Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

”[Iron Wall]!”

Yang Yu’s sword stabbed directly, and from He Meng’s hand grew a light blue ball, swiftly expanding before her into a wall.

With a quick withdrawal of his sword blade, Yang Yu moved lightly and, in the blink of an eye, appeared on He Meng’s right side.

Behind the Iron Wall, He Meng had already turned around, launching eight ping-pong ball-sized blue ”Water Balls” from between her fingers, each one like a blue bullet.

Seeing the trajectory of each Water Ball clearly, Yang Yu swung his sword blade, shattering them one by one.

A sound like a balloon explosion echoed, and the shattered Water Balls fell to the ground, turning into a puddle of water, which, as if alive, quickly crawled back to He Meng’s side and returned to her hand.

This was Yang Yu’s envisioned solution.

He Meng was a Slime, capable of detaching a part of her body specifically to release skills, using the Water Ball in her hand as a second self to employ that part for defense and protection over her ”person.”

On the outside, merely calling He Meng a genius-level Special Water Mage was enough to perfectly pass as one.

After approximately a week of training, He Meng, even in human form, could exert seventy to eighty percent of her original power.

In a short time, He Meng met Yang Yu’s minimum requirements, and in some areas even surprised him.

He Meng’s understanding and learning abilities far exceeded Yang Yu’s expectations, not at all resembling a Slime.

Yang Yu didn’t need to explain things a second time; He Meng could easily remember what he had taught once.

Yang Yu wondered if He Meng was an exception, a particularly special Slime.

If all Royal Slimes possessed abilities very similar to those of He Meng, perhaps Slimes would be the most potential-filled demons in the world.

Once understanding the structure, even without comparing to the object, He Meng could simulate the approximate shape of an item.

Not comparing it with the actual item posed challenges; the softness and hardness of parts and detailed flaws could not be simulated by He Meng.

The best method of [Mimicry] would still be to swallow the entire item and completely dissolve it, thereby perfectly replicating the exterior and fully reproducing the internal structure.

Unfortunately, even with [Strong Acid Dissolution], He Meng was unusually slow at digesting some things, unable to swallow and reproduce them thoroughly, including some fresh meat.

According to He Meng’s description, most meat tasted like wax to her, akin to eating dirt. Before fully digesting, she wished to vomit it out.

Meat is certainly not what Slimes are meant to eat; without a strong will, it could not be fully digested.

Perhaps, because most Slimes hate eating meat, the Slime Kingdom hasn’t relied on the devouring ability to form extraordinarily powerful Slimes.

Living on grass, almost indistinguishable in appearance, residing far from danger underground, the Slimes of the Slime Kingdom live with almost no desires.

Imagining such a country, indeed, no rebellion would happen.

The Slime Prince’s revenge story is entirely just one’s own imagination.

Yang Yu couldn’t imagine why a group of demons that only eat grass would engage in a power struggle.

If He Meng hadn’t encountered him, she’d probably be the same as ordinary Slimes.

Under Yang Yu’s arrangements, He Meng prioritized refining her transformations.

Even if Yang Yu didn’t mention it, He Meng was vigorously shortening her transformation time. Now turning into human form takes only three to four seconds; transforming into other things may take a bit longer.

During training, Yang Yu also found the limitations of He Meng’s [Mimicry] and [Color Simulation].

He Meng cannot transform into things that are too big; even with the entire internal space made hollow, the maximum size she can transform into is slightly smaller than Lotcar.

The larger the transformation, the longer the coloring time required.

Transforming into large objects also bears disproportionate risks.

Speaking bluntly, after spending much time, He Meng might just become a paper tiger, with defense capabilities weaker than imagined, barely able to withstand a few attacks before reverting back.

On the contrary, if He Meng transforms into a brick slab and her blood volume isn’t halved in a short time, even if Yang Yu uses her to battle all day and all night, it doesn’t matter.

The maximum bearing limit and short-term bearing limit of human form He Meng took Yang Yu some time to figure out.

A week passed, and there wasn’t much left that Yang Yu needed to teach He Meng.

The rest can be taught on the road.

Yang Yu and his companions were ready to set off at any time; the departure timing depended on the progress of Tico’s investigation.

And on this day, Bai Jin and the others didn’t have to wait long.

That evening, Yang Yu received contact from Tico again.

Beneath the massive blue Mage hat, Tico’s face looked a bit weary, but upon seeing Yang Yu, the weariness on her face instantly vanished, facing Yang Yu with her best smile:

”Yang Yu, I’ve finished investigating everything you asked me to. The findings are quite abundant.”

Yang Yu bowed his head in gratitude: ”Lady Tico, thank you for your hard work.”

”Just call me Tico ordinarily. I still have work to do later, and I don’t want to affect your rest, so I’ll speak directly here.

Previously, someone also requested a similar investigation, so there wasn’t much difficulty encountered.

I’ll get straight to the conclusions.

Firstly, there’s [Holy Light Acceleration Stone], a Holy Artifact of the Goddess Sect, only six pieces exist in the world, each stored in different churches, and very few people can use them.

Every theft is a catastrophically serious event.

I heard recently one piece fell into the hands of someone called the Colorful-haired Masked Man. The Luo Ze Empire originally wanted to retrieve it through negotiation but didn’t expect a situation where the two countries couldn’t negotiate...

Recently, the battle situation between the two countries has gotten a bit bad; you all need to be cautious while in the Luo Ze Empire.

Before Latis returned to her country, she asked me to go to Luo Ze Empire, but our All Things Library also has its rules, maintaining neutrality among all countries, unable to leave casually.

The topic has strayed a bit...”

Tico showed a bitter smile.

Yang Yu comforted her: ”That’s unavoidable. We happen to be going to the capital of Luo Ze Empire; if I see her, I’ll pass on a greeting for you, speak well of her.”

”No need to talk to her; she has her stance too. After my refusal, she didn’t say much, just bid farewell ordinarily.”

Suppressing the involuntary look of loneliness on her face, Tico made a light coughing gesture, indicating she was about to continue speaking.

Sitting upright, Yang Yu focused his attention.

Tico began: ”In conclusion, the [Holy Light Acceleration Stone] is a tremendously valuable treasure.

I heard it naturally resonates with those strongly protected by the goddess, resulting in unprecedented power bursts.

So powerful it can even lift certain inviolable Special Statuses, leading us to the next topic we need to discuss....”
