After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 747: Chapter 751: Getting the Certificate [5]

Hearing the words ”my wife,” Luo Xiaoqian’s emotions, which she had been striving to control, finally collapsed, and her tears once again slipped from her eyes and fell into the bowl of porridge.

”Xiao Qian?!” Leng Zimo was startled, stood up, and walked to her side, ”What’s wrong?”

”Zimo!” Luo Xiaoqian suddenly stretched out both arms and wrapped them around his waist, ”I don’t want to leave you!”

Leng Zimo embraced her body, soothingly stroking her hair, ”Silly girl, we’re married now, how could I leave you? Rest assured, we’ll always be together, we’re legally protected as husband and wife now, no one can separate us...”

Luo Xiaoqian was too distressed to speak and just held onto him, allowing her tears to flow.

Crouching down, he cradled her face and gently kissed her cheeks.

”I know, working while you’re pregnant must be a lot of pressure. I’ve been thinking, and the day after tomorrow, we’ll hold a press conference. I’ll announce to the outside world that you will take a break from the music scene for a year. During this time, you should rest well. After a year, whether you want to continue singing or work behind the scenes, I will support you, okay?”

”Zimo,” Luo Xiaoqian looked at him tearfully, ”why are you so good to me?”

”Idiot, you’re my wife, the mother of my future son; if I don’t treat you well, who will I treat well?” Leng Zimo said with an indulgent smile, then suddenly became mysterious as he helped her up, ”Come on, I’m taking you to a place.”

”Where?” Luo Xiaoqian asked.

Taking her handbag, Leng Zimo winked at her, ”You’ll know when we get there.”

The two went downstairs again, got into the car, and Leng Zimo said to Xiao Ding, ”Drive to the place I sent things to yesteday.”

”What place is it in the end?” Luo Xiaoqian asked softly.

Leng Zimo turned his face to her, smiling, ”I’ve prepared a surprise for you with great effort. Just play along, okay? Don’t ask, can you?”

As he spoke, he took out a handkerchief from his pocket and covered her eyes with it.

Luo Xiaoqian cooperatively let him do as he wished, her palms, however, tightly gripped his hands.

The car drove through the northern suburbs and continued northward, turning into a shaded lane before stopping. Leng Zimo opened the car door and directly lifted Luo Xiaoqian out. Unable to see anything with her eyes covered, she just felt him carrying her for quite a while.

After a good while, she was put back down, her feet touching the ground.

”I’ll count to three, then you can open your eyes!” Standing behind her, Leng Zimo carefully untied the handkerchief blocking her vision, ”One, two, three!”

Upon hearing him count to three, Luo Xiaoqian slowly opened her eyes.

Filling her view was a lush green, a flat grassland lay before her, with mountains in the distance, forests on the mountains, and the forest tops against the clear blue sky.

”I’m here!” Leng Zimo’s voice came from behind her, Luo Xiaoqian turned around and saw a three-story house built into the hillside behind her, they stood on the steps with him smiling behind her, his smile brimming with love and indulgence, ”Welcome to Princess Qianqian’s little farmstead!”

Behind him was a somber hillside where one could vaguely see a pavilion, with a stream flowing down from the mountain and around the building, everything preserved in its natural state.

Beyond the stone bridge over the creek was a small garden, bordering the water on one side was an entire wall of lush flower branches. Even though they weren’t in bloom, Luo Xiaoqian recognized them at a glance—they were roses.

Leng Zimo embraced her waist from behind, ”I have thought it over, we can go on vacation to France occasionally, Dad has gotten old, and elderly people prefer their own place. Here, you can stay whenever you want, we can raise a couple of dogs, or, if you like horses as Ruoruo does, we can also have horses. I’ve already bought the grassland you see, it’s big enough for horse riding, we can go skiing when it snows, and we can even hunt in the mountains. When the time comes, our family of five will go together...”
