The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1354: Chapter 1354: What a Coincidence, Everyone’s Looking for Valencia Jett

Arrogant!

Absolutely, outrageously arrogant!

But in the principal’s office, whether it was Jackson Wafford or Shawn Norton, no one thought Nathalie Quinlan was bragging when she said she would ’take first place’; she had the confidence.

Leaving Tsinghua University.

Nathalie Quinlan was going to find Valencia Jett to get something.

She hailed a taxi on the roadside, and after getting in, she tersely told the driver, ”Driver, to Four Seasons Hotel.”

The taxi driver glanced at her through the rearview mirror, seeing she was quite young, dressed casually, not looking like someone heading to the Four Seasons Hotel. He couldn’t help but double-check with her, ”Four Seasons Hotel? You mean the downtown one... Four Seasons Hotel?”

”...”

Nathalie Quinlan lazily lifted her head; underneath the brim of her hat was a rather exquisite face. She furrowed her lashes, seemingly pondering if there were other Four Seasons Hotels in Beijing?

She thought for a long time without recalling any and nodded slightly, letting out a soft sound, her voice cold yet pleasant: ”Mm, the downtown Four Seasons Hotel.”

The taxi driver gave her a few more looks through the rearview mirror, truly unable to figure out what a student like Nathalie Quinlan was doing at such a high-class place as the Four Seasons Hotel.

However, he didn’t pry further, pressed the meter, and turned the steering wheel, the car slowly heading toward the Four Seasons Hotel.

All the way there.

Nathalie Quinlan was on her phone.

She kept her head down, first replying to a message from Candice Yancey, saying she’d be there on time at noon.

Then she replied to Alfred Garland, saying he didn’t need to come pick her up.

...

After replying to a few messages, Nathalie Quinlan’s eyes had already become less patient. Her fair fingers tapped at the phone screen, ignoring others’ messages, and pulled up Valencia Jett’s WhatsApp to send a message.

[QN: I’ll be there in ten minutes.]

After confirming the WhatsApp message had been sent successfully.

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t look at her phone anymore, reached into her bag for a pair of earphones, plugged them in, and closed her eyes to rest while in the taxi.

She had worked on the USB flash drive until three in the morning last night, got up at eight-thirty in the morning, all in all, only sleeping five hours.

From waking up until now, it felt like a string in her head was constantly taut, like a chainsaw cutting next to her ears, giving her a headache.

She closed her eyes, listening to music through her earphones, and the drilling headache seemed to ease significantly.

Meanwhile, outside the Four Seasons Hotel in Beijing.

A black Range Rover slowly stopped at the entrance, and the hotel’s valet quickly came over, bending respectfully to open the door for the guest.

Leonardy Zachmann was the first to step out; he was impeccably dressed today, his black suit perfectly pressed, the tie without a single crease. It was clear he had made an effort to tidy up. He didn’t head straight into the hotel after getting out but patiently waited for the person in the driver’s seat to alight.

Soon, Hendrik Zachmann took out the car keys, opened the car door, and got out.

He tossed the car keys to the waiter beside him and, with a tense expression, spoke to Leonardy Zachmann beside him, ”Dad, let’s go inside.”

Leonardy Zachmann pursed his lips and softly agreed.

The two of them entered the hotel lobby one after the other.

After they went in, Hendrik Zachmann made a phone call to Evron Barness, then turned to his father and said, ”Ms. Jett from the JC Group is staying on the 36th floor, room 3606.”

Leonardy Zachmann took a deep breath, straightened his back rigidly, and his complexion was dignified. Clearly, he was quite nervous and anxious inside, yet he maintained a composed facade without showing too much unease.

He nodded and said to Hendrik Zachmann, ”Let’s go, we’re going up.”
