Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 327: Chapter 327: Magic Cube is really fun

”Yang Yu didn’t want to delay completing the Hidden Task, but the most urgent matter at hand was to wait for Iyas to learn to use the Holy Light before setting off to find her younger brother.

If he broke his promise, Iyas’s favorability towards him could plummet drastically, preventing their relationship from developing into one of trust.

Although Iyas’s growth values weren’t bad, without getting deeper into her trust and being unable to use the free attribute points from the Underground Maze, Iyas’s strength would only fall further behind, and eventually, she would end up as nothing more than a Tool Man.

Having finally pried the promising seedling, Iyas, from someone else’s pot into his own backyard, Yang Yu hoped to see Iyas grow robustly rather than encountering any bizarre obstacles midway.

Besides, with the key to the deep door of the Goblin Maze tightly in his grasp, Yang Yu had nothing to worry about.

Even S-rank adventurers couldn’t breach that door; the Goblin Emperor’s legacy was safer than imagined. Taking a trip around the world and back, the Goblin Emperor’s legacy would likely not diminish in the least.

If it were easy to take, that Underground Maze would have ceased to exist long ago.

After weighing the pros and cons, Yang Yu chose the most prudent approach.

With undeniable regret in his eyes, Sekamens said despondently,

’Then so be it... I won’t insist. I wish you a smooth journey.’

After speaking, Sekamens left the Duel Arena with his companion and the Iron Wall Association.

Meanwhile, Yang Yu invited Bai Jin to stroll the streets and gather information about the Chaoyang Chamber of Commerce.

At this moment,

In the Golden Crow of the royal capital of the Sethis Kingdom,

an extremely conspicuous building stood amidst the bustling business district. A brownish bell tower paired with a grand palace design was a sight to behold; elegant sculptures and luxuriant ornamental plants shaped like animals surrounded the building, exuding a great sense of style.

Who would have thought that this building was actually an auction house?

More precisely, the tall bell tower served as the venue for the auctions, whereas the rest of the structure functioned as a vast chamber of commerce, accommodating VIPs, storing documents, holding meetings, and much more.

To be invited to the VIP seats of this chamber was a privilege reserved for the elite.

Today, in the VIP room of the auction house, a distinguished guest had arrived.

He appeared young, with a physique and face looking much like a boy of merely thirteen or fourteen, though he was, in fact, twenty-two years old. His features were strikingly handsome, the sort that when thrown into a crowd of girls, would elicit endless screams and unwelcome hands.

There he sat alone, legs crossed, on a luxurious sofa, fiddling with a palm-sized strange cube.

Each face of the cube was painted a different color, neatly segmented into a 3X3 grid of smaller squares. These small squares could shift around, carrying their colors on the surface of the larger cube.

What he was now doing was trying to rearrange the jumbled small squares by twisting them back to their original places to restore the cube to its initial state.

No one had asked him to do so; he was simply amusing himself.

During a strategy session in some Underground Maze, he had stumbled upon the design of this object and had his teammate craft it.

Since then, restoring this Magic Cube had become one of his daily diversions.

Yet, no matter how he turned it, he had never managed to restore the Magic Cube.

Today, like always, he managed to complete one side, but soon he scrambled it again, continuing to search for the genuine method to piece the Magic Cube together.”

Suddenly, someone gently knocked on the door of the VIP room.

Before he could say ”come in,” a girl with orange-yellow hair, dressed in a striking red gown and looking incredibly exquisite, entered the room.

She lightly lifted her skirt and bowed to the young man,

”Lord Gordon Lainer of ’Red Blood Rose,’ I am Liu Li Serti Sun, one of the main persons in charge at the Golden Crow Auction House. It’s an honor to meet you.”

Being a distant relative of the Royal Family, Liu Li Serti Sun and her family generally avoid actively mentioning their full names, which have ties to the Royal Family.

The reason Liu Li gave her full name so generously was firstly because the man in front of her had a special status and revealing her full name made him feel valued, and secondly, to leave a straightforward and favorable impression on Gordon.

However, Gordon was not interested in this stunning beauty. He stopped fiddling with his Magic Cube,

”Have you found any leads on the item we asked you to look for?”

Although disappointed by Gordon’s aloofness, Liu Li did not let it show on her face or in her words; she just expressed the same smile as usual,

”Lord Gordon, the item you’re looking for has not been received by our auction house, but if similar items show up in the future, we will inform you immediately and invite you here.”

Standing up from the sofa, Gordon put away his Magic Cube,

”Thank you, We’ll continue to bring spoils of war to your auction house, and I hope to hear good news by then.”

After saying this, Gordon walked toward the door, and Liu Li quickly said:

”Lord Gordon, since you’re here, why not have a quick meal before leaving? You are a major client for us, both as a buyer and a seller, and we’ve received much of your support. If possible, I would like to share dinner with you.”

”No need.”

Not having obtained any useful information, staying further would just be a waste of time.

Gordon did not stop his pace and passed by Liu Li, leaving the Sunrise Chamber of Commerce’s auction house.

Watching Gordon leave, Liu Li stood still and expressionless, closed the door of the VIP room, and after making sure no one was around, she quickly moved to the sofa where Gordon had sat and sat down.

A blush of indescribable ripples appeared on her calm face.

”Hehe—”

”Hehe—”

With her lips crazily curling up, Liu Li struggled to keep herself from laughing out loud, but eventually couldn’t help releasing a mad, girlish giggle,

”So cute, cute, cute.....(X50)! Ha—Ha—, Today’s Lord Gordon was as adorable as ever, with that tiny figure, that youthful appearance, it would definitely feel so comfortable to hold him!

Truly worthy of being the leader of ’Red Blood Rose.’”

Hugging her shoulders, Liu Li kept giggling,

”Hehehe, sitting on the sofa that Lord Gordon once sat on feels just like being embraced by him.

Hmm, I’ve decided, I am going to forever treasure this sofa.

Whenever there’s something distressing, I’ll just sit on this sofa, and as long as I can feel the same embrace, I will definitely be invincible, reinvigorate myself, and overcome all difficulties. Hehe—”

Despite being fixated on not having shared dinner with the admired Lord Gordon, the brief conversation with Gordon was more than enough to satisfy Liu Li.
