After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 731: Chapter 735: The Man Who Couldn’t Be Caught [4]

”Yizhou, how is his injury?” Leng Zimo asked.

”Second-degree burns. My recommendation is to observe him in the hospital for a few days,” Shen Yizhou spread his palms, ”He says he doesn’t have time.”

Jiao Yang laughed, ”Dr. Shen, it’s not that I’m disobedient, I really don’t have time...”

”I know you’re busy, but a burn is no small matter. If you don’t take care of it well at home and it gets infected, it could be very troublesome,” Luo Xiaoqian frowned at him, ”Yizhou told you to stay in the hospital for a reason. Work is important, but so is your health. If something goes wrong, it’ll affect your work even more later on!”

”Exactly!” Beside them, Leng Zirui grinned and winked at Jiao Yang, ”Let me tell you, the nurses in the inpatient department are quite beautiful!”

”Really?” Jiao Yang smiled flirtatiously, ”Dr. Shen, then can I stay a few more days?”

Shen Yizhou shrugged, ”You can try taking a bath in a frying pan, that’ll definitely get you a few extra days.”

The group burst into laughter, and Shen Yizhou instructed a resident doctor to help Jiao Yang with the hospital admission procedures and then led the others out of the treatment room and toward the wards.

They had just reached the door of the ward when they saw Tongtong come over with a downcast face, ”President Leng, Xiao Qian, I’m sorry!”

”How about that, didn’t I tell you?” Jiao Yang wagged his wristwatch at everyone, ”Ten thirteen!”

”Such grace!” Luo Xiaoqian gave him a look and walked up to support Tongtong’s arm, ”Tongtong is distressed about your injury and won’t lower herself to argue with a patient like you.”

The group entered the ward together, and Jiao Yang immediately started to issue a dismissal, ”It’s getting late, you all go back. Tongtong will take care of me.”

”You rest well, I’ll come to see you again tomorrow,” Luo Xiaoqian waved to Yu Tong, and the group left the ward.

Shen Yizhou reiterated some precautions to Jiao Yang and then left the ward as well.

”Close the door,” Jiao Yang uttered, and Tongtong immediately closed the door before returning to his side, offering her arm, ”Shall I help you change your clothes?”

Withdrawing his arm from her grasp, Jiao Yang stepped back lazily, his eyes focusing on her youthful face. His tone was no longer as irreverent as usual, ”This is the first and last time. And one more thing, listen carefully, be nicer to Luo Xiaoqian from now on!”

Tongtong pressed her lips together, ”Do... do you like her?”

”Of course, I do!” Jiao Yang sneered, ”I like all beautiful women. Of course, the premise is that they have to be sensible and well-behaved!”

”Then...” Tongtong cautiously looked at his face, ”Do you like me?”

Jiao Yang laughed as if he had heard the funniest joke in the world, ”Tongtong, as a temporary actor, you can’t expect both a salary and a boxed lunch, I despise greedy women.”

”But I...” Tongtong’s face fell again, ”I truly like you!”

”Is that so?” Jiao Yang yawned, ”Tell me, what do you like about me?”

”So much, artistic, capable, with unique insight, humorous, sunny...” Tongtong looked up with bright eyes full of admiration, ”Every time I see you, even if I have unspeakable troubles, it feels like your enthusiasm can melt them away in an instant. Just looking at you makes me feel warm!”

”Go home, I’ve heard similar lines a thousand times over,” Jiao Yang said as he took off his shirt, heading to the balcony and waving his hand at her, ”You see, a man like me, it’s enough to just look. You can’t hold on to me!”
