The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1366: Chapter 1366: He Thought It Was Just a Minor Car Accident, No Need to Make a Fuss

Hendrik Zachmann stood up straight, opened the car door, and got inside, putting the phone to his ear: ”Hello, Mr. Barness.”

Evron Barness was always well-informed.

As soon as the call connected, he succinctly asked Hendrik Zachmann, ”I heard your sister went to the hospital? Which hospital is she in? How is she doing?”

Hendrik Zachmann took a cigarette from the car’s drawer, lit it, and squinted with irritation, softly saying, ”City Hospital, emergency ward.”

He squinted, his gaze somewhat indifferent: ”As for her condition, I don’t know at the moment.”

”You don’t know?” Evron Barness asked, slightly puzzled: ”That’s odd, none of your family went to the hospital?”

Hendrik Zachmann lifted his head, looking at the few pedestrians at the hospital entrance, and replied unhurriedly, ”Yes, they went. My dad went in to ask the doctor about her condition. My mom and Caryn didn’t have time to come. I’m waiting outside for my uncle and them. Just a few people, what’s up?”

He thought Nathalie Quinlan had just been in a minor car accident and seemed to be out of immediate life-threatening danger.

It was just a minor car accident, no need to make a fuss over it as if it were something major. After all, hasn’t everyone had minor accidents, getting a few scratches?

Evron Barness paused when he heard him say ’just a few people,’ then replied after a long pause, ”Nothing much. I’m on the way, Nathalie had a car accident, I should come for a visit too. I’ll call you when I arrive.”

Hendrik Zachmann frowned slightly, just about to say it was unnecessary to make a special trip.

Evron Barness hurriedly said, ”That’s it, I’ll hang up now.”

”Hey, Evron...” Hendrik Zachmann didn’t have time to politely refuse, Evron Barness had already hung up.

Feeling slightly irritated, Hendrik Zachmann put the phone down and stared at the disconnected call, his slightly furrowed brows furrowing even more.

He felt that for Nathalie Quinlan, just a young girl having a minor car accident, making such a big deal was unnecessary.

For Evron Barness’s status to especially come to see Nathalie... completely unnecessary!

Just as Hendrik Zachmann thought this, he put down the phone and looked up, only to see a car stopping right in front of him.

The license plate was extremely ostentatious.

Beijing.888888.

In Beijing, only one person could use this license plate number—Amadeus Yancey!

His heart skipped a beat, and he fixed his eyes to see better.

A man got out of the black Hongqi car, with a high nose bridge and distant, cold eyes. Holding car keys, he almost didn’t pause as he headed straight into the hospital.

Hendrik Zachmann hadn’t yet recovered.

Soon, more cars began to stop one after another near the hospital entrance, not far from him.

Sadam Vinson, Govert Griffin, Candice Yancey, Mr. Yancey, and several members of the Yancey Family came, soon blocking the narrow parking space outside the City Hospital completely.

Hendrik Zachmann never expected so many people to come for Nathalie Quinlan’s small car accident.

His eyelids twitched violently, tightening his grip on the steering wheel, his back already tense.

Quite a few people had already arrived.

Hendrik Zachmann thought that was about it.

Unexpectedly, more cars came one after another.

Shawn Norton.

Jackson Wafford.

These few people were understandable to him.

Hendrik Zachmann saw later, he hadn’t expected to see another rather unbelievable person—Owen Yapiter!

Evron Barness’s grandfather!

His lips turned pale.

A blank swept over his mind, with a feeling of bewilderment, unable to snap out of it.
