Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The bishops of the Curse Sect that attacked the expeditionary team numbered more than three.

As Yang Yu launched a swift assault on the three unfortunate bishops, the remaining bishops silently launched an attack on the weary expeditionary team.

Noticing other bishops with demon power approaching, Iyas decisively left the path where Yang Yu had charged and went to support other areas.

Yang Yu dared not to say anything and directly rushed towards the three bishops, indicating he was confident enough to deal with them without any worry.

Behind, the darkness in the passage suddenly disappeared, confirming Iyas’s intuition, and she felt completely relieved.

While moving, she drew her bowstring, aiming at a bishop in a dark alley.

Releasing the bowstring, a shining light arrow ”whoosh” pierced across the battlefield and shot into the dark alley.

A strong Holy Light surged, and two bishops endowed with demon power swung their arms, joining forces to break the light arrow.

Thick black serpents roared as they surged quickly from the alleys, pouncing toward the expeditionary team.

Realizing the anomaly, Luo Luosi swiftly created numerous physical shells, throwing them towards the direction the black serpents were coming from, placing the members of the expeditionary team under the protection of her shells.

But who knew the black serpents had extremely strong jaws, easily biting through the shells.

Small black serpents slipped through the cracks into the shells, biting all around the people protected by the shells.

Luo Luosi was in a dilemma; she was hesitant to either keep or remove the protection of the shells.

Iyas cast Healing Rain over the direction of the black serpents’ attack, the golden Holy Light drizzling through the serpents, allowing Luo Luosi to breathe a sigh of relief and remove the shells.

However, as soon as she removed the physical shells, a bizarre humanoid lion burst from the alley, attacking the nearest expeditionary team member.

Luckily, Luo Luosi reacted swiftly, blocking the humanoid lion’s pounce at the critical moment.

The humanoid lion was a form that the Curse Sect had transformed using demon power.

Using the pounce of this humanoid lion as a signal, countless bishops, archbishops, and priests of the Curse Sect attacked the expeditionary team from all directions.

Those chosen and successfully endowed with power by a demon were still few.

Many members of the Curse Sect hadn’t been granted power by a demon, but Iyas could determine each person’s location based on the Demon Seeds on their bodies.

Unfortunately, Iyas couldn’t attack them all at the same time.

At that moment, Iyas wished she could grow three heads and six arms, shooting light arrows in all directions to annihilate all the Curse Sect members embracing darkness.

Surprisingly, the chaos didn’t last long.

The bodies of the three bishops of the Curse Sect were thrown into the air by Yang Yu from the darkness, landing in the center of the battlefield.

The attacking bishops and archbishops were startled at the sight of the three bishops’ bodies.

The plan had only just begun, yet Yang Yu had already dealt with the three bishops.

Moreover, those three bishops bore the Demon Seeds left by the Loving Kexia...

Thinking Yang Yu had no ability to escape quickly, the Curse Sect had collectively decided for those three to draw the expeditionary team’s attention, so Yang Yu would act against them, thus restraining Yang Yu.

In the end, rather than buying time, the bishops executing the task lost their lives.

Yang Yu’s daunting capabilities left a deep impression, leading the bishops of the Curse Sect to quietly devise their plans.

Since Yang Yu was so troublesome, they decided to deal with him as the final target.

First, thoroughly scatter the expeditionary team led by Yang Yu, leaving them in disarray, then slowly handle Yang Yu.

No matter how formidable Yang Yu might be, he couldn’t possibly fend off multiple enemies alone.

Once the Demon Lord was summoned, could he possibly overthrow heaven?

But....

A bishop from the Curse Sect suddenly realized something.

The bodies of the bishops sent to execute the task showed up, yet Yang Yu’s men were nowhere to be seen?

Once he appeared, they could keep an eye on his movements, ready to evade his attacks....

The bishops of the Curse Sect continually attacking the expeditionary team simultaneously sensed something was amiss.

The next second, a black shadow leaped out of an alley behind a bishop.

The bishop had no time to defend and was stabbed through the heart with a sword.

The shadow’s movements were extremely swift; after piercing the heart, the sword quickly withdrew and stabbed four more times into the bishop’s chest, utterly destroying the bishop’s heart.

The bishop spat a mouthful of bright red blood, and before he could collapse, the shadow had already withdrawn the sword blade from his body, moving on to the next target, once again delivering a swift and deadly strike.

Relying on ambush tactics, Yang Yu eliminated two troublesome bishops of the Curse Sect, taking off his headlamp and stowing it in his inventory.

In such bright surroundings, the light from the headlamp seemed somewhat dim.

Yang Yu was uncertain how long the battery in his headlamp would last, so he decided to conserve as much as possible.

Continuing to weave along the edge of the team, Yang Yu quickly eliminated the attacking bishops and secondary demons, reducing the pressure on the expeditionary team.

Corpse Collection Coffin was also quite powerful; Hualan summoned her Fishman Contract Spirit and seized the opportunity to instantly kill an approaching bishop.

However, Hualan seemed unaware of the importance of finishing off.

The bishop, whose neck had been cut, resiliently relied on his willpower, chanting spells to awaken the Demon Seed within him, giving rise to an extraordinarily powerful secondary demon.

As soon as this secondary demon appeared, it began wreaking havoc, plunging Hualan and her team into a bitter struggle.

Swiftly traversing the battlefield, Yang Yu did his utmost to slay secondary demons and bishops of the Curse Sect, while also quickly collecting rewards from the Camp Task and rapidly allocating the free attribute points to where they were needed.

Yang Yu and his squad couldn’t reach every corner of the battlefield. The bishops of the Curse Sect were continuously employing cunning strategies, taking down several members of the expeditionary team.

As he hunted bishops, Yang Yu also directed the movements and adjustments of various squads, constantly covering any gaps the team exposed.

These measures soon improved the expeditionary team’s situation, allowing Iyas and the Priest to even find time to support aerial combat, helping Bai Jin and the others deal with the flying secondary demons.

Seeing the time was ripe, Yang Yu ordered the team to continue combating while advancing towards the Curse Sect’s church.

With a vigilant gaze scanning the surroundings for the emergence of new enemies, Yang Yu launched an attack on a nearby bishop.

Even though a large number of bishops and secondary demons had perished, the remaining secondary demons and bishops continued to launch attacks fearlessly, unafraid of death.

Many bishops even chose to attack themselves before Yang Yu could reach them, accumulating magic power and charging into the crowd for a suicide attack.

Explosions erupted one after another. The closer they got to the church, the more intense the suicide attacks became.

Helplessly, Yang Yu could only use Sudden Killing Intent to accelerate abruptly, ending their lives with his sword, successfully preventing their suicides.
