Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

In the pitch-black tunnel, a sudden red light flared up, and a massive creature burst out from the abyss, crawling onto the edge of the black pool.

Black water trickled down the creature’s purple-black scales, dripping to the ground, forming streams that slowly flowed back to the black pool.

Gasque Loren widened his eyes, for in front of him appeared a gigantic crocodile over two meters tall at the shoulder.

Apart from its glowing red eyes with inverted V-shaped pupils, this crocodile looked no different from an ordinary one.

Gasque Loren couldn’t help but speak:

”Is this... Demon Agares?”

”No, it’s just a mount.”

Suddenly, a voice came from behind Gasque Loren.

The voice sounded as aged as he was.

Gasque Loren turned around, and there stood an old man in a blue robe, with disheveled white hair and a scraggly white beard, behind him.

An ordinary eagle flew out from the crocodile’s mouth, landing gently on the old man’s shoulder.

Upon closer inspection, Gasque Loren noticed that the eyes of the eagle, the crocodile, and even the old man who suddenly appeared behind him, were not normal; all were blood-red with bizarre inverted V-shaped pupils.

The old man courteously bowed to Gasque Loren and introduced himself:

”Nice to meet you. I am Agares, one of Lord Baal’s most trusted demons.”

”Agares...”

Gasque Loren couldn’t believe that the old man in front of him was truly a demon. He looked no different from an ordinary elder, vastly different from what Gasque Loren imagined demons to be.

Can such beings really annihilate the goddess and change the world?

Agares smiled, levitated, and flew towards his mount crocodile, laughing as he spoke to Gasque Loren:

”I know what you’re thinking.

To tell you the truth, I can transform into anything you see.

Taking this form is simply the most convenient.”

Agares landed on his mount crocodile, which began to slowly shrink, transforming into a red pedestal with a diameter of merely one meter and bearing eyes.

”To utterly devour the goddess, there are countless tasks to accomplish.

I am exceptionally skilled in reconnaissance, fully preparing for the future annihilation of the goddess.

That’s why Lord Baal chose me.

I am the sage among demons.

I personally do not enjoy combat.

If you want to fend off those pesky insects,

the next demon should be of great help.”

As soon as Agares finished speaking, a gigantic steel war chariot burst out from the black pool and crashed to the ground with a rumble, cracks spreading outward from the spot where the massive war chariot landed.

A few pillars supporting the chapel crumbled with a crash, and countless stones and dust rained down from the swaying ceiling onto the members of the Curse Sect prostrating on the ground, praying to the demon.

On top of the steel war chariot sat a scantily clad woman.

Her head full of jet-black hair resembled the dark night, and her face was astonishingly alluring, certain to drive countless men mad.

However... her lower body was a long serpent’s tail, its unique purple scales shimmering with an exceptional glow.

From atop the five-meter-tall chariot, the scantily clad woman looked down at everything around her, folding the bat wings behind her back, while her long serpent’s tail transformed into two long legs.

With a loud ”crack,” the passageway in the black pool slowly closed, and the swirling vortex at its center gradually disappeared.

The black within the pool slowly settled to the bottom, and all returned to tranquility.

Glancing at the enchanting woman on the chariot, and then at the aged Agares, Gasque Loren searched around for the sight of the final demon.

Without any warning, the giant black steel war chariot beneath the woman began to transform, its components continuously rotating and unfolding.

In no time at all, a tall creature, with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a lion, draped in the black steel war chariot, stood up.

The half-human, half-lion creature adjusted its equipment, a strange smile involuntarily creeping across its mouth.

Agares said to the half-human, half-lion creature:

”Marbas, eliminating those little creatures is your task to handle.”

The half-human, half-lion creature chuckled: ”Even if you hadn’t mentioned it, I intended to do so.

After being stuck in that space for so long, I could hardly stand it any longer.

I wonder how many attacks from me the people of this era can withstand.

If they are completely wiped out by me in no time, it would be truly uninteresting.”

”As long as you’re interested.

Remember what Lord Baal said.

We have other tasks at hand.

Lilith, let’s go.”

Agares looked towards the scantily clad Lilith and indicated to Gasque Loren that it was time to carry out the tasks left by Baal.

Gasque Loren gestured to the nameless youth strumming a harp.

The Nameless, while single-handedly plucking the ancient prelude, approached the three summoned demons, greeting them in his own way:

”The prelude of the new world has commenced.

Meeting the three demon lords, I am truly fortunate.

We ask the two demon lords for patience, as we have constructed the Teleportation Array per your requests and will soon send you away.”

Strumming the harp, a Teleportation Array emitting a cyan-white glow appeared before The Nameless.

Agares did not hesitate, stepping onto the round platform and into the Teleportation Array, with Lilith following closely, leaping off Marbas and landing steadily in the Teleportation Array.

Before The Nameless could fully activate the Teleportation Array, Agares’s figure vanished completely within it.

Lilith blew a kiss to everyone present, and then also disappeared from the Curse Sect chapel.

Gasque Loren looked towards the only remaining demon at the scene, gripping the lamp tightly in his hand.

Before the two demons departed, Gasque Loren had the chance to control them both.

However, only three demons were not enough to overthrow the goddess’s rule; this world needed more demons.

The demon paid no attention to the lamp in his hand, and after much deliberation, Gasque Loren decided to wait a while longer.

Every time the Demon Control Lamp’s function is used, it requires ample time for recovery.

As the saying goes, demons are not entities that can be fully trusted.

The ”Demon Control Lamp” is the Divine Artifact that came into being after the demons were sealed.

This lamp is truly the key to destroying the goddess.

Only this lamp ensures that when demons commit errors similar to those in the past, human consciousness can alter their actions to prevent tragedies from unfolding.

Such an important object must not be used lightly.
