The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1390: Chapter 1390: Actually Worried Nathalie Might Feel Pressured

The three of them first went to handle the luggage check-in, and then got their airplane tickets.

After Nathalie Quinlan found her seat, she placed her single shoulder bag on her left side, walked over, and took out her phone to send someone a message on WhatsApp.

[Q: On our way.]

After she sent the message, she turned off her phone and started chatting intermittently with Jackson Wafford and Leo Dunn.

She didn’t say much; most of the time, they were asking her about the details of the competition, and Nathalie answered lazily.

Whatever they asked, she answered.

She seemed very calm and unhurried, with no apparent pressure on her, wearing her hat low, leaning back in her seat, with a slight gap under the brim revealing her sleepy, half-closed eyes.

While chatting with her, Leo Dunn often glanced at her injured right hand.

Seeing Nathalie’s nonchalant demeanor, he swallowed all the words of concern and pretended nothing was wrong.

He still dutifully advised the girl on some competition matters, like the competition time and rules, with the same rigorous and serious attitude as usual.

As for the final ranking Nathalie might achieve in the finals, Leo Dunn felt more at ease.

Just like the principal had said, being able to enter the finals of a world-class IT competition this time was already a significant progress for the country.

One must learn to be content~

With this thought, the weight on Leo Dunn’s shoulder lightened considerably, and he earnestly explained the rules of the finals to Nathalie.

After he finished speaking, he shifted from his previous serious expression, his brows softened, and he gently pressed Nathalie’s shoulder, softly saying, ”Don’t give yourself too much pressure. Let’s treat these finals as just a game; having fun is what’s most important. Don’t worry too much about winning or losing. As long as you enjoy yourself, we’ve already won.”

Nathalie hadn’t thought about losing, but with him pressing her shoulder and gently comforting her, she revealed her striking face under the brim of her hat, her beautiful eyes reflecting Leo Dunn’s gentle face.

She raised her uninjured left hand, pulling the brim of her hat down, masking the tumult in her eyes, nodding calmly and nonchalantly: ”Alright.”

Seeing that Nathalie was without psychological pressure, Leo Dunn relaxed a bit, smiled slightly, and turned to discuss the arrangements after the airplane landed with Jackson Wafford.

After the airplane took off, the cabin became quiet.

Jackson Wafford and Leo Dunn had gotten up early that morning and had talked about many details concerning McKinney, so they were a bit tired and stopped talking.

Nathalie requested a blindfold and blanket from the flight attendant. Although she didn’t sleep, she sat back and closed her eyes, resting quietly.

It takes three hours to fly from Beijing to McKinney.

The airplane flew steadily at nine thousand meters high, piercing through thick clouds.

Meanwhile, in McKinney.

As a third-tier city, McKinney rarely hosts particularly large events.

This software competition is considered the biggest event in McKinney in recent years.

The stadium to be used for the finals was sealed off three days in advance for various preparations.

Additionally, half of McKinney’s largest five-star hotel was booked to accommodate the international participants and their staff.

The international IT association also sent people over this time.

The domestic IT association personnel had arrived early, and arrangements for accommodation for these guests had been made long ago, with the reception work already underway.
