After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 223: Chapter 224: You Really Don’t Want to See Me?【15】

In the hospital ward.

Luo Xiaoqian held her mobile phone, entering and then deleting Leng Zimo’s phone number several times.

Even though she had changed to a new phone, she remembered each digit of his number very clearly.

Having lied to him so many times, she really didn’t want to lie again.

If he really got angry, she was prepared to accept it.

Taking a deep breath, Luo Xiaoqian finally pressed the ”call” button on the screen.

Even after making her decision, as she listened to the ringing tone on the other end, she couldn’t help feeling extremely nervous.

”Hello!”

On the other end, Leng Zimo’s voice came through calmly.

”Um...”

The words she had thought of were hard to say when they reached her lips, and Luo Xiaoqian didn’t know where to start, whether to talk about the gossip first, or the commercial performance, or...

”Are you not feeling well?”

On the other end, Leng Zimo’s voice was very gentle.

”No!” Luo Xiaoqian bit her lip, ”Zimo, I have some things I want to explain to you!”

”Go ahead!”

On the other end, Leng Zimo leaned back in his chair, shifting to a more comfortable position.

Luo Xiaoqian hesitated for a moment but decided to start with the scandal; money was a small matter to him, and he was probably more concerned about this, right?

”You must have heard about the scandal, and I want to explain it to you...”

She wanted to explain to him?!

The corners of Leng Zimo’s lips lifted as he continued to listen.

Then, a knock on the door of the ward abruptly interrupted.

”Hold on a second!” Luo Xiaoqian turned her gaze towards the door, ”Who is it?”

The door opened and a young nurse entered with a flushed face, ”Luo Xiaoqian, someone has come to visit you!”

Luo Xiaoqian looked behind her, not seeing anyone, but what she did see was a large bouquet of flowers.

”Hallo!” The bouquet lowered to reveal a bewitchingly radiant smiling face, and Jiao Yang cheerfully approached her bed, ”Xiao Qian, I’ve come to ’apologize with flowers’!”

”Jiao Yang?!”

Surprised, Luo Xiaoqian instinctively called out the other person’s name.

On the phone, still patiently waiting for Luo Xiaoqian to speak, Leng Zimo’s face changed in an instant when he heard her exclaim ”Jiao Yang.”

”I’ll be right there!”

After uttering five words, he hung up the call efficiently, stood up, grabbed his suit jacket from the coat rack, and strode toward the door.

”Hello!”

Luo Xiaoqian, brought back to reality by Leng Zimo’s voice, remembered that she was still on the call with him.

This is bad!

Hearing the dial tone coming from the phone, Luo Xiaoqian’s left hand, which held the phone, dropped weakly.

”What’s wrong?” Jiao Yang handed the bouquet to the young nurse beside him, ”Can you find a vase for me, please?”

”Of course!” The nurse, nearly starry-eyed at his handsome face, took the bouquet and scurried off to find a vase.

Walking lazily to Luo Xiaoqian’s side, Jiao Yang tapped the center of his forehead with the arm of his sunglasses, ”Looking at your expression, it seems like a mix of shock but no joy. What’s wrong, you’re not happy to see me? I am here to apologize sincerely, you know!”

With a helpless look, Luo Xiaoqian rolled her eyes at him, ”I accept your apology, you can go now!”

She hadn’t even finished explaining things to Leng Zimo, and now he was adding to the chaos.

If she had a choice, she would rather he hadn’t come to apologize.

Leng Zimo, that guy, when he says he’ll be right there, he means it. What will happen when he gets here and sees Jiao Yang? How will she explain things then?!

Thinking of Leng Zimo flying into a rage, Luo Xiaoqian felt a wave of headache come on.
