After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 217: Chapter 218: Photo [9]

After a quick shower and change of clothes at home, Leng Zimo headed straight to the company.

Ailin saw him arrive and immediately followed him into the office.

”I’ve found out. The person who sold the photos is called Zhang Hua, a pretty crafty paparazzo,” Ailin placed an envelope on his desk, ”I’ve bought all the photos from that day!”

Leng Zimo took the envelope, pulled out the photos, and flipped through them in his hands.

Apart from the one photo that was published, there was nothing remotely intimate in the others. Noticing a photo in which Luo Xiaoqian was holding a photo, Leng Zimo frowned slightly.

In the corner of the photo, there was a timestamp — April 27th, just after 2 p.m.

April 27th?!

With Leng Zimo’s memory, he immediately recalled that it was the day he had a meeting to discuss the film planning case, and also the day Luo Xiaoqian had called him to come home for dumplings.

That day, Luo Xiaoqian also bought an album.

He hadn’t seen her take out that photo before and hadn’t paid attention to it, but now it seemed that it was right after that day that she had started to display the photo.

Looking at the photo in his hands, where Luo Xiaoqian was carefully holding it, a possibility suddenly crossed his mind.

”Luo Xiaoqian’s single and promotional photos have already been selected. Would you like to take a look?”

According to procedure, the single and photos of a new artist naturally didn’t need Leng Zimo’s personal attention. However, considering that he had given special instructions about this matter, Ailin thought it necessary to report to her BOSS.

”Hmm,” Leng Zimo lifted his gaze from the photos, ”what date did she announce for the release?”

”The 15th!”

The 15th, less than a week away, and certainly she wouldn’t be able to adjust in time.

After thinking for a moment, Leng Zimo said, ”Send a message to the media, say that due to overexertion during recording, she became physically drained and accidentally fell and injured her leg, pushing back the release date by a week!”

”Okay!” Ailin agreed, ”Then, should we send out the photo information?”

”You go to the hospital personally, find Director Shen, remember to buy a new cell phone for her, and get her a new SIM card with the same number she was using before,” Leng Zimo instructed.

Ailin agreed as she placed the documents in her hand on his desk, ”These are the documents that need your signature, they’re quite urgent!”

”Okay,” Leng Zimo stuffed the photos into a drawer and opened the documents, ”Remember, also arrange a suitable dinner for the injured!”

Ailin gave him a quick look and smiled as she agreed.

...

...

By the time Leng Zimo finished his work and returned to the hospital, the night outside had deepened.

On the pillow, Luo Xiaoqian was sleeping soundly.

Next to her, a hospital nurse was diligently checking Luo Xiaoqian’s temperature chart.

When she saw him come in, the nurse turned around feeling somewhat uneasy and hurried to greet him politely.

”Mr. Leng, you’re here!”

Leng Zimo placed a finger on his lips, gesturing for her to lower her voice.

At the sight of the handsome man’s face, the nurse’s cheeks reddened and her voice began to tremble.

”Director Shen has done a full examination on Luo Xiaoqian, there are no problems except for the external injuries, Luo Xiaoqian has had dinner, her fever has subsided, and her condition is very stable now, you do not need to worry!”

Leng Zimo nodded gently and waved his hand as he walked to the bedside.

The nurse hurried out of the room, and Leng Zimo sat down on the chair beside the bed, gazing at Luo Xiaoqian, whose face was flushed with sleep. He reached out to dim the bedside lamp to its lowest setting.
