Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 797: Chapter 236: Attempts of the Special Operations Unit_3

In short, on the planet where the Aurora Wind Spirit resides, adult Aurora Wind Spirits living in the atmosphere have no natural enemies at all.

Even when entering the reproductive period, when they return to the ground, no creatures dare to approach them with plasma around their bodies.

Only during the egg and larva stages do native creatures have a chance to kill the Aurora Wind Spirit.

But the adult form is truly an existence that no creature can threaten.

Without natural enemies, there is naturally no need to evolve more combat capabilities.

The active combat ability and adaptability to dangerous environments of the Aurora Wind Spirit are not strong, which means that Chen Ming cannot simply have the Insect Queen create a bug solely with the Aurora Wind Spirit gene for battle.

Even covering it with a layer of Aurora Wind Spirit scales or a protective membrane is not feasible; the fragile scales can easily shatter on the battlefield, and once the scales are damaged, the bug could even be burned to death by its own plasma.

Moreover, Chen Ming has other requirements for the manufacturing of this special combat unit of the Insect Race.

That is, this bug must rely on the most basic physical body, without any external influences, to directly withstand the damage caused by plasma.

For Chen Ming’s Insect Race relies not only on physical existence, but they can also rely on the Spiritual Energy of the Insect Queen.

The Spiritual Energy of the Insect Queen purely enhances physical qualities and body strength.

During the time from becoming a spiritual creature to the present, the Spiritual Energy of the Insect Queen has significantly progressed.

With the Insect Queen using its Spiritual Energy, its body can even physically withstand the damage caused by plasma.

Even when Chen Ming uses the Insect Queen’s Spiritual Energy, in the face of some ordinary blades and small-caliber bullets, he can rely purely on the strength of human tissue and the Spiritual Energy augmentation of the Insect Queen to ensure complete injury-free status.

Even when facing some large-caliber weapons, at most, he would only receive superficial injuries, let alone the weapons equivalent to spaceship level.

Therefore, this is the current strength of the Spiritual Energy of the Insect Queen.

Although it’s not long since the Insect Queen became a spiritual creature, the speed of enhancement of the Insect Queen’s Spiritual Energy can’t be considered slow.

Even though it doesn’t have the amplification effects of those extra objects Chen Ming has, it still has the Hive Mind and the consciousness of a massive number of Insect Race units to provide feedback to the Insect Queen.

The Hive Mind of the Insect Race can supply Chen Ming with additional Spiritual Power, so, of course, it is also providing the main consciousness of the Insect Nest, the Insect Queen, with such benefits.

It was because of this reason that Chen Ming previously considered giving the Insect Queen some medicine to consume.

Although the medicine can’t be arranged now.

The inherent strength of the Insect Queen would not decrease, and Chen Ming is not without other means to strengthen the Insect Queen.

For Chen Ming now, even dividing a Gathering Spiritual Energy Origin isn’t a big deal, as one Gathering Spiritual Energy Origin and two Gathering Spiritual Energy Origins are of the same nature, providing the same intensity of Spiritual Energy Fluctuation to the environment.

Two times fifty degrees of water can’t make a hundred degrees of water.

So, by giving the Insect Queen one Gathering Spiritual Energy Origin, allowing it to absorb the high-concentration Spiritual Energy Fluctuation dispersed by the Gathering Spiritual Energy Origin, it can certainly enhance faster.

Aiming for the day when Chen Ming can use the Insect Queen’s Spiritual Energy to physically withstand plasma.

In short, it is due to the presence of the Insect Queen’s Spiritual Energy that Chen Ming wants the Insect Race’s special combat units he creates to have the ability to physically withstand plasma.

The stronger the body, the more powerful it becomes when enhanced by the Insect Queen’s Spiritual Energy.

At the same time, it prevents the situation where one day the Spiritual Power of the Insect Queen is depleted, and the special combat units burn themselves to death.

But at present, no matter what the situation, wanting to withstand plasma with a pitch-black carapace is absolutely impossible.

Now, Chen Ming can only use two different genes to let the Insect Queen mix and create a new type of shell.

The difficulty of directly using genes to manufacture a related biological body and combining two different strands of genes to produce one that can normally express traits and also meet requirements are not on the same level of difficulty.

This will certainly be the area that will require Chen Ming the most time moving forward.

However, after Chen Ming assigned the task to the Insect Queen.

Chen Ming suddenly discovered a problem.

It appears that there are some special situations with the panel’s deep repair abilities that he hadn’t noticed before.

Chen Ming’s deep repair ability optimizes a whole to the extent that suits its inherent function the best.

Once deep-repaired, it can’t undergo deep repair again, as things that have been deep-repaired are already the most suitable existence.

However, at this moment, Chen Ming found that the Insect Queen could undergo deep repair again, indicating that the limitation of only being able to use his deep repair ability once isn’t absolute, and things that have undergone deep repair can be deep-repaired again.

And the premise for this is...

Chen Ming roughly studied it and understood.

As long as the entire thing that has been deep-repaired undergoes some changes.

For example, a refrigerator that Chen Ming deep-repairs turns into a well-functioning refrigerator.

Then he gains the ability to replace the refrigerator’s cooling equipment with heating equipment, turning the refrigerator into an oven.

In such a situation, deep repair can be performed again, turning the entire refrigerator into an oven.

Of course, it doesn’t need such an extreme change. As long as a part of the structure changes, Chen Ming can optimize the altered item again to a suitable extent.
