Chapter 269: Chapter 272: The Old Buddha Has Quite a Temper

Chapter 272: The old man’s temper is too impulsive, isn’t it?

Watching Nangong Bing’s panicked and flustered expression, Lin Zifeng began to feel somewhat unnatural himself, always sensing a chill down below. The towel around his waist was pinned under his buttocks by Nangong Bing, and he was only wearing boxer shorts from waist down. Besides, his ”national flag” still hadn’t completely settled down after the emotional moment before.

At such close range, it was no wonder Lin Zifeng was feeling annoyed, since he definitely didn’t have a nudity fetish.

”Uh, that, can you stand up? I just want to get my towel back.”

Lin Zifeng forced an extremely strained smile, fully aware that he couldn’t really smile anymore, but he still tried hard to squeeze out a bitter smile from his face.

At his pointing, Nangong Bing suddenly stood up like a startled rabbit, tidied up her clothes leisurely, then ran back to her room without looking back.

Poor Lin Zifeng, stuck sitting on the ground with his briefs, didn’t get up until Nangong Bing’s frail silhouette had disappeared.

After wrapping the towel around him and looking at Nangong Bing’s unlit room, he started to feel guilty. If it weren’t for Huahua intervening at the last minute, who knows what might have happened?

If he really had gone through with pushing Nangong Bing down, the consequences would be unimaginable...

Out of concern, considering Nangong Bing’s current mood, Lin Zifeng quietly approached her room. He didn’t knock or call out, but peeked through the crack to see what she was doing now.

He really needed to be wary in case the old man did something rash in his anger.

”Hooligan! Hooligan! Ah...!”

Nangong Bing screamed wildly in her room, and after plunging headfirst into her water bed, she wished she could burst out and kill Lin Zifeng. She still hadn’t calmed down, especially with that scene involuntarily flashing in her mind. Thinking about it, Nangong Bing’s fair face turned even redder, wishing she could just die on the spot. It was the first time she had ever done something so humiliating, and what’s more, she had seemed so accommodating? My God, had Nangong Bing truly become so depraved? Wuu, why am I so pitiful.

Watching Nangong Bing in the room, devoid of her usual refined and chilly image, screaming wildly, Lin Zifeng felt a chill in his heart, realizing he really might have gone too far.

Well, life won’t be easy from now on.

Imagining the days to come, Lin Zifeng felt a chilling fear. Who knows how Nangong Bing would retaliate against him in the future?

Peeking through the crack, after watching Nangong Bing vent in the room and then rush to the counter with an unkind expression to pick up a shiny fruit knife, her eyes fiercely glaring at the door, Lin Zifeng felt an eerie sensation all over his body, his face turning cold as he watched her angry, burning eyes.

...

In an instant, Lin Zifeng broke out in a cold sweat, shocked. No way, just for touching her there, was it necessary to come at him with a knife? Considering Nangong Bing was still a distinguished graduate of Stanford, had all those years of study been for nothing? Was pulling out a knife an automatic reaction for her whenever she got a little angry? Maybe she used to hang out at street gangs, judging by her fiery temper...

Oh my goodness! We’re not mortal enemies, nor sworn enemies who killed each other’s fathers. Does it have to be this harsh? We could have talked it over slowly. Why grab a knife? Lin Zifeng felt hollow, cold sweat breaking out all over his body, the muscles near his mouth beginning to twitch.

Hurriedly, he dashed into his room, even abandoning the plan to shower later that night, knowing all too well that once he went to take a bath and returned to his room, she might just pop up wielding a kitchen knife.

It was already a hot day today, the weather in October was so humid it made everyone sweat; having just been teased, his body was already greasy. But to save his own life and for his little brother’s lifelong happiness, Lin Zifeng obediently returned to his room and locked the door to prevent Nangong Bing from having conflicted thoughts and actually doing something shocking.

That night, Lin Zifeng slept soundly, directly collapsing on the bed and falling asleep in less than fifteen minutes—perhaps because he was really exhausted today; having to resist the old emperor at home had made his day incredibly tiring.

Lin Zifeng slept soundly and soundly, but Queen Nangong Bing was up all night, sitting in front of the window, sipping on a cup of fragrant, rich wine, her mood, however, was very low. How could a business queen like her, with all the status and identity, forget all this in such a short time?

Especially when considering her personal circumstances, Nangong Bing regretted her actions even more, her gaze softening as she looked at the majestic man on her computer wallpaper, whom she had cherished.

The man on the desktop had a stern, extraordinary face, his body exuding an aura of mature charm. Despite his face being covered with a cyan bronze mask, making it impossible to discern his true features, Nangong Bing still had millions of expectations for this man...

...

When the sun started rising the next day, nearly shining on his butt, Lin Zifeng lazily and leisurely got up from his sleep.

Gazing at the glaring sunlight outside the window, Lin Zifeng, groggy, rubbed his eyes, got out of bed, stretched lazily, and performed a couple of movements of Killing Skill in his cramped room, his indispensable morning fitness routine, which also served to slightly loosen his muscles.

After tidying up his clothes, Lin Zifeng didn’t dare to leave his room until nearly 10 a.m. That’s when he finally opened his door.

Peeking around, Nangong Bing should have gone to work by then, right?

Seeing no one at home, his hanging heart finally settled down.

After last night’s event, Lin Zifeng was truly frightened of the expression his old tyrant might have if she saw him.

So he simply slept till ten o’clock, just to wait for her to go to work before he got up, trying as much as possible not to meet her, hoping that with time, she would be able to let things go.

On such a hot day, the temperature outside had reached over thirty degrees, and since he hadn’t bathed all night, his body still smelled greasy.

Seeing no one at home, he guessed that Huahua probably went to the company too.

He decided to take a bath first and then go to work at the company afterward, since his role at Tianyu Group was nothing more than a nominal position.

Whether he went or not, it didn’t really matter to them.

Moreover, going there was pointless, as he would just idle around all day, only going through the motions. He might as well stay at home and get some solid sleep.
