After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 726: Chapter 730 Engagement Banquet [2]

Luo Xiao Qian deliberately pouted, ”A fake bear wants to bluff its way through, where’s the promised baby bear?!”

Huangfu Ruo stretched out her hand and gently patted her slightly bulging belly, ”Isn’t it right here?”

”Oh, stop it!” Luo Xiao Qian gave her a glare, smiling as she accepted the huge polar bear stuffed animal, ”Thank you!”

”Let’s go inside!” Leng Zimo took the polar bear from her hands and everyone entered the banquet hall together.

Everyone took their seats separately, and Ailin approached Leng Zimo to inquire if all guests had arrived and if they could start serving dishes; Leng Zimo nodded indicating they could, and then he walked with Luo Xiao Qian toward the main stage.

”Good evening, everyone!”

As he began, all eyes turned towards the young couple standing side by side on the stage.

”I’m very grateful that everyone could come on time to attend Xiao Qian’s and my engagement party.” When he said this, Leng Zimo turned his face towards Luo Xiao Qian beside him, his eyes filled with tenderness, ”Meeting Xiao Qian is the luckiest thing in my life, and I hope that from now on, we can continue holding hands together. I wish everyone would bless us.”

”Kiss her!”

Leng Zirui was the first to tease.

Sitting next to Jiao Yang, Xu Xia immediately joined in the fun, ”Right, right, a kiss, give us a kiss!”

The guests all chuckled lightly, including Leng Lin and several other elders who were also smiling.

Leng Zimo lifted Xiao Qian’s chin with his hand; Luo Xiao Qian’s face flushed, but she didn’t shy away, only bashfully looking down her lashes.

Their lips slowly moved closer.

”Hold on a moment!” Leng Zirui had already stood up from his chair, calling out loud and clear, ”This kiss can’t just be any kiss; the depth of your love should be reflected in the duration of the kiss, don’t you all agree?”

”Yes!” A chorus of young people immediately laughed in agreement.

Leng Zimo gave him a sidelong glance, took a deep breath, and kissed Luo Xiao Qian’s lips.

Although he had already proposed to her before, tonight was the actual engagement party for the two of them, making this kiss especially meaningful. They held each other, naturally kissing one another. Their kiss wasn’t overly passionate, yet like a gentle eternal stream.

Under the lights, the two of them embraced and kissed as if in the most beautiful scene from a movie.

”So beautiful!” Tongtong sighed softly, her eyes full of envy.

Not too far away, Xu Xia raised a hand to wipe her eyes, ”Indeed, my Xiao Qian is a super great beauty.”

Jiao Yang sat in his chair, silent, smiling as he watched the couple kissing on stage. His expression hadn’t changed much from before, his devilishly attractive eyes slightly squinting, his long lashes casting faint shadows on his face.

After a while, Luo Xiao Qian and Leng Zimo on the stage slowly parted their lips, looked at each other, and simultaneously flashed a smile. Only then, hand in hand, did they turn to face the audience, bending down to bow and express their thanks.

At that moment, Leng Zirui and Xiao Liu helped Leng Lin to the stage for the parents’ speech.

And then, the banquet officially began.

Leng Zimo and Luo Xiao Qian went table to table making toasts, starting with Leng Lin’s table, which was full of elders.

This included the parents of Tong Ya and Shen Yizhou, as well as several of Leng Lin’s close friends, followed by some of Leng Zimo’s important business partners and friends, employees of Emperor View... Finally, the couple made their way to the table where several young people, including themselves, were seated.
