After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 740: Chapter 744 You’re Just Showing Off Your Happiness

Apart from these, she still needed to take wedding photos. Originally, Leng Zimo didn’t want her to worry about the wedding planning, but she felt sorry for him being so busy and took the initiative to take on the task. As a result, several planners were revolving around her daily.

”Getting married is so exhausting!”

As a group, they went downstairs and, while driving to Xu Xiaoyang’s photography studio, Luo Xiaoqian continued to lament.

”You’re just showing off your happiness, aren’t you?!” Yu Tong said with a laugh.

Luo Xiaoqian shrugged her shoulders, ”Really, I thought getting married was pretty simple. It’s just having a meal with relatives and friends and celebrating a bit.”

”Actually, if you want to have such a simple wedding, you can, but I don’t think President Leng would agree. Such a significant event in life, he would definitely want to do his best to give you the greatest.”

”Yes,” Luo Xiaoqian crossed her arms, ”So, I completely comply with his arrangements.”

It was because she understood Leng Zimo’s thoughts that no matter what decision he made, she never opposed him. Even though all she wanted was the simplest wedding, she still indulged his extravagance.

”By the way, Xiao Qian, have you guys obtained your marriage certificate?”

”Marriage certificate? Not yet!”

”I guess President Leng must be too busy and forgot. When you have a chance, remind him. You’re pregnant now, and later on, you’ll need to register the baby’s household registration. It’s best for you to get the certificate first,” Yu Tong kindly reminded.

”I know,” Luo Xiaoqian replied with a smile.

Soon, they arrived at the scene of the TV program recording, and Luo Xiaoqian immediately went into the makeup room reserved by the production team to get her makeup done.

After the recording ended, it was already eight o’clock in the evening. Remembering Yu Tong’s reminder, Luo Xiaoqian asked Gao Jie to take her back to World City.

Lately, she had been living at the Leng Family home. Although she had moved her clothes there, most of her things were still in World City. She hadn’t used the household registration booklet for a long time and had to go back to find it.

Yu Tong and Gao Jie personally took her back to World City. Seeing that it was getting late, Luo Xiaoqian couldn’t be bothered to go back to the Leng Family. Besides, Zimo was away on business and hadn’t returned. She would be sleeping alone if she went back, so she simply made a phone call to inform Leng Lin she had something urgent and would stay in town for one night. Leng Lin instructed her to rest well and then hung up.

After Yu Tong and Gao Jie left World City, Luo Xiaoqian made sure the door was locked securely, changed into slippers, and entered the living room, where she noticed the photo frame on the TV cabinet containing a picture of her father and herself. She immediately went over to take it down.

The place hadn’t been cleaned in several days and a layer of dust had settled on the photo frame.

She wiped the dust off with her palm and, smiling, sat down on the sofa with the photo in her hands.

”Dad, in a few days, I will be marrying Zimo. By this time next year, you will also become a grandfather. You must be happy for your daughter, right?”

In the photo, Luo Chuchen’s smile was brilliant as the sunrise, gazing lovingly at his daughter sitting upon his knee.

”I won’t chat with you anymore, Dad. I’m going to look for the household registration booklet.”

She placed the photo on the coffee table and headed upstairs, walking straight into the practice room. She opened the box where she stored her things and soon found the household registration booklet in a bag.

Just as she was holding it and walking out, she faintly heard a phone ringing downstairs.

Luo Xiaoqian went downstairs to pick up the phone, ”Hello?”

Hearing her voice, Leng Zimo’s heart eased slightly, ”Why did you suddenly go back to World City?”

Concerned about cellphone radiation, he would call the home landline when he was away on business. After finding out she wasn’t there, he called World City.
