After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 231: Chapter 232 Allergies [8]

In his arms, the red roses bloomed vibrantly, the petals between his fingers as soft as a lover’s lips.

The door was pushed open once again.

Leng Zimo entered with a thermal container, and upon seeing Luo Xiaoqian almost submerged in a sea of flowers, he casually approached, moved a bunch of flowers from the table, and placed the container on it.

”Do you like them?”

”Like them? Of course, I like them!” Luo Xiaoqian bent down, pretended to be intoxicated, and took a deep sniff, ”So fragrant... Ah... Achoo!”

Her nose intensely itchy, she couldn’t help but sneeze loudly.

Rubbing her nose, she smiled apologetically at him, ”I really do li... Achoo!”

”Why are you crying?” Leng Zimo asked, noticing the tears gleaming in her eyes.

Was she crying?!

Luo Xiaoqian raised her hand to wipe her eyes, and indeed, there were tears.

”It’s because I’m touched... Achoo! Achoo!”

However, Luo Xiaoqian’s sneezes did not stop there. Instead, they grew fiercer, one after the other, and not just that—tears streamed from her eyes as well.

Leng Zimo frowned slightly at her, then reached out and snatched the bouquet from her hands.

He grabbed a bunch of flowers and hurried out of the ward, pulled a passing nurse into the room with him.

”Quick, examine her!”

The nurse, still unsettled, stood by the bed as Luo Xiaoqian continued sneezing non-stop.

Leng Zimo, who had tossed all the bouquets out of the ward, walked over worriedly, grabbed a tissue, and was about to hand it to her.

”Wait up!” Shen Yizhou grabbed his arm, ”You just held the flowers, it’s best you keep your distance from her!”

Leng Zimo gave him a glance, swiftly took off his suit jacket, threw it outside the door, and went to wash his hands thoroughly in the restroom. Then he returned to Luo Xiaoqian’s side, took her wrist, and helped wipe her hands.

Meanwhile, Shen Yizhou began to enquire about what had happened. Luo Xiaoqian didn’t dare to hide anything and recounted the events in detail, ”Jiao Yang had bought some lilies earlier and put them there; I didn’t touch them. Later, someone just stuffed a red rose into my arms, and then, I smelled it!”

Suppressing a smile, Shen Yizhou glancing sideways at Leng Zimo said, ”Xiao Qian, have you had any allergies before?”

Luo Xiaoqian shook her head.

”Then... has no one ever given you roses before?”

After thinking, she shook her head again.

It seemed that Lu Hao had never given her flowers, and although guests at Golden Palace would sometimes send them, she never actually touched any. If it hadn’t been for this experience, she wouldn’t have known that she was allergic to rose pollen.

”Now, I can almost determine that you’re allergic to rose pollen, but we’ll need to see your blood allergen test results for a definitive answer!” Shen Yizhou’s tone turned serious, ”Allergies can be serious. You must be careful in the future and not just accept flowers from others willy-nilly, understand?!”
