The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1363: Chapter 1363: Ms. Quinlan’s Unreachable Phone Call

His expression was indifferent, as though he had little interest in chatting with Candice Yancey and the others. Amadeus Yancey occasionally raised his eyes, looking towards the entrance, as if waiting for someone.

He saw Alfred Garland rushing in.

Amadeus Yancey narrowed his eyes slightly and said to Candice Yancey, who was still chatting warmly with others, ”Aunt, take your time. I have something to attend to, I’ll step away for a moment.”

Candice Yancey stopped talking with Stephanie Tanzil and the others, and hurriedly asked him, ”Is Nathalie not here yet?”

”Mmm.” Amadeus Yancey also felt that it had been quite a while, far exceeding the ten minutes Nathalie Quinlan had mentioned before. He was always calm, with emotions not showing on his face, and even if he was worried inside, nothing unusual could be seen from his appearance: ”I’ll go out and take a look.”

Candice Yancey didn’t notice anything unusual, assuming that Nathalie was delayed due to traffic and hadn’t arrived yet.

Without thinking too much, she instructed reassuringly, ”Let me know when Nathalie arrives, I’ll come out to meet her.”

”Alright.”

The young man agreed readily, speaking succinctly, lifting his eyelids, his deep gaze glanced at Candice Yancey, nodded at Stephanie Tanzil and the others, and said with utmost politeness, ”Then Aunt, Mrs. Tanzil, you continue your talk.”

Stephanie Tanzil, who was named, nodded, watching him walk away, couldn’t help but sigh for her foolish nephew, silently lighting three incense sticks.

Ah, look at his demeanor and elegance.

Her son, Zeus Tanzil, even if he tried for ten years, might not be able to match up; encountering such a rival in love, he has no chance to turn things around!

Truly pitiful!

And indeed unlucky.

She could only say that Zeus’ taste was too good; falling in love at first sight with anyone else wouldn’t have been bad, but falling for Nathalie Quinlan at first sight destined him for a tragedy.

...

”Amadeus.”

On the other side, Alfred Garland had already walked up to Amadeus Yancey, clearly uneasy, calling out to him.

A bad premonition faintly rose in Amadeus Yancey’s heart, but he remained calm, asking in a deep voice, ”What’s going on? She hasn’t arrived yet?”

”No.” Alfred Garland shook his head, with a wooden expression, not appearing very clever. He looked up again, somewhat anxiously telling him, ”Master Amadeus, I waited outside for Ms. Quinlan as you instructed, but couldn’t wait any longer and called her. Nathalie didn’t pick up.”

”...Do you think something might have happened to Ms. Quinlan?”

Alfred Garland really didn’t want to say it, yet he was genuinely worried about Nathalie Quinlan: ”I called her three times, and Ms. Quinlan didn’t answer any of them.”

Nathalie Quinlan isn’t someone who doesn’t answer calls.

At this moment, Amadeus Yancey’s eyes darkened slightly. He took out his phone, began making inquiries, and didn’t forget to ask Alfred, ”Are you sure you called three times and she didn’t pick up?”

Alfred Garland shook his head, his face serious, and said with certainty, ”Not a single answer.”

Just then, Sadam Vinson and Govert Griffin hadn’t arrived yet.

Amadeus Yancey made a phone call to Sadam Vinson, which connected immediately.

”Hello, Amadeus, we’re almost there!” Sadam Vinson’s voice was loud.

Amadeus Yancey’s eyes were half-lowered, masking any emotion within them. The white shirt he wore was immaculately pressed, with not a single crease at the collar, exuding outstanding charisma like a noble orchid. His voice slightly deepened as he said, ”Check Nathalie Quinlan’s phone location, and be quick.”

”Uh, why check Nathalie’s phone?” Sadam Vinson was still babbling on the other end.

Amadeus Yancey had already hung up the phone, pulled up his phone book, and called someone from the traffic department: ”Could you help me find someone?”

...

In Beijing, for Amadeus Yancey to find someone was a matter of just a few words.

The car accident at the intersection not far from the Imperial Hotel made quite a stir, with the large truck having the oddest driving trajectory.

He hadn’t waited for a few minutes before he received a call back from the other party.
