Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Cross-legged, Yang Yu sat down on the ground.

He Meng’s current state was far from sufficient, and reality proved that his ideas were overly idealized.

Every skill requires careful training to become proficient and develop more diverse applications.

Having acquired the skills of and , He Meng was undoubtedly a potential stock with great developmental value.

Although He Meng couldn’t completely replicate others’ appearances and abilities like the person from the Curse Sect, she excelled in mimicking objects, making her exceptionally suited for infiltration.

But how to develop He Meng’s abilities?

Yang Yu spoke up, ”He Meng, can you turn into that cabinet over there?”

Even though He Meng was puffed up with anger, she still followed Yang Yu’s instructions, and a two-meter-tall brown cabinet rose up from the ground.

Yang Yu attempted to open it; the door could be moved, and the inside was hollow. However, the cabinet He Meng transformed into was completely different on the inside from the cabinet Yang Yu was referring to.

The cabinet Yang Yu pointed at had several shelves inside, while the cabinet He Meng turned into was quite empty.

By combining the fact that He Meng could grow teeth, Yang Yu gained some understanding of the workings of the skill.

The things that He Meng were not the exact appearances of things, but based on her understanding of those things.

When she swallowed Bai Jin just now, she did so by fully understanding Bai Jin through her body and then Bai Jin.

This wasn’t bad news at all; on the contrary, it was fantastic news.

It means that as long as He Meng gains enough understanding, she can transform into any form needed by the team under special circumstances.

The thought somewhat excited Yang Yu.

A bold plan to cultivate a ”Transforming Monster” took shape in Yang Yu’s mind.

He Meng was smart, able to grasp and comprehend the significance of certain existences.

If she could have a lesson on human anatomy, allowing her to the internal structure, perhaps it could resolve certain functions, such as the inability to speak and breathe, eventually becoming no different from replicating others.

Without further ado, Yang Yu took out a blackboard and a book on anatomy, simulating a classroom setting for He Meng.

”Listen carefully, He Meng, wanting to become human is still far from enough.

You still do not understand us humans completely, not from a mental level but a physical level. Only when you know our internal structure can you deceive others thoroughly.

Listen carefully, the reason we humans can make sounds is entirely because of this thing called the Adam’s apple… no, it’s the vocal cord… the specific structure is like this, the essence of sound is vibration, and the vocal cords vibrating can produce sound…

The reason we can hear sounds is because of something inside the ear called the eardrum...

The lungs look like this... the heart is like this... this is the liver... this is the spleen...

If you want to transform, you might as well change the liquid inside your body to red, simulating blood...

In this way, Yang Yu read through the contents of the textbook thoroughly for He Meng.

If seen by others, they might think Yang Yu was unreasonable, like playing the lute to a cow, giving a lesson to a slime.

But is it really like playing the lute to a cow?

He Meng listened with keen interest.

Since leaving the Slime Kingdom, He Meng had changed a lot.

Originally, as a Royal Slime, she wouldn’t randomly devour miscellaneous things, but the more she ventured with Yang Yu and the others, the more she realized that she had been left far behind by Yang Yu.

The young man who was once almost killed by her in one strike could now easily deal with opponents stronger than her.

In contrast, because she just stood by and watched, she made almost no progress.

For any progress she made, she had him to thank.

She couldn’t allow herself to stagnate any longer.

That guy, ever since, had been causing trouble, always taking her and his companions on adventures.

If she couldn’t play her part at crucial moments, there might truly be events she’d regret.

Therefore, He Meng started consuming things she didn’t want to eat, just to become stronger, and not hold the team back.

Yang Yu lectured for a long time.

In fact, even without such a long lecture, He Meng understood Yang Yu’s intention.

He Meng had once devoured a goblin, which, although not a subhuman race, had a skeletal structure somewhat similar to humans.

Following that, it should be no problem.

”That’s all I have to say. Once you’re clear on the structure, you might conduct transformations based on the original . You can give it a try.

Next...”

Yang Yu picked up He Meng and wrapped her around Iyas’s neck.

”Experience it firsthand. If you feel you still don’t understand, I permit you to crawl into Iyas’s mouth to have a look.”

On hearing this, Iyas shouted, ”Don’t make decisions like that! If I accidentally swallow He Meng, what then?”

”Leave half of He Meng outside; if she can’t get out, I’ll think of something.”

”How can you say such things with a straight face?”

”He Meng is also an important companion. Sacrificing a bit for a companion is no big deal, right?”

Iyas was silent for a moment before letting out a long sigh, ”Since you put it that way, there’s no choice. Just make sure to keep an eye on He Meng; I don’t want to die in some bizarre fashion.”

After speaking, Iyas seemed to brace himself psychologically and closed his eyes.

However, He Meng directly jumped off Iyas’s shoulder, her body shot up like a water column, and in the blink of an eye, she transformed into the likeness of blue-haired Bai Jin.

Then, He Meng’s height shrank a bit, her clothes gradually differed from Bai Jin’s, followed by changes in her facial features, becoming more delicate.

Using reflective metal objects in the room, He Meng adjusted the position of her facial features until she was satisfied.

In the blink of an eye, He Meng transformed into what looked like a blue-haired girl of thirteen or fourteen years old.

Yang Yu pinched his chin, looking at He Meng with an expression of ”The student truly excels,” saying:

”Even more capable than I imagined. That’s how it should be. Just...

He Meng, you should understand what I’m saying, mimic me and say a few words.”

Placing her fingers on her chin, He Meng made ”ee ya ya” sounds. Yang Yu frowned again, wasn’t this no different from just now?

Yang Yu helplessly scratched his head, ”Failed again?

Since she’s a slime, even though she’s a Royal Slime, having little contact with humans, it’s only natural not to know human language.

Teaching from scratch is quite troublesome.

He Meng, starting today, just be a mute! Keep this form, I’ll find a way to bluff through it, and I’ll teach you to speak gradually.

Ah—

Now, open your mouth for me, let me see to what extent you can .

”

Just as Yang Yu’s words fell, a tender voice that didn’t belong to Yang Yu, Bai Jin, or Iyas rang through the room with a hint of anger:

”You’re the one who is mute!”
