After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 241: Chapter 242 Viewing the Sea [8]

”I know, actually her love for me is not a bit less than my father’s, I really regretted it, regretted some of the things I said and did back then...”

Luo Xiaoqian stopped in her tracks and looked at Leng Zimo, ”I know I have no right to criticize your life, I’m just suggesting that sometimes parents might do things we can’t understand, but no parent doesn’t love their child, I hope you cherish that!”

She didn’t want him to experience the sorrow of wanting to provide care when parents are no longer there, just like she did.

His situation was not the same as hers.

Leng Zimo met her gaze, his heart filled with warmth. Looking at her slightly reddened eyes, he teased her on purpose, ”To guess that it was my dad, looks like you are not that dumb!”

Give me a break!

She was comforting him, and instead of being touched, he was teasing her?

”I was never dumb, it’s you who keeps calling me dummy!”

Luo Xiaoqian withdrew her hand and strode towards the parking lot.

All the way back to his car, she was fuming and raised her leg intending to kick his car, but mid-kick, she retreated.

The car is too expensive, if she damaged the paint, she couldn’t afford to fix it.

Glancing left and right, she took two steps forward and kicked his car tire hard.

”You are the Big Fool!”

Tires really are great, at least they don’t break when you kick them!

From afar, Leng Zimo watched her actions and chuckled lightly. The displeasure that had just arisen in his heart also dissipated without a trace.

And Luo Xiaoqian, having vented by kicking the tire, now returned to her usual cheerful self. The sadness from talking about her mother and father seemed to have been thrown somewhere out of mind.

By the time they were back in the car, both were in a wonderful mood.

”Where do you want to go?” Leng Zimo asked as he started the car.

”Anywhere?” Luo Xiaoqian raised an eyebrow in response.

”As long as you dare to say.”

”Okay then!” Luo Xiaoqian fastened her seatbelt, ”I want to see the sea!”

”Alright!”

Leng Zimo hit the gas, and the car immediately left the parking area, onto the Third Ring Road, heading straight onto the Beijing Highway. At first, Luo Xiaoqian thought he was just taking her back to the villa in the northern suburbs, but as the car passed the Huairou exit and continued forward, she looked at Leng Zimo with confusion.

”Where are we going?”

He gripped the steering wheel and uttered two words.

”To see the sea.”

Was he serious?

”I was kidding!” Luo Xiaoqian hurriedly said.

Leng Zimo turned his face to hers and smiled.

”I’m not.”

”But...”

He stretched out his hand and pushed her back into the seat.

”Sleep.”

Tomorrow, if her planning proposal is approved, she will dive into the busiest part of her work, getting permits, filming MTV... all sorts of tasks that will surely keep her very busy. And he is about to travel to Europe again to begin scouting locations for a movie, which will likely occupy a lot of his time.

Before all this, he wanted to take her to relax properly.

Before coming out, he had made all the work arrangements and had prepared accordingly. However, where to go was for Luo Xiaoqian to decide.

She said she wanted to see the sea, so to the sea they would go!

Beidaihe River is just over three hours’ drive from the Capital; if they go this afternoon and return early tomorrow, it’s absolutely doable.

Knowing that she couldn’t change what he had decided, Luo Xiaoqian didn’t say anything more. For now, she leaned back into the seat to enjoy the scenery.
