Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Lux Year 416, April 5th.

The Orcs’ attack has slowed down significantly compared to before, which has puzzled the soldiers of the Luo Ze Empire.

Previously, the Orcs were always searching for a breach, constantly attempting to attack from various directions.

Now, more and more Orcs linger at the edge of the battle line, neither attacking nor retreating.

The Special Apeman Combat Unit remains as active as ever, persistently making some conventional probing attacks.

It’s not just the Human troops that find it strange, the military decision-makers orchestrating the war for the Luo Ze Empire also sense something unusual.

After thorough investigations, they discovered where the issue lies.

Yue Leina, dressed in military uniform, pointed at the map with a long stick, marking every area where morale has declined,

”...In summary, we can conclude that after our troops come into contact with that Human unit, morale seems to decline.

This is not normal low morale.

Some officers have already begun to defy our orders and are fighting half-heartedly.

After investigating them, we found that they were previously subordinates of Potato Thorn.

In their respective lines of battle, it seems they have all had contact with a young man riding a white wolf.”

Hans Morning Glory put his hands on his head, casually resting his legs on the conference table:

”Undoubtedly, that young man riding the white wolf must be Potato Thorn.

It’s hard to imagine that he would appear so openly on the battlefield and even join the Human troops.

At this point, how he convinced the Luo Ze Empire’s high command to accept him...

That’s not important.

What’s important is that he is now our enemy.

Since he has become a traitor, we have the right to disregard combat power and bring him to justice, dealing with the traitor.

We shall see if the Luo Ze Empire is willing to spend heavily to protect him.”

Fiddling with his chin, Dongmu didn’t show his usual optimistic smile: ”So it’s said.

The situation in the country is somewhat complicated; I didn’t expect that guy to be so popular.

It’s extremely rare to find people who are available; most choose to wait and see, including the Blood Lion Clan, unable to persuade them.

The Family Head resolutely refused, truly heartless.”

”Maybe, he noticed something. Or perhaps, Potato Thorn said something to him before leaving.

Regarding the negotiations that day, Potato Thorn seemed to have anticipated that things would evolve this way, otherwise, he wouldn’t have fled so quickly,” Yue Leina recalled.

”My matters, too, should have proceeded smoothly.

That guy must have said something to the other members of the Plant Clan.”

Hans Morning Glory took his legs off the table, looking serious,

”That guy must be plotting something.

If this goes on, the plan might fail, and eliminating him is the only way to thwart his plan.

Am I right, Ming Dalak?”

Through the Crystal Ball, Ming Dalak was also watching this meeting; he neither immediately acknowledged nor instantly denied it.

Originally thinking everything would be under his control, Ming Dalak did not expect Yang Yu to pull such a move.

The more he recalls everything that has happened so far, the more Ming Dalak can’t believe that Yang Yu could achieve this single-handedly.

If everything is still within Yang Yu’s calculations, then it’s truly terrifying.

The more he recalls what Yang Yu said to him that day, the more Ming Dalak feels that everything is slipping out of his control, entering Yang Yu’s control.

What Yang Yu said to him that day clearly had a few hints of inducement, but he overlooked this because Yang Yu spoke so convincingly.

In conclusion, Yang Yu successfully exploited both his fear of unknown relics and his confidence in his own centuries of experience.

Perhaps...

No, he would reignite the war, which Yang Yu also foresaw.

The more he thinks, the more Ming Dalak feels a deep-seated terror.

Ming Dalak initially thought he was the one manipulating everything from behind, but turning back, he realized that he might just be a chess piece himself, unable to comprehend what the player is thinking.

Yang Yu dares to appear on the battlefield, indicating he has already begun executing his next step in the plan.

Although not knowing what thoughts Yang Yu harbors, at this point, Ming Dalak can only proceed with his own ideas and carry out the plan.

Only that plan can lead the Wansheng Republic into a new future.

If Yang Yu truly can stop him, then bring it on!

”I will immediately contact powerful hitters to purge that traitor.

If you encounter him on the battlefield, you can try to engage, but if you can’t win, retreat in time and avoid getting embroiled in a prolonged battle.

His growth speed far exceeds our expectations, and at present, we have no way to determine just how strong he is.”

As soon as Ming Dalak finished speaking, before anyone present could respond,

a Messenger Soldier grabbed an envoy and walked into the barracks, saluting the generals present:

”Report, we found a suspicious Human outside the barracks, claiming to be an envoy from Luo Ze’s troops, saying there’s something urgent to negotiate.”

Dongmu glanced at the well-dressed Human and said, ”If it’s about a ceasefire, I advise you not to waste your breath.”

The envoy tremblingly handed over a letter and said, ”It’s not a ceasefire, but a final battle... This is a declaration of a final battle. Please prepare accordingly, for a fight to the death. If you lose, then get off Human land and leave!”

”What did you say!”

Dongmu threw a punch into the air, and the fierce wind brushed towards the envoy, causing his knees to tremble, nearly bringing him to his knees, raising his hands high and saying:

”I’ve said all I needed to say. I surrender. I surrender!”

As this comical scene unfolded among the Wansheng Republic’s troops, Human defense forces gathered en masse, launching a coordinated attack on the Wansheng Republic’s military strongholds in the Luo Ze Empire.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Even if the Human troops didn’t understand why the Orcs’ morale had declined, they had to seize the moment to drive the Orcs out of this land.

If the Orcs regained their confidence, the war would undoubtedly reach a stalemate then.

The decision made by Luo Ze’s troops couldn’t be separated from the influence of Yang Yu.

Whenever he had time, Yang Yu would repeatedly go to higher-level Generals to offer advice.

Saying things like ”I have a plan to shake the Orcs’ confidence in battle, but my method has shortcomings, and I don’t know how long this trump card of mine will last”, ”Once this opportunity is gone, it won’t come back, and if the secret is exposed, the Orcs might attack even harder”, ”I’ve also extracted secret intelligence from the Orcs, stating that after April 5th, they’ll deploy more soldiers”, ”Furthermore, the plan must not be disclosed, as there are actually spies from Wansheng Country within the Luo Ze Empire”… and so on.

It was through Yang Yu’s persistence in persuasion that the Generals of the Luo Ze Empire unanimously agreed to the plan.

If they won, they would gain reputation from Yang Yu’s proposal and make good with him; if they lost, they could place the blame on a scapegoat, selling Yang Yu a favor.
