After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 744: Chapter 748: Getting the Certificate [2]

”Luo Xiaoqian, I’ll give you one week. If after one week, you still haven’t left Leng Zimo, then brace yourself for all the media in the world to come interviewing you. Committing murder for the woman he loves – such a grand love story. Do you really have the heart to watch him destroy himself? Ha...”

The man’s voice once again rang in her ears like a curse, and Luo Xiaoqian suddenly snapped back to reality, wiping away her tears and dashing out of the study, up the stairs, quickly gathering her identity card, passport, and other essentials before turning and rushing into the bedroom to pull open the wardrobe.

Leng Zimo was about to return to the Capital soon, and if he didn’t see her at the entrance of the marriage registration office, he would definitely come looking for her. She needed to be quick.

Whoosh!

As the closet door slid open, the clothes inside were revealed.

His suits were interspersed with her dresses; their clothing completely intermixed.

Luo Xiaoqian felt as if she had been electrocuted, standing there stunned.

If she left like this, what would she let Leng Zimo do?!

No, no... She had to find a way to not cause him distress.

But how could it be possible? He loved her so much, how could he let her go?!

”What should I do, Zimo, what should I do?”

Digging her fingers into her hair, Luo Xiaoqian sank to her knees, sobbing bitterly in front of the closet full of lavish clothes.

On the nightstand, the landline telephone began to ring.

Luo Xiaoqian turned her face, looking at the persistently ringing phone for a long while before finally standing up and walking over.

On the screen, Leng Zimo’s mobile number was displayed. She reached out to pick it up but then hesitated. The phone continued to ring insistently, as if he would never hang up if she didn’t answer.

After wiping her face, Luo Xiaoqian picked up the receiver.

”You little brat, I thought you were really going to flee from the wedding!” On the phone, Leng Zimo’s voice was unusually cheerful, ”Alright, get up quickly, don’t make me wait too long. Once we register our marriage, let’s have breakfast together.”

”...”

”Why are you not speaking? Are you feeling unwell? Do you want me to come pick you up?”

”No, no need...” Luo Xiaoqian hurriedly declined, ”I... I’ll go there myself. Yu Tong and the others will be here soon.”

He could tell something was wrong from her voice, and Leng Zimo’s tone became worried, ”Have you been crying?”

”No, I just woke up. My nose is a bit uncomfortable...”

”Did you catch a cold? Silly girl, haven’t I told you before, you can’t catch a cold now that you’re pregnant...”

”I’m sorry!”

”I’m not blaming you!” Leng Zimo sighed on the other end of the phone, ”Ok, no worries, we will get a check-up at the hospital after we finish the registration.”

The doorbell rang.

”Yu Tong and the others are here, I... I have to hang up now.”

”Don’t rush, have a cup of hot water before you come.”

”Okay!”

As soon as Luo Xiaoqian hung up the phone, the tears uncontrollably streamed down again.

After wiping her eyes, she turned to go downstairs to open the door. As she reached the door, she suddenly remembered something and turned back upstairs to head into the bathroom, washed her face, and tried to compose herself before descending to open the door.

”Please sit for a while, I’ll go get ready upstairs.”

Without daring to chat much with Yu Tong, she headed back upstairs and stood before the vanity mirror.

In the mirror was a pale face, eyes slightly red, the blood vessels clear.

Opening a drawer, Luo Xiaoqian took out her makeup bag and began to carefully apply makeup, creating a delicate, light makeup look to hide her pale and exhausted face.

By the time she came back downstairs, she had already transformed herself back into a radiant beauty.
