Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

”Is it time to make a decision now?”

Baal smiled at Gasque Loren,

”Now, there’s no other way.

It’s better to delay the descent than to let the whole plan fail, isn’t it?”

After thinking it over, Gasque Loren couldn’t come up with a better method, so he nodded:

”I understand, let’s do as Lord Baal says.

What preparations are needed to open the gate early?”

”There’s not much to prepare.

However, opening the gate takes time.

Find a way to gain some more.”

Baal smiled and then taught Gasque Loren the method to open the gate early.

Gasque Loren didn’t hesitate and quickly gathered personnel, continuously feeding the required items into the black pool, while conveying the need for someone to buy time to all his disciples.

The situation has developed somewhat unexpectedly by now.

But the repeated setbacks did not dampen the will of the Curse Sect’s disciples.

[Loving Kexia] actively volunteered to take on the task of stopping Yang Yu and the others from Gasque Loren.

”There are still many things to do afterwards that require you young and energetic people to handle.

Leave the task of risking life to this old man.

Besides, I am in control of the [Demon Seeds].

With me present, that group will surely explode with unprecedented combat power.

”

Gao Fang revealed a mouthful of gold teeth, ”I will deploy the most powerful spiritual bodies inside the church to fight alongside them.

If Kexia can’t stop them, then I’ll be the one to stop them.”

Kekarlos lowered her head, ”I didn’t expect them to find our location in such a way....

I won’t say more.

I will set up layer upon layer of barriers, even if they successfully reach the church, they can’t immediately reach here.”

Zero Technique, who had been meditating, opened his eyes:

”Even if my soul shatters, it doesn’t matter. I’m prepared. Gao Fang, don’t hesitate.”

Gasque Loren nodded towards Kexia and immediately declared the entire church to be in an emergency state, instructing every Curse Sect believer present to be mentally prepared.

No one complained, and all the Curse Sect believers performed their duties, doing their utmost to maintain the common ideal in their hearts.

Leaning on a cane, Kexia swallowed a large black ”pill” and resolutely walked out of the reserve church.

A ripple waved in the darkness as Kexia walked out of the barrier.

The reserve church of the Curse Sect was protected by Kekarlos’s barrier; if there were light, it would look like any other house, quite perfect.

Nevertheless, Yang Yu and the others still found their way here.

Amidst the throng of countless secondary demons and black writhing masses, Kexia walked towards the ”ping pong” battlefield.

Meanwhile.

As they were about to reach the reserve church of the Curse Sect, Yang Yu received communication from the Goddess Sect.

A support army primarily composed of Goddess Sect believers had reached the mountains and was now rushing towards the battlefield.

Perhaps waiting for reinforcements to arrive would be more prudent, but the enemy’s plan wouldn’t pause just because Yang Yu and his group needed a break.

The progress of the Curse Sect’s demonic summoning was unknown, and every moment could become the turning point of this battle.

Yang Yu opted not to wait for reinforcements and continued to lead his troops closer to the reserve church.

Suddenly, all the combat spirits and secondary demons stopped and surged towards the darkness.

Several priests used their Holy Light to illuminate the direction in which the secondary demons disappeared. The secondary demons, who had been fighting on the front lines, lined up on both sides of the street.

The slow sound of a cane echoed down the street, and a senescent figure emerged from the darkness:

”I didn’t expect you to be so capable, to have made it here step by step.”

Before Kexia could finish talking, Yang Yu accelerated towards her.

The secondary demons by Kexia’s side followed her instructions and tried to block him.

However, Yang Yu demonstrated his cunning skills once more, using speed to weave through the attacks of the secondary demons at incredibly improbable angles, heading straight for Kexia.

A red glow pierced through his palm, coating his sword blade with an orange light as Yang Yu swung his sword forward.

Kexia remained unflustered, showing no fear.

A black light shield suddenly rose from her body, and Yang Yu’s [Double-sided Slash] struck the black light shield, sparking countless black streaks.

”You’re really impatient, young man. Attacking after just a few words, you have no sense of respecting the elderly or cherishing the young.”

A spread of black rapidly extended from beneath Kexia, forming a pool of black water that even the Holy Light couldn’t dispel, seeping beneath Yang Yu.

Countless black hands emerged from the ground, wrapping around Yang Yu’s legs.

Iyas performed a Holy Light purification, freeing Yang Yu from the bound state.

Yang Yu leaped back repeatedly, avoiding the black water’s binds.

Iyas quickly drew her bowstring, aiming at Kexia, as a Light Arrow formed in her hand.

”I didn’t expect this day to come quicker than I imagined.

It seems like you don’t want to stop and listen to my old self say much. Since that’s the case....

There’s nothing more to say.”

Iyas released her grip, and the gleaming Light Arrow shot forward, aiming straight at Kexia’s chest.

However, before the Light Arrow could hit, Kexia pulled out a sharp knife from her bosom and unhesitatingly stabbed it into her own chest.

Masses of black sprang from Kexia’s chest, and the Light Arrow from Iyas collided with the wall of blackness, only to be engulfed by the swelling darkness.

”This is the true strength bestowed upon me by Belphégor.

Unfortunately, this power can only be used once.

At the cost of my life.”

The masses of blackness completely engulfed Kexia.

The surrounding secondary demons seemed to heed some call, diving one by one into the black mist.

Iyas and the surrounding priests attempted to use Holy Light to dispel the darkness, but all the Holy Light they cast disappeared without a trace, swallowed by the surging blackness.

From the sky, Bai Jin led the magicians in attacking the ever-growing mass of black mist, but their attacks, like those of Iyas, vanished without a trace.

In a decisive moment, Yang Yu directed Bai Jin and Iyas to focus on the encroaching secondary demons, doing everything they could to stop them from plunging into the black mist summoned by Kexia.

However, for the [Demon Core] parasitizing Kexia’s body, it had already absorbed enough strength, drawing ample combat experience and knowledge from Kexia; it could now manifest into its strongest form.

No matter what Yang Yu and his team did, they couldn’t change this fact.

The black mist gradually coalesced, transforming into a newly-born demon standing three meters tall, with the upper body of a winged human female and the lower body made of countless vines.

Indeed, it was a newborn demon.

It was neither a Demon. Human nor a secondary demon or a black writhing mass, but a true newborn demon.
