Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Pretending to be a bit hesitant, Yang Yu tentatively asked, ”Just quietly asking, if we register as an S-Class adventure team now, can you keep it secret for us that we’ve become an S-Class adventure team? I don’t want to attract too much attention.”

Glarona clasped her hands together and tilted her head with a smile, ”I understand how you feel, sir.

Jumping straight to the pinnacle of adventurers in this world is certainly a bit unsettling.

But don’t worry, you will adapt quickly enough.

Let’s hurry up and fill out the form to complete the registration.

First of all, please decide on your team name.

By the way, a regular adventure group can change their name as long as they pay enough money, but because S-Class adventurers are in the public eye, they only get two chances to change their name.

Each name change takes a lot of work, so please decide on your team name carefully.”

With a long sigh, Yang Yu scratched his head, still pretending to be troubled, ”Actually, I’m not a native of the Luoze Empire, but I come from the neighboring Te Lun Republic. After conquering so many super large mazes, I still want to become an S-Class adventure team in my hometown. Registering as a Quasi-S-Class adventure team here will do.”

Glarona’s smile froze instantly, still smiling but looking quite terrifying as if her expression said, ”What are you saying? I didn’t hear that! Say it again!”

Yang Yu was unfazed, ”Miss Glarona, you’re pushing us to become an S-Class adventure team... is there a commission involved?”

Glarona shook her head, ”The adventurer guild is independent of any country. Even if you register as an S-Class adventure team, I get no benefits from it.”

”Then why?”

”It’s witnessing history,” Glarona smiled, ”There are currently twenty-three existing S-Class adventure teams worldwide, nineteen of which are inherited from S-Class adventure teams from a hundred years ago.

With inheritance, those adventure teams naturally possess a lot of precious treasures and tools and can also gain knowledge on Underground Maze strategies from their predecessors, making them better at conquering large underground mazes than the average adventurer.

As for regular adventure teams, aspiring to advance to S-Class is much harder than maintaining an inheritance by far.

Your ability to conquer three super large mazes is enough to determine your strength.

Importantly... two years ago, you just debuted.

The future is promising.

You might even kick those longstanding top-tier S-Class adventure teams from their thrones someday.

Thinking about that day arriving... seeing your record has our adventure guild’s name on it excites me to no end.”

Two years ago... can one find such exact information?

Yang Yu frowned, recalling that during his time in Wansheng Country, he had his identity updated at the adventurer guild...

Could she see this information too?

It feels like things suddenly became complicated.

Originally, he chose to advance as an adventure team to avoid trouble, yet some things became known which shouldn’t have been.

He was unsure to what extent she understood him, but if she wanted to spread the news, it wouldn’t be easy to stop.

Since that’s the case...

”I can register as an S-Class adventure team here, but please ensure discretion, and don’t make it public. Don’t disclose our information to others, just say we’re still a Quasi-S-Class adventure team outside.

If that’s not possible, I’ll leave now, and the task I’m interested in can be skipped.

Moreover, should you promise and then break your word, you’ll bear the consequences.”

Yang Yu’s expression changed, his face full of menace, making a throat-slitting gesture with his thumb, yet Glarona wasn’t afraid, still smiling, and said:

”I will keep it a secret for you, but only for three months.

Once a new S-Class adventure team is created, it’s directly logged in the giant dragon’s records.

To prevent the new S-Class adventure team from being disturbed or causing uproar, there’s usually a three-month hidden buffer period.

After the three-month buffer, the dragon will publicize your names and some information.”

”You could’ve told me that from the start.”

Glarona tapped her temple and stuck out her tongue, ”Chatting more can reveal unknown things. Since you’ve made up your minds, please wait a bit.”

With that, afraid that Yang Yu and his group might change their minds, Glarona closed her eyes and clasped her hands, communicating with her superiors.

Soon, six crystalline sheets appeared before Glarona, and with a wave of her hand, they landed in Yang Yu’s hand.

Touching them carefully, each sheet had a liquid crystal display feel, and checking the contents, the first five sheets displayed the personal information of Yang Yu’s group.

After a quick skim, the content was similar to what appeared in the crystal ball but with three additional items: race, comprehensive evaluation, and potential index.

The race section accurately showed each person’s true race: Iyas is an elf, He Meng is a slime, Lotcar is of the Silver Teeth Clan...

What surprised Yang Yu most wasn’t even this but rather the numbers in the potential index column.

Apart from his own number being slightly lower, everyone else’s potential index matched their current levels.

This isn’t just a coincidence.

”Could I ask, Miss Glarona, what the potential index is all about?”

”It means just what it suggests, your potential. The smaller the number, the greater your potential... well, that may not be entirely accurate; a larger number means the more potential you’ve developed, so this explanation makes more sense.”

”Is there an upper limit to the potential index?”

”I don’t know. If you don’t mind the hassle, you can ask at headquarters.”

”I see...”

It seems the dragon recognizes the existence of levels, but they tactfully implied it, letting people know their level indirectly, which seems a special courtesy given by the dragon?

After briefly browsing through everyone’s personal information, Yang Yu turned to the last page.

There were some fields that needed filling, such as the adventure group name, establishment date, main activity range, adventure group history, etc.

Glarona smiled and said, ”First, decide on your adventure group’s name.”

In fact, before registering, Yang Yu had already prepared a name for the adventure group, called [Two Tigers Love to Dance].

As for a regular adventure group, as long as they had enough money, they could change names at will, and since money wasn’t an issue for him...

Initially, Yang Yu had this mindset.

But...

Becoming an S-Class adventure team, the group’s name is a symbol of prestige, while others have names like [Red Blood Rose], [Wild Warrior], and here he was with [Two Tigers Love to Dance, Little Bunny Remove Carrot], the style would be completely broken.

Yang Yu decided he needed to think of a brave and awe-inspiring name that would match the team possibly saving the world in the future.

After racking his brain for a while, Yang Yu finally realized he might just be terrible at naming.
