Chapter 756: Chapter 226: Dramatic Change in the Situation

The behavior of the Government Army continuing to slander the Rebel Army despite the facts left Song Pu completely baffled.

”Why proceed with this when they know it’s futile? Once we release today’s footage, public opinion throughout the Star Realm will completely shift in our favor. What are they thinking?”

Chen Ming also couldn’t comprehend this maneuver, asking, ”Is this really not deliberate? Or is it something orchestrated by the Government Army’s NPCs?”

Although Song Pu hoped it was the case, since it would gain them more advantage,

he had enough understanding of his opponents and enough rationality to deny Chen Ming’s idea, saying, ”The other side surely wouldn’t be so incapable of controlling their own people. This definitely is something they came up with themselves.”

Chen Ming also knew this point, but the issue remained.

”Even if this is part of their plan, it’s too absurd. Could it really be someone on their side who made a mistake?”

Song Pu shook his head slightly and said, ”It shouldn’t be a mistake because it’s too deliberate.”

”They just failed in this battle. The remaining fleet might not even have reached home before releasing this message. This must have been pre-arranged.”

”So what exactly is going on? What are they thinking?”

The emergence of these two questions began to dissipate the joy among the few in the communication channel from having just won a battle.

This incomprehensible behavior on the other side really made one suspect some special arrangement was in play.

But specifically what kind of arrangement, no one could imagine.

”As expected, we need to observe a bit more.”

This time, Song Pu didn’t refute Chen Ming, saying, ”I share the same sentiment.”

”The other side isn’t foolish. Their actions must have a purpose, and we can’t relax just because we won this round. We need to do more to consolidate and expand our advantage.”

Chen Ming was quite interested in what Song Pu would do in these overall aspects, asking, ”What specifically should we do?”

Song Pu didn’t hold back, directly saying, ”First, we must continue to fight for public opinion, not stop, and quickly allow our Rebel Army to completely occupy the moral high ground.”

”At the same time, start the propaganda to make it harder for the Government Army to obtain resources at the grassroots level, creating a gap from the foundation.”

”Warfare is about the foundation. Whoever has a solid foundation is likely to win in the end.”

”Then with everything else, just manage ourselves. As long as our goals and execution methods are fine, victory is within reach.”

”However, I feel we need to arrange a new plan now, keep up with the times.”

Chen Ming inquired, ”Isn’t the original plan sufficient?”

”The original plan is a bit outdated,” Song Pu said. ”Because the last battle was too smooth for us.”

”Although this is likely a deliberate layout by the other side, objectively speaking, their fleet strength has indeed weakened significantly after this battle, which won’t change.”

”And our original plan was made for when we were at a disadvantage, even after you expanded the industrial equipment, we were still at a disadvantage.”

”Of course, I’m not blaming you. What I mean is that I initially formulated the plan based on that standard.”

Song Pu continued with his original thoughts, ”Our industrial foundation was severely lacking compared to the Government Army, so we had to find opportunities to occupy new Industrial Colonies. Perhaps, we even needed to take the initiative to launch a war while the Government Army was recuperating.”

”But now the situation is different. With your presence, the colonies we have can outmatch several Government Army colonies. The conditions are much better than before, so some plans used in disadvantaged situations naturally can’t be used.”

”Circumstances have changed, and the original plan must change accordingly. I’ve already revised part of it over the past few days, but the framework is still the initial one, requiring a complete overhaul.”

Chen Ming asked again, ”How do you intend to revise it? Proactively attack? Or remain unchanged?”

”I think we need to discuss it.” Song Pu had just finished his words when Cheng Xinghe suddenly said with some excitement, ”I feel we can take advantage of the victory, not giving the Government Army a chance to breathe.”

It was clear that Chen Ming had aided him a bit too much.

However, no one else backed Cheng Xinghe, and Song Pu also immediately shared his view, ”I believe we should first apply pressure with a questioning attitude to the Government Army, but not actively initiate another war. Instead, gain more advantages from other aspects.”

”The Government Army is already in a position where they have lost most of the people’s hearts and support from various factions.”

”This time, their initiating war means they aren’t even considering the public or any of the civil forces.”

”Already losing popular support, after this incident, they’ll receive even less backing from behind.”

”We’ve proven the capabilities of the Rebel Army. If we continue to secretly fan the flames, the Government Army might even collapse without a fight.”

Hong Guanghong also shared his thoughts after Song Pu, ”I also think we shouldn’t directly launch an attack on the Government Army. Compared to attacking, I believe development is more important.”

”Even if we give them time to breathe, so what? Can their breathing surpass ours?”

”As long as we progress at a normal pace, with the Psychics present, the expansion of industrial facilities and production queues will surely be faster and more efficient than theirs.”
