After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 203: Chapter 204: You’ve Hidden Your Beauty in a Golden House【5】

”Fuck, thinking my money is easy to earn, drag her back for me!”

”Don’t be angry, I’ll handle this!” Fang Zhuo gave him a smile and turned to chase out the door.

She followed Luo Xiaoqian to the stairs and, with a smile, grabbed her arm.

”Let go of me!” Luo Xiaoqian fiercely shook off her hand.

”Miss Luo, please don’t be angry. Our President Li just had a bit too much to drink. I’ll talk to him later!” Fang Zhuo caught up with her again and walked with her to the lobby, ”You see, it’s so late, there are no vehicles back to Beijing now, and it’s raining. Where could you possibly go? How about this, I’ll take you to the hotel. Tomorrow morning, I promise to get your performance fee into your hands, okay?”

Outside, the sound of the rain seeped in, the earlier light rain having turned into a downpour without notice.

Luo Xiaoqian stepped out into the lobby and looked at the rain outside, her delicate brows slightly furrowed.

”I really am so sorry about earlier!” Fang Zhuo approached her again, gesturing for the driver waiting outside to bring the car up, ”I’ll take you back to the hotel to get some good rest!”

Being in a strange place and knowing no one, Luo Xiaoqian saw Fang Zhuo’s sincere face and did not refuse again. After all, the other person was a woman, and she couldn’t really do much to her.

Besides, she had taken such a great risk to come here, worked, but hadn’t received the money, and naturally, she was not willing to let it go.

The Audi pulled into the portico, and Fang Zhuo gestured to the driver, then they half-dragged, half-pushed Luo Xiaoqian into the car.

Soon, the car arrived at another hotel, where Fang Zhuo personally escorted Luo Xiaoqian to a room on the third floor.

”Miss Luo, have a good rest. I’ll take my leave now. Tomorrow morning, I’ll come to take you to the station!”

”Thank you for the trouble!”

Seeing that it was indeed a hotel, Luo Xiaoqian’s anxiety eased somewhat; she thanked Fang Zhuo and sent her out the door.

After locking the door, she threw her bag and coat onto one of the twin beds and sighed with relief. Taking her bag with her, she walked into the bathroom to remove her makeup and wash her face.

Beijing International Airport.

Leng Zimo, along with other actors and staff members who were part of the award ceremony, walked leisurely toward the exit.

He was wearing a light khaki trench coat, and although there was fatigue in his expression, his eyes still sparkled with vitality.

Thanks to the successful adjustment of the awards ceremony this year, they finished the Cannes Film Festival work a day early. The company had two works that won awards, and he also secured the trophy for Best Producer.

Winning awards was nothing new for him, but the thought of being able to come back early and see that person made his stride particularly light.

Walking beside him were a man and a woman.

The man, as tall as Leng Zimo, sported handsome features with a hint of a melancholic air, not overshadowed at all by Leng Zimo’s presence. He was Qin Lan, the actor who had once again won the Best Actor award at Cannes and who was the rumored love interest designated for Luo Xiaoqian before.

At his side, a young girl clung tightly to his arm. It was Qin Lan’s girlfriend, Huangfu Ruo.

”Since we’re still not over the jet lag, why don’t we find a place to celebrate?” Qin Lan, adjusting Huangfu Ruo’s clothing, asked Leng Zimo with a smile.

”Some other time,” Leng Zimo declined outright.

”You’re in such a hurry to get back, could it be that you’ve hidden a beauty in a golden house?” Qin Lan asked jokingly.

Before Leng Zimo could answer, reporters waiting at the airport had already rushed forward, eagerly snapping pictures of everyone.

Leng Zimo was already accustomed to such situations and continued forward without a sideways glance.
