The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1369: Chapter 1369: Nathalie Directly Uncovers the Mastermind

Aside from Caryn Zachmann, the Zachmann Family still has Audrick Zachmann, Stanley Zachmann, and others.

Nathalie Quinlan had to consider their feelings to some extent.

Especially since Mr. Zachmann is getting older, and his health isn’t great. If Nathalie got involved in this matter, Mr. Zachmann might not blame her, but he would feel sad.

It’s not convenient for Nathalie to come forward, so perhaps he should handle it instead.

It doesn’t matter if he’s an outsider.

”I’ve already instructed someone to investigate the large truck driver to find out who’s behind him.”

Nathalie’s mind had been tightly wound, almost about to snap. Even she didn’t know when it might break... until now, she felt Amadeus Yancey’s hand gently stroking her back, like a soft breeze soothing the fire in her heart.

The fire in her heart gradually cooled down.

The tension in her mind seemed less unbearable than before.

The hostility in Nathalie’s eyes dissipated a lot. She closed her eyes, suppressing the anger swirling between her brows, then slowly opened them again. Her gaze had calmed considerably, and her voice was hoarse: ”There’s no need to make it so troublesome.”

”Hmm?” Amadeus Yancey continued to gently stroke her back, calming her emotions.

Nathalie quickly adjusted her mindset, lifted her head from his embrace, her clear eyes deep and dark, looking somewhat mischievous.

Nathalie’s tone was very calm, absent of the previous sense of oppression, as she asked him: ”Do you have your phone with you?”

”I do.” Amadeus probably guessed what she wanted to do, raised his eyebrows, found his phone, and handed it to her: ”Your hand...”

”It’s just an ordinary person I’m investigating. One hand is enough.”

Nathalie took the phone with her left hand, found it had a password, and looked at him with bright eyes: ”What’s your phone password?”

”20210905.”

The string of numbers flowed smoothly from his mouth.

Nathalie entered the numbers as he said, halfway through realizing their significance, and suddenly looked up at him.

Amadeus Yancey’s handsome face remained calm, meeting Nathalie’s gaze perfectly naturally, said: ”The day I became official, it was special, so of course I remember it.”

”...”

Faced with his frank gaze, Nathalie dropped her eyelashes instead, her dark lashes covered her eyes, becoming the one unsure of what to do.

But fortunately, she wasn’t overly sentimental, merely feeling her ears flush briefly with warmth.

After unlocking the phone password, her expression returned to a natural state.

She focused intently on opening a web browser on Amadeus’s phone, typing in a URL, and in no time, detailed information on the large truck driver was retrieved, along with his recent bank transactions...

She looked at the phone, her face under the brim of her hat showing obvious surprise, as if the findings were unexpected.

Nathalie held the phone, staring at the information displayed, and read aloud in a clear tone: ”At 3:15 a.m. three days ago, there was a 500,000 transfer into his account. The account was overseas, but I looked up the domestic holder’s information.”

Amadeus thought perhaps Caryn Zachmann was behind this or perhaps someone associated with her, but Nathalie’s findings showed the bank account wasn’t connected to Caryn Zachmann.

He took the phone from Nathalie’s hand, looked down at the name of the person who transferred the money, his eyes chilling slightly: ”Is it her?”

This person was unexpected, but if pressed for a motive to harm, it strangely made some sense!
