After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 725: Chapter 729 Engagement Banquet [1]

”Jiao Yang!” Luo Xiaoqian immediately stopped with a smile, ”Welcome, welcome!”

She had no relatives, and aside from Xu Xia, she hardly had any friends. Jiao Yang was one of her few friends, so naturally he was on the invitation list.

Though Xu Xia had never met Jiao Yang in person, she had heard plenty about him in the news. Of course, she recognized who he was, and stopped alongside Luo Xiaoqian, extending her right hand, ”President Jiao, hello, I am a friend of Luo Xiaoqian. You might not know me, my name is...”

Jiao Yang smiled as he reached out and shook her hand, ”EM’s rising star Xu Xia, how could I possibly not know you!”

Xu Xia smiled, ”I didn’t expect President Jiao would know me, I’m so honored.”

At that moment, Luo Xiaoqian’s gaze fell upon the girl beside Jiao Yang, ”Jiao Yang, aren’t you going to introduce her?”

The girl in question was in her early twenties, similar in stature to her, with a delicate face, dressed in a white suit, with her long hair flowing, pure and gentle.

”You don’t recognize her? The winner of Asia View’s New Star Award, Tongtong!” Xu Xia said with a laugh as she leaned in, ”Tongtong, long time no see. By the way, how come you’re here with President Jiao?”

Her tone was slightly teasing.

In fact, there had already been rumors about Tongtong and Asia View Asia Headquarters President Jiao Yang. Xu Xia had performed with Tongtong before and they had some friendship, which is why she made such a joke.

Luo Xiaoqian was busy with various matters and never liked to follow gossip, so it was no wonder she was unaware of this.

”Let me make a formal introduction!” Jiao Yang extended his arm, wrapping it around Tongtong’s waist, ”Luo Xiaoqian, my good friend, Tongtong, my girlfriend!”

”Miss Luo, hello.” Tongtong reached out her hand to Luo Xiaoqian with a smile, ”I really like your works.”

Luo Xiaoqian shook her hand with a smile, ”Don’t be so formal; we’re all friends here. Just call me Xiao Qian.”

”President Jiao, welcome, welcome!” Leng Zimo strode forward, saw Jiao Yang, and immediately came up to stand beside Luo Xiaoqian to greet him.

”Truly welcome?” Jiao Yang smiled with a slight grin, ”Aren’t you afraid I’ll steal your bride-to-be away?”

”Jiao Yang?” Tongtong, standing by, seemed to think the joke was a bit much and gently tugged his arm.

”Don’t be mad, I was only joking. Besides, even if I really wanted to, I couldn’t outdo him, could I?” Clasping Tongtong closer, Jiao Yang raised his hand to arrange her hair beside her ear, ”Alright, you guys are busy, we’ll go in and wait to eat.”

Feeling his affectionate gestures, Tongtong’s face blushed, clinging tighter to his arm, the picture of a woman leaning on her man.

”Zimo, Xiao Qian, congratulations, congratulations!”

At that moment, Tong Ya and Shen Yizhou were also walking up side by side.

”You guys chat; we’ll go on in,” said Jiao Yang, seeing more guests arrive, and proactively walked with Tongtong toward the inner hall.

Luo Xiaoqian then turned to Xu Xia to ask her to lead the two inside first.

Xu Xia was always quick to make friends and knew Tongtong as well, so she immediately led them inside.

Here, Tong Ya and Shen Yizhou had just come up, and Huangfu Ruo, Qin Lan, Leng Zirui, and Huangfu Ao had also arrived upstairs together. Everyone began handing out their gifts separately, with Huangfu Ruo passing a large parcel into Luo Xiaoqian’s hands.

”Well then, a promise is a promise, here’s your Polar Bear... doll!”
