield vanish to prevent the entire shield from igniting, allowing the flame to burn her body.

The azure meteor paused in mid-air, with Diligent Zero Skill gazing at Bai Jin, its black-ringed eyes blazing with vivid blue flames.

Iyas sensed impending danger, aiming the Light Arrow toward the sky; Yang Yu and the others could still stall, but Bai Jin couldn’t hold out, immediate support was imperative.

Unexpectedly, Iyas’s Light Arrow flickered past, completely disappearing.

Not only was Iyas’ Light Arrow vanished, but the airborne mage force battling Diligent Zero Skill, the frontier where He Meng and Yang Yu confronted the demon, all vanished completely.

The surrounding scenery changed around Iyas, with everything seemingly restored to original yet not quite restored; she glimpsed countless exquisite houses towering, yet Lotcar could only detect the scent of ruins upon those apparently intact buildings.

They appeared to be hurled into a Different Space not belonging to this world.
