After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 720: Chapter 724 How is Xu Pei’s situation

At the side, Shen Yizhou and Tong Ya were both fully tensed up.

Lin Zhi watched over Xu Pei’s eyes with a smile and calmly said two words, ”Of course.”

”Really?” Joy overflowed in Xu Pei’s eyes.

”Of course, it’s real, but, there’s a condition, you must listen to my words,” Lin Zhi reached out to the nurse, who quickly handed over the prepared sterile mask. Lin Zhi carefully placed the mask over Xu Pei’s face, ”Remember, you absolutely cannot take off this mask without my permission, otherwise if the wound gets infected and the recovery is affected, it will impact the regeneration of your skin.”

”Rest assured, I will definitely listen to your words,” Xu Pei was extremely obedient.

”Alright, now, you should rest for a bit,” Lin Zhi turned around, picked up the folder on the table, and left the ward.

Shen Yizhou and Tong Ya stayed with Xu Pei for a while longer, then also left the ward and hurried to Lin Zhi’s office. Upon seeing them, Lin Zhi immediately raised her hand to signal the two of them to sit, and she brought over a glass of water for each and placed them on the table.

”Lin Zhi, from your experience, how is Xu Pei’s condition?”

”Since the treatment was timely, overall, the recovery is quite good. What’s left is mainly postoperative treatments like skin grafting and plastic surgery,” Lin Zhi said.

Tong Ya hesitated several times, but finally couldn’t help but ask, ”Dr. Lin, forgive my impudence, but can Xu Pei’s face... really recover?”

”Nowadays, with medical science being so advanced, of course she can recover. However, it requires her own cooperation, because such a large area of burns cannot be healed all at once. The skin grafting and a series of repair surgeries must be carried out in batches and stages. Right now, what I’m worried about is her mood,” Lin Zhi shrugged her shoulders, ”We can’t possibly hide it from her forever. As far as I know, she has no family left, and all our surgeries have to be communicated with her and get her approval before they can be conducted. If we can’t achieve these, everything is only talk on paper!”

”That’s...” Tong Ya sighed deeply, ”Tough!”

”Perhaps, you could try to find her a psychologist,” Lin Zhi suggested.

”Alright then,” Shen Yizhou put down the cup in his hand, ”Prepare the specific surgical plan, and we’ll figure out a way to deal with Xu Pei’s psychological work.”

”Alright,” Lin Zhi nodded, ”Right now is the rapid growth phase of the new skin, you must hurry with this work. The sooner the surgery is carried out, the more beneficial it will be for her recovery.”

An assistant doctor came in, reminding Lin Zhi that the treatment meeting for Xu Pei was about to start. Shen Yizhou went to the meeting with her while Tong Ya left the office to visit Xu Pei in the ward.

Back in the ward, he saw Xu Pei standing by the window, staring out in a daze.

After thinking for a bit, Tong Ya walked over with a smile, ”It’s been a long time since you’ve been in the sun, how about going out for a walk?”

”I don’t want to go,” Xu Pei turned around, ”Can I borrow your phone?”

She had no relatives and now didn’t have many friends. The only one was Tang Ming, and the two of them would call or email almost every few days. Now that such a big incident had occurred and they hadn’t contacted for several days, she was worried Tang Ming would be anxious and wanted to inform him.

Xu Pei took the phone, ”Tong Ya, could you... step aside for a moment?”
