Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 342: Chapter 342 I’m Tired

Suddenly, the ground in front of Luo shattered without warning, and several thorny thistles sprouted, entangling Luo’s slender body, almost tripping her.

Luo’s paws shot out an Ice Blade into the ground, barely stabilizing her form.

Yet, this attack made her view the unassuming youth before her as unfathomably deep,

”...such Skill should belong to the Plant Clan, how do you know this move?”

The Sword Blade swept past Luo’s body, while Yang Yu launched a continuous onslaught of attacks, responding while he fought:

”Having one or two secrets I don’t want others to know is understandable. I’ve said not to sweat the small stuff. Instead of worrying about that, you should think about how to escape.”

”This level can’t stop me.”

Enduring several of Yang Yu’s attacks, Luo’s body emitted Cold Air, instantly freezing and shattering the crisp thorns, the chill penetrating deep. Yang Yu withdrew his sword and put distance between himself and Luo,

”You’ve got some skills, kid, but that level won’t defeat me. Before I left my clan to adventure, I was also among the best of the young ones, ’Cold Air Ice Shattering.’”

Her eyes emitted a pale blue light, and numerous water vapors gathered around Luo, forming tiny ice balls.

Since close-range attacks could be easily dodged by him, it was time to try a wide-range attack.

Yang Yu did not stop; he kept moving while observing each and every movement of Luo.

Currently, the only effective means he had of inflicting damage on the opponent was ”Shadow Deception.”

In the All Things Library, Yang Yu had found many interesting offensive Skills, all of which did not require any attribute panel to execute.

If he could equip all those Skills, Yang Yu would even be able to continuously use Skills, completely replacing normal attacks, no longer worrying about insufficient output.

Unfortunately, that goal was still far too distant.

Now, inadequate attack was just inadequate attack. To gather those Skills, he didn’t know how long it would take or how many Skill Points it would need.

Furthermore, before acquiring those Skills, there were other skills with higher priority he needed to get.

In the short term, it was impossible for him to completely compensate for the deficiency in output. His output would still have to rely on Bai Jin and Iyas.

This battle looked like it would inevitably become a protracted one, much like those before.

However, Yang Yu was not prepared for a drawn-out battle.

If he used ”Interception,” he could easily block all the ice balls, but that would only drag the fight into an endless loop, contrasting with his desire for Sena to leave soon and rest properly.

Thus, Yang Yu thought of a very simple strategy.

That was to completely crush Luo’s confidence, making her feel that no matter how she fought, she would ultimately lose and completely lose the will to fight.

Watching the ice balls multiplying around Luo, Yang Yu put away his shield, sheathed his sword, and walked towards Luo unarmed.

”What are you doing, kid? Have you decided to give up on the fight? Are you thinking of surrendering?”

”Surrender? Does it look like that?

As you see, my partners are already very tired. I can defeat you; it will just take a little bit longer.”

”They probably won’t be able to wait that long.”

”So, I have a proposal.”

”Shoot at me, and if none of your attacks hit me, can I consider this battle won?”

While speaking, Yang Yu moved closer and closer to Luo,

”Do not be afraid, just shoot at me.

If you continue like this, I will only get closer and closer to you, and by then, you will have no chance to attack.

Or, are you simply too scared to attack, afraid that I will dodge all your attacks and leave you humiliated in defeat?

Do you really have so little confidence in the power of your Nine-tailed Cat Demon?

With so many ice orbs floating around you, don’t you have the confidence to even hit me once?”

Yang Yu taunted Luo in the same way Luo had taunted him, every step he took resonated firmly.

”If you don’t hurry up, I’ll be right beside you.”

Watching Yang Yu getting closer, Luo felt a mix of complicated emotions, unable to decide whether to attack or not.

Though Yang Yu unilaterally made the pledge, she could either agree or disagree, but Yang Yu’s actions compelled her up against the wall, leaving her no choice but to agree.

If she did not dare to attack, it would mean she was truly frightened.

”Enough.”

One of the objectives of this duel was to ascertain just how capable Yang Yu was, whether he was as strong as he claimed, the strongest in their team.

Luo gathered her spirits, her pale blue eyes fixed intently on Yang Yu, continuously increasing the number of ice orbs floating around her until their number swelled to a full hundred, each the size of a chicken egg.

Luo refused to believe that with Yang Yu as a living target, she would miss all hundred attempts.

”Be warned, if I truly don’t hit you once, you win this battle.”

Yang Yu smiled and continued moving forward, ”Less talk, start quickly, I’m getting a bit tired!”

Under Yang Yu’s taunting, Luo launched her attack, showing no mercy—against such arrogant people, she was determined to crush them utterly and show them the true extent of their strength.

And Yang Yu hoped for the same; judging someone’s strength merely by perception could lead to significant mistakes.

A hundred ice orbs began to rotate around Luo, rubbing against the air with whooshing sounds, growling like ghosts, and Luo was like a Death God controlling all the ice orbs, every orb exuding an indescribable chilling air.

Without warning, ten ice orbs broke free from the swirling vortex and were hurled at an incredible speed towards Yang Yu’s chest. Yang Yu merely shifted slightly to the side and slipped through the ten spinning ice orbs.

Ten ice orbs smashed into the ground behind him, creating ten deep pits. Luo was confident that if even one of these orbs hit Yang Yu, the victor would be decided in an instant.

However, Yang Yu seemed completely indifferent to the power of the ice orbs and continued to walk toward Luo.

What on earth was going on with this man? Why was he able to remain so calm?

Luo was shaken but did not stop her attacks, with a light flick of her claws, twenty more ice orbs heavily flew toward Yang Yu, forming a formation that he couldn’t easily break through.

But as the ice orbs neared Yang Yu, time seemed to freeze at that moment. Yang Yu swung his arms and twisted his neck as if doing a radio exercise, and once again effortlessly found his way through the numerous orbs, easily breaking through the defensive line formed by the ice orbs.
