The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1370: Chapter 1370: I Didn’t Expect It to Be Her Either

”I didn’t expect it to be her either.” Nathalie Quinlan’s reaction was similar to his, slightly lowering her eyes, her fierce gaze restrained, her voice hoarse: ”So... what can I say?”

She smiled wanly, her red lips curled up in a rather mischievous smile, her black eyes beautiful yet cold: ”Quite daring to court death!”

Amadeus Yancey saw that her emotions had calmed down from before, seemingly returning to her usual self. He reached out, tucking the hair at her temple behind her ear, lowered his head, his handsome eyes laced with gentleness: ”Let’s go, I’ll take you to find a doctor to stitch up your wound.”

He gently brushed his hand over the injury on the girl’s right arm, his tall, slender figure standing upright, the black pants wrapping around his long legs, outlining his sexy, perfect lines. A flash of intense pain passed through Amadeus Yancey’s eyes as he looked up at her, asking softly: ”Does it hurt?”

When Nathalie Quinlan heard him mention the injury on her arm, she turned her head for a look. Her right wrist was fractured, the whole arm was numb, she definitely couldn’t lift her arm, but did it hurt...

Nathalie Quinlan thought about it, then said indifferently: ”Alright, not too painful.”

Amadeus Yancey’s thin lips pressed into a straight line, he didn’t speak, yet the bloodthirsty anger couldn’t be suppressed in his deep eyes.

Nathalie Quinlan’s right hand would take at least ten days to half a month to recover, not to mention the deep wound on her arm, which would most likely leave a scar in the future.

All girls care about their appearance.

He knew Nathalie might not mind things related to appearance.

But he cared.

He cared that someone hurt her.

Amadeus Yancey didn’t transfer his negative emotions to Nathalie. He closed his eyes briefly, pressing down the fierce look in his eyes, instantly returning to his usual noble and elegant demeanor, carefully supporting the uninjured side of the girl, saying: ”Let’s go, we should head over. I’ve informed Mr. Avalon, he should be arriving soon, when he comes, he can give you a thorough check-up.”

”You called my teacher over?” Nathalie was a bit surprised.

Amadeus Yancey didn’t think he was making a big deal out of it, nodded naturally: ”Mhm, with Mr. Avalon overseeing, I feel more at ease.”

Nathalie: ”...”

Could she say she felt it wasn’t necessary?

Someone seemed to see through what she was thinking, raised his hand again, very patiently helped smooth out her clothes a bit wrinkled from the car accident, then raised his hand, gently rubbing the top of her head, like coaxing a child, softly said: ”Be good. Let Mr. Avalon take a look at you, that way you can be reassured, and so can I.”

”Actually I...”

Nathalie was intending to say ’Actually I’m pretty reassured’, but seeing the serious expression on his face, the words got stuck in her throat, and inexplicably, she just followed his steps, obediently listening to him.

”Nathalie, are you alright?”

As soon as Nathalie stepped out, Sadam Vinson immediately stood up at the door, stubbed out his cigarette, quickly walked over, his expression openly worried.

”I heard from Amadeus that you had a car accident, I rushed over, you...”

Sadam Vinson noticed her unnaturally hanging right hand, his face dramatically changed, almost flying into a rage: ”Nathalie, your hand...”

He paused, his fair face flushed deep red, he punched the wall, his eyes turning red: ”Damn it, who did this!”

Brian Bonette pulled him back, reminded him: ”Nathalie is still in school, watch your language.”

”I...” Sadam Vinson was about to curse again, but when he raised his eyes to the girl’s delicate and vibrant face, he instantly swallowed his words.

He held back a bellyful of curses, but didn’t restrain his angry mood, kicking a nearby trash bin, too angry to speak.
