Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

”...This is all I know. I hope it can help you.”

Iyas’s face appeared on Bai Jin’s crystal ball, and Iyas revealed all the information he knew.

After the winter campaign ended, he was assigned to the Sailuomen Plain to carry out defense tasks there. He only had rumors about Ming Dalak’s whereabouts and could not confirm Ming Dalak’s location with certainty.

”Thank you very much.” Yang Yu removed the mask from his face, revealing his true appearance.

Iyas smiled and said, ”I’ve heard a little about your performance on the battlefield recently.

Whether this war can be stopped depends on you.

I hope your plan goes smoothly.”

Although not knowing what Yang Yu wanted to do, Iyas still helped Yang Yu as much as he could.

Iyas believed their goals were completely aligned; both wanted this war to end in peace.

Yang Yu nodded heavily and had Bai Jin sever the connection.

On familiar terrain, Lotcar sped over mountain forests, heading towards Baihua City.

Before entering the Wansheng Republic, Bai Jin and Iyas made their final contact.

Iyas and He Meng barely made progress, and after Chilom’s persuasion, the current Luo Ze Emperor finally accepted reality.

Under the inside-outside cooperation of the Peace Faction, the banquet seamlessly turned into a meeting to discuss future handling.

Before leaving the Luo Ze Royal Capital, Yang Yu shared some clever strategies with He Meng and Chilom for pushing the meeting forward.

But those strategies might not be needed at all, as Yang Yu believed the Peace Faction could do even better.

After all, they too have worked hard for the peace they hold dear.

Unfortunately, the charm technique used by the lurking Enchanting Demon was quite advanced.

Even if broken, those charmed would retain no memory of the Enchanting Demon.

The memories of those charmed became quite fuzzy over the years, as if they had a long dream where a voice constantly guided them to do things against their will.

Without information on the Enchanting Demon, tracking them for arrest was impossible.

A large number of Enchanting Demons still lurked in the royal capital.

Distinguishing the Enchanting Demons from the ordinary people was a daunting task.

However, it was not without solutions.

Knowing the whereabouts of the ”Holy Light Acceleration Stone,” the Goddess Sect should soon be at their door.

If negotiations succeed, using the Goddess Sect’s power to identify suspicious individuals in the city one by one, picking out those with strange magic power flowing inside them, then sealing and isolating them, should constrain some Enchanting Demons, weakening their power.

The war was not completely over; it was still a sensitive period. The Beastmen still hated humans, and Yang Yu had Lotcar avoid towns and take smaller paths to avoid being seen by Beastmen, preventing unnecessary trouble.

But sometimes, even if you don’t seek trouble, trouble will find you.

Without warning, a huge wall interwoven by vines blocked Yang Yu and his group’s path forward.

Clumsily rising from Lotcar, Bai Jin chanted a spell, and in front of a pure white array, a massive ice spear emitting white smoke suddenly formed.

The ice spear, following Bai Jin’s command, flew through the air, stabbing a big hole in the huge wall, opening a path for Yang Yu and his group.

But just as Yang Yu and his group were about to pass through the passage, the wall’s gap rapidly regrew as if receiving some command.

In the next moment, the wildly growing vines completely sealed the gap Bai Jin had created.

Surveying the surroundings, this wall of vines extended endlessly left and right, and who knew how long it would take to bypass it.

This wall composed of vines was simply impossible to be naturally formed.

There was only one race that could manipulate plants.

If it was as they thought, Hans Morning Glory should have been exposed and sided with Ming Dalak.

Not knowing whether there were traps near the wall, Yang Yu decided to implement a straightforward and forceful breakthrough.

”Bai Jin, use Flame Magic. Lotcar, speed through it in one go.”

Crafting a fiery magic array, the surrounding magic power turned into a blazing and massive flame before Bai Jin.

Bai Jin hurled the flame, and the field of vines instantly transformed into roaring flames, creating many gaps in the dense wall, with the burning vines struggling to regenerate.

Seizing the opportunity, Lotcar whipped up a gust around his body, launching a powerful charge through the blazing fiery wall.

However, on the other side of the wall, someone had been awaiting them for some time.

The robust Dongmu stood right in Lotcar’s path, spreading his arms wide to embrace Lotcar’s slender muzzle.

Lotcar was strong, dragging Dongmu forward and crashing into several large trees, yet Dongmu’s arms remained firmly locked around Lotcar.

”It wasn’t easy to catch you, but it seems our gamble paid off.”

In front of a large tree, Dongmu finally stopped Lotcar, smiling at Yang Yu.

Yang Yu also smiled and greeted, ”Long time no see, General Dongmu.”

Hans Morning Glory stood on the tree branches near Yang Yu’s group, observing. Before he could speak, several Frost Ice Arrows shot toward him.

A vine sprouted from his hand, wrapping around the branch he stood on. Hans spun 360 degrees along the tree trunk, dodging Bai Jin’s attack.

Hans smirked, ”We’ve at least met before, yet the first move is an attack, truly ruthless. I was hoping for a touching reunion between us.”

Yang Yu turned his head and said, ”You wish.

You’re here to eliminate us, right?

In that case, we must strike first.”

After finishing, Yang Yu leaped off Lotcar, shadows enveloping his sword blade, striking toward Dongmu who held Lotcar.

Just as he was about to hit Dongmu, an eerie and nimble figure swiftly blocked Yang Yu’s path.

A sharp dagger collided with Yang Yu’s sword, sparking a black flare.

The powerful force transmitted through the sword blade made Yang Yu use Climbing to grip the ground, bouncing back the attack.

The short, less-than-a-meter figure continuously flipped in the sky, landing on a tree trunk without a pause, then bent and leaped from the trunk, bursting forward toward Yang Yu with unbelievable speed.

Yang Yu could see the figure attacking him was a Raccoon Cat Beastman.

She was a former member of the ”Wild Warrior,” exceeding Level 130, with both Strength and Speed surpassing 3000, faster even than Yang Yu.

The moment Yang Yu saw the Raccoon Cat Beastman’s figure, she silently vanished.

This was the assassin skill, Stealth, allowing one to obscure their presence.

The Raccoon Cat Beastman’s speed was extremely fast, and an attack could come from any direction.

A blood-red aura appeared on Yang Yu’s body, infusing into the ground, spreading a Gravity Field beneath his feet.

Yang Yu quickly scanned the surroundings to capture any abnormalities.

Stealth could make breath and posture temporarily disappear, but it couldn’t make the body’s volume vanish.

If one could detect slight movements, they could still track the assassin’s movements.
