Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 278: Chapter 281: What a Huge Freak!

Chapter 281: Quite the Rarity

It was simply the influence of Huahua that tempered her attitude toward Lin Zifeng, making it less than optimistic. Plus, on her first day, she walked in on Lin Zifeng performing some sort of performance art at home. Anyone would have trouble changing their opinion of him, especially since no one would guess that he did it just because he forgot his clothes after a shower and wanted to cool off.

”Call it whatever you like.” Ever since Lin Zifeng returned to China and witnessed Huahua’s loli logic, his capability to accept has completely caught up.

He knew full well that little girls nowadays were nothing like those from his generation. An endless stream of extraordinary rarities with all sorts of thoughts could pop up at any moment, and they could switch topics incredibly fast—just like how those two were acting earlier in the hall, and now they were acting as though nothing had happened.

It was enough to reveal the psychology of these post-90s petite bourgeoisie.

”Oppa, what’s this amazing thing in your celadon bowl? Can you give me a hint so I can guess?”

”There’s nothing to guess.” As Lin Zifeng casually went to lift the bowl’s lid, Liu Tangtang quickly snatched the celadon bowl with a silly, heehee, laughter.

”Oppa, don’t rush it. Just let me make a guess.”

Liu Tangtang cooed.

Guess? What’s there to guess? It’s just an ordinary bowl of egg fried rice, that’s all.

Lin Zifeng really wanted to say so, to prevent her from getting carried away, otherwise, it would start out fantastical but end up painfully awkward. However, Tangtang was adamant about guessing what sumptuous dish was inside that celadon bowl.

In the end, Lin Zifeng couldn’t argue any longer, so he just let her guess.

”It has to be ’Buddha Jumps Over the Wall,’ right?!”

”Based on my lifelong love for ’Buddha Jumps Over the Wall,’ I can tell without tasting it, right?” The girl was probably too excited and insisted on claiming that an ordinary bowl of egg fried rice was ’Buddha Jumps Over the Wall.’

What an oddity!

It was absolutely a gloriously shining rarity.

Was it not just an ordinary bowl of egg fried rice? And that too, the kind with half-done eggs. Could it really taste like ’Buddha Jumps Over the Wall’?

”It’s not,” Lin Zifeng said honestly.

”Hmph, you’re lying. With my familiarity with ’Buddha Jumps Over the Wall,’ that bowl is definitely it!” Liu Tangtang still seemed determined, as if ’Buddha Jumps Over the Wall’ was the only dish she knew since childhood. Was she raised on ’Buddha Jumps Over the Wall’?

”It really isn’t ’Buddha Jumps Over the Wall.’ It’s actually just an ordinary bowl of egg...”

”Buddha Jumps Over the Wall with added egg, right?” Liu Tangtang stubbornly believed her assumption without change, thinking the bowl contained ’Buddha Jumps Over the Wall.’

Lin Zifeng was speechless, not finishing his sentence. He knew that unless he showed her the truth, she would not believe otherwise.

”Heehee, I knew I got it right,” Liu Tangtang giggled.

Who knew where her excitement came from? Was it really worth being so happy about?

Lin Zifeng didn’t answer her.

But when Liu Tangtang opened the celadon bowl with gleaming joy, the smile on her face instantly froze.

What she had fervently believed to be ’Buddha Jumps Over the Wall’ turned out to be a bowl of egg fried rice sprinkled with green onions!

What’s more, it was that undercooked sort of egg fried rice, with the egg whites and yolks not fully stirred together, simply laid on top, making it look quite unsightly.

The reason Lin Zifeng made this kind of egg fried rice was that he wanted to cook the egg whites and yolks by steaming them with the heat principle of the celadon bowl. But who knew Liu Tangtang would stubbornly and blissfully insist on making her guess.

”Egg, egg fried rice!?” In an instant, Liu Tangtang’s face turned as pale as a sheet of paper.

The excitement that had just filled her little face suddenly vanished without a trace.

When her gaze shifted back to the lecherous uncle, she saw Lin Zifeng looking completely unfazed, not a hint of embarrassment on his face, which really made Liu Tangtang so angry she nearly lost her guts.

This guy calmly took the celadon bowl and said with a serious face, ”Stop messing around.”

”Stop messing around,” Lin Zifeng added.

What, what am I messing around for?

Liu Tangtang felt so infuriated she was about to explode. She had always been versatile and fickle, but today she had run into this piece of work. Could she not be angry? So, Missy was just playing guessing games with you, and you treated me like a monkey to be played with?

”You, you...!”

Even if a little girl had the best temper, she probably couldn’t stand Lin Zifeng playing her like this.

”Stop messing around.”

Lin Zifeng said, expressionless.

”What, what am I messing around for? So, I just guessed with you for so long, and you were just toying with me?” Liu Tangtang finally exploded, hands on hips, her chest heaving up and down.

After guessing for such a long time, this uncle was actually joking with her? So he truly took her for a fool, huh.

”Ahem, I say, pretty girl, you can’t just say that, you know. Just now, I was about to remind you, but you kept insisting it was Buddha Jumps Wall. What could I do? And considering I couldn’t even stop you, don’t wrong a good person here. I kindly made you food; you can’t treat people like that.”

Lin Zifeng said earnestly.

Looking at the egg fried rice in the large celadon bowl, it actually looked quite appetizing, didn’t it? Was it that unsatisfactory?

”You...!”

Liu Tangtang was completely speechless. So after all her showing off, she just got a cold splash of water thrown on her efforts. Was this how he always treated beauties?

”This is what you’re giving me to eat?”

Liu Tangtang was speechless too, and no matter how resolute she was, today she finally met her match.

”Is there something wrong with this?” Lin Zifeng asked.

”Is this even fit for human consumption? It doesn’t look appetizing at all,” Liu Tangtang said with her hands on her hips, a bit angry.

”Sorry, I can only make egg fried rice,” Lin Zifeng said discontentedly as he took out a cigarette. ”Being able to make egg fried rice taste like Buddha Jumps Wall isn’t that bad, right?”

”Are you saying there’s something wrong with my sense of smell?”

”I didn’t say that. You were the one contradicting me just now. Plus, you insisted on it being Buddha Jumps Wall, and you wouldn’t listen to anything I said. Whose fault could that be?” Lin Zifeng didn’t want to bother with her. He thought, it’s the first time I cook for a woman and she’s picky? Who does she think she is? Is it common for children from rich families to be so disrespectful to others?

From the moment Lin Zifeng first laid eyes on this girl, he didn’t have a good impression of her. If she weren’t holding something over him, he wouldn’t bother chatting with such an immature kid for so long.

”I won’t eat egg fried rice. You go make something else for me, or I’ll tell Lord Huahua about what happened this morning. Humph!” Liu Tangtang started to use Lin Zifeng’s vulnerability as leverage again.

”Sorry, my cooking skills aren’t that cheap. Take it or leave it,” Lin Zifeng said and then put the egg fried rice back into the celadon bowl and strode towards the outside.

A woman can be indulged, but never spoiled.

Lin Zifeng didn’t care about her princess temperament. Everyone is equal, and one shouldn’t look down on others just because of differences in family conditions.

So what if you’re a beauty? If I don’t care for you, you’re just a decoration all the same.
