Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The bushes swayed, and the raccoon cat assassin appeared behind Yang Yu in an instant. A chilling light flashed across her sharp dagger as it stabbed towards Yang Yu’s back.

Yang Yu shifted to the right, and the Shield in his left hand suddenly disappeared, allowing the sharp dagger to graze his palm. Then, his bleeding hand fully enveloped the raccoon’s hand and wrist,

”What!”

Before the raccoon cat beastman could react, Yang Yu wrapped his right arm around her and pressed the small raccoon cat into his chest.

The petite raccoon cat beastman opened her mouth in pain, struggling desperately in Yang Yu’s embrace, her sharp claws piercing into Yang Yu’s chest.

Blood flowed from his chest, but Yang Yu seemed unfazed. He held the raccoon cat tightly with his right hand and said:

”Bai Jin, use Flame Magic on us.”

Hans looked disappointed:

”Ah, ah, I didn’t expect to be caught so easily.

Can this really be considered S+ class reinforcement?

How interesting.”

Hans stretched out his hand, and a multitude of vines grew from the surrounding trees, lashing towards Bai Jin from all directions.

Seeing the vines closing in, sharp thorns rose around Bai Jin, intertwining with the lush green vines, stopping their advance.

For a moment, neither side could prevail over the other.

During this stalemate, Bai Jin completed his magic, and his Magic Wand unleashed clusters of blazing fireballs, targeting Yang Yu and scorching him and the raccoon cat beastman.

After a round of attacks, Yang Yu released the barely alive raccoon cat beastman from his embrace. A flood of red spread from his chest, cloaking him in a red garment, and an orange glint appeared in his eyes.

Soon enough, the orange glint was replaced by red.

Yang Yu simultaneously unleashed [Fury Blood]and [Sudden Killing Intent].

Bouncing back and forth along the trees, in the blink of an eye, Yang Yu leaped to Hans Morning Glory’s front.

”[Vine Protection]!”

A mass of vines extended and expanded in Hans Morning Glory’s hand, condensing into a Shield. Yang Yu let his body slant to the side, moving around branch to attack Hans from behind.

”Isn’t this move too sneaky? It doesn’t make him fall at all.” Hans dissolved the Vine Protection and opted for other attacks.

Several vines sprouted out from the branch beneath Yang Yu’s feet, but unbothered, Yang Yu swung his sharp Sword Blade at Hans, leaving several marks on Hans’ back and knocking him off the branch.

Yang Yu leaped down from the branch, pursuing the attack.

”[Double-sided Slash].”

The orange light on the Sword Blade gleamed as Yang Yu pushed the blade against Hans’ shoulder, falling with him.

Hans channeled nearby Magic Power to form vines, only to sense a violent surge of Magic Power underground.

His intuition told him that summoning vines now would be futile.

Streams of blood power gushed from the cracked ground. Facing a pincer attack, Hans couldn’t put up any defense and was overwhelmed by Yang Yu, with a sword pinned to the shattered ground.

Hans had never expected that even with so much control left unused, he would be rubbed against the ground by Yang Yu.

In just a year and a half, could he truly have become so strong?

I still underestimated him after all. But...

Hans didn’t give up, he directed the surrounding Magic Power to form vines.

Yet, these small actions were already in Yang Yu’s sights:

”Don’t move! Put away your vines.”

”Alright, alright, first take your sword away. How terrifying, your gaze is so scary...”

Hans retracted the growing vines and met Yang Yu’s gaze.

Originally, Hans thought Yang Yu would have a face like ”Why are you stopping me,” but upon closer inspection, he realized Yang Yu’s eyes were very clear, showing no trace of negative emotions.

Hans turned his head to look at Dongmu.

Held in Lotcar’s grasp, Dongmu suffered under Bai Jin Magic’s relentless bombardment, convinced that his tough skin could withstand Bai Jin’s attacks for a while, but...

Dongmu came to a thorough understanding of what it felt like to face the opposing forces against Yang Yu.

Yang Yu was too dazzling, making them somewhat overlook the other equally excellent individuals around him.

Seeing Dongmu at a disadvantage, Hans Morning Glory had completely lost the will to resist, realizing his hoped-for goal likely couldn’t be achieved.

”I lost, can you spare my life?”

Hans’ words were indifferent, with little hope of surviving. Since choosing this path, he was prepared for this day to come.

Yang Yu drew his sword from Hans’ shoulder, sheathed it, and took out two Potions from the System, tossing them to Hans:

”The former S-Class adventurer over there, I’ve also left her with a breath.”

Catching the Potions Yang Yu tossed, Hans shook his head, ”You really are naïve. Aren’t you afraid if I recover, I’ll ambush you?”

”If you can, show me.” Yang Yu said confidently, ”I’m not one to rescue people randomly. Against real enemies, I show no mercy.”

”Real enemies... you don’t consider me an enemy?

I hate you every day, hate you immensely.

This was supposed to be a time when the Plant Clan stepped out of the community, interacting with the outside world.

But your appearance completely disrupted my plan.” Hans consumed the Potion.

Yang Yu said, ”Your plan, the Tree Mother was an accomplice, it was a recognized plan.

Whether I disrupted it, it’s hard to say.

After all, I disclosed your plan to the other members of the Plant Clan so they could implement mine.

Conflicts of interest are unavoidable.

I spared your life, let me state my requirement.

Tell me where Ming Dalak is.

I’m in a hurry.”

Hans sneered: ”Hehe, do you think I’ll tell you? He’s one of the key figures in achieving my plan. As long as he can continue to control this country, my ideals will one day come true.”

Yang Yu couldn’t be bothered with more words, drawing his sword again to attack Hans, who extended vines for Defense.

But they couldn’t fully block Yang Yu’s attack, and he was instantly pinned to the tree.

”Hey, hey, we didn’t chat much, yet you really made a move.”

Yang Yu smiled coldly: ”I’m annoyed by your attitude, don’t mind.

You can try to be even nastier, I don’t know what degree will make me angry, nor what level it takes for you to die, after all, the Plant Clan’s Life Force is quite tenacious.

Try making a deal, if you can tell me Ming Dalak’s whereabouts, even lead me directly to him, I’ll let you know something interesting.”

Hans glanced at Dongmu being nearly taken down by Bai Jin and Lotcar in the distance.

Agreeing the side with an advantage would help the other, but neither side had an advantage.

Dongmu swore with great confidence that just one S+ speed soldier faster than Yang Yu would suffice.

He didn’t know, what basis he had.

Furrowing his brows with resignation, Hans said: ”So swiftly defeated by you guys, I have nothing to say. I can tell you where Ming Dalak is, provided we go together.”

”Alright, it’s a deal.” Yang Yu readily agreed.

Then, after Hans finished speaking, Yang Yu immediately grabbed a thick rope, tying up Dongmu and the others who had been taken down, forcing them to drink some Weakening Potions, and walked away briskly.
