The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1359: Chapter 1359: Attending Candice Yancey’s Birthday Banquet

Her bright eyes hesitated for a moment, pondering whether to chase after him. After thinking it over, she recalled the hideously ugly bracelet she’d seen, and dismissed her hesitation.

To be honest, the bracelet that the boss personally designed was just too ugly.

Ugly to the point of being outrageous!

Ugly in a refreshingly unique way!

Other than nailing the nouveau riche vibe with it, she couldn’t think of any reason why a girl would like it.

She thought even the roadside bracelets made of glass beads sold for five or ten bucks were more attractive than the one Khendy made.

Tsk, all she could say was, that’s straight male aesthetics for you!

Ridiculous.

Candice Yancey kept her birthday celebration particularly low-key this time.

But given her status, even if it was low-key, it still caught the attention of many.

Many families in Beijing were fighting for a chance to attend Candice’s Birthday Banquet, but unfortunately, she didn’t plan to make it a grand affair. She only invited the direct lineage of the Yancey Family and a few friends who had good relations with them.

She personally invited Stephanie Tanzil and Yonathan Wilmar.

Amadeus Yancey called Sadam Vinson, Brian Bonette, and their group.

Sadam Vinson brought Govert Griffin and a few friends he usually hung out with, and the rest were mostly people from the Yancey Family.

By eleven o’clock in the afternoon, cars started arriving at the Imperial Hotel one after another.

Amadeus Yancey was rarely seen at the door greeting guests.

However, being in a high position and a leading figure among the younger generation, even some elders from the Yancey Family’s side branches showed utmost respect towards him, without daring to put on any airs.

Alfred Garland was responsible for arranging and receiving the guests.

He led the guests who came to the Birthday Banquet inside one by one, busily on his feet until he finally found a moment to catch his breath. He checked the time on his watch, and somewhat worried, said to the man at the door: ”Amadeus, why hasn’t Ms. Quinlan arrived yet?”

Genuinely concerned for Nathalie Quinlan, he continued, ”Should I give Ms. Quinlan a call to ask?”

Amadeus Yancey was wearing a white shirt today. The shirt hugged his shoulders and waist perfectly, with not a crease in sight, accentuating his tall and handsome demeanor. Standing there, he was a striking figure.

He was already waiting at the door for Nathalie Quinlan when he heard the suggestion and lifted his eyes. Taking out his phone, he said in a slightly hoarse voice, ”I’ll ask her where she is.”

Alfred Garland nodded.

He saw Mr. Norton had already arrived.

While accommodating Mr. Norton and arranging his seating, he specifically asked about Ms. Quinlan, and Mr. Norton mentioned that she had left school earlier for some reason.

He wasn’t worried about anything else, just that Nathalie might forget about lunch.

The young lady had repeatedly reminded Amadeus to make sure Ms. Quinlan was invited. If she didn’t come, the young lady might be disappointed.

But Ms. Quinlan had agreed to come this morning.

Lost in thought, Alfred Garland looked up to see Amadeus had reached Ms. Quinlan on the phone, his eyes showing a mix of gentle splinters, and he was softly speaking with the person on the other end: ”Where are you now? Do you want me to pick you up?”

With heightened concern, Alfred looked at him, anxiously asking, ”Amadeus, let me go pick up Ms. Quinlan.”

Amadeus Yancey lifted his gaze to glance at him, with a nonchalant expression, continuing his conversation: ”I’m greeting guests at the door. Let me know when you arrive so I don’t miss you.”

Who knows what Nathalie said on the other end, but he ended the call, put down his phone, and casually said, ”She’s on her way, she’ll be here in ten minutes. Keep an eye out, there are many people today, don’t miss her.”

”Got it, Amadeus.” Relieved to hear that Nathalie wasn’t missing lunch, Alfred relaxed a bit.

He nodded vigorously, already turning his attention towards the main entrance, keeping an eye on the stream of arriving guests.

Just then, Candice’s assistant came running out to find Amadeus. Amadeus patted Alfred on the shoulder, asking him to keep watch and then followed the assistant inside.
