After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 202: Chapter 203: You’ve Got the Wrong Person [4]

”Hello!” Luo Xiaoqian busied herself extending her right hand, shaking with the other party, and was about to retract it.

However, the opponent’s greasy palm only clung tightly to her hand without letting go, and the other hand was gently patting on the back of hers.

”Miss Luo, you are even more beautiful than on TV!”

”President Li flatters me!” Luo Xiaoqian put more strength into her hand and finally snatched her hand back from his grasp.

A flash of displeasure crossed President Li’s eyes, but it was quickly concealed, ”Come, have a seat!”

”Yes, yes, yes, Miss Luo next to President Li!” Secretary Fang Zhuo also stepped forward, taking Luo Xiaoqian’s arm and pushing her to sit down beside President Li at the table, and then they started pouring drinks.

”I don’t drink alcohol!” When the drink was poured into Luo Xiaoqian’s glass, she raised her hand to block the rim, ”Can I just have juice?”

”How can that be? This Maotai doesn’t go to your head, it’s fine, just drink a little!” President Li pulled her hand away, and then Fang Zhuo filled her glass to the brim.

”Come, to the success of tonight’s performance, cheers!”

President Li led the way by lifting his glass, and the rest all lifted theirs; Luo Xiaoqian, with no choice, stiffly raised her glass as well.

The group clinked glasses and drank, but she merely dabbed the wine against her lips.

”Xiao Qian, that’s not right of you!” President Li turned toward her, flaunting his empty glass with his left hand, ”We’ve all drunk ours, and you only sipping seems a bit insincere. How does that saying go, ’A deep friendship is sealed with a gulp, a shallow one barely a lick.’ I am your loyal fan. Come, Fang Zhuo, pour the drink, I toast to Miss Luo!”

The secretary hurried to fill his glass, and President Li extended it towards Luo Xiaoqian, barely touching hers.

He tilted his head back and downed it in one gulp.

”President Li, I’m really sorry, my stomach can’t take it, I truly can’t drink alcohol. Instead, how about this...” Luo Xiaoqian stood up, picked up a teacup from the table, ”I’ll toast you with tea, is that okay?”

”Look at you being so formal!” President Li grabbed her arm and pulled her back into the chair, his right hand conveniently landing on her thigh, ”I never like to force anyone, I understand you singers have to take care of your voices, it’s okay, I’ll drink this one for you!”

He took her glass and drank from it, yet his hand remained on her thigh and didn’t leave, and in fact, it slowly started moving toward the root of her thigh.

Luo Xiaoqian instantly felt her skin crawl, and with a sharp flick, she threw off his hand. She stood up from the chair abruptly, ”President Li, please show some respect!”

Because she stood up so abruptly, her chair fell to the ground with a clatter, emitting a grating noise.

The other three people at the table all turned their gazes towards her.

President Li gave Luo Xiaoqian a sideways glance, his face furious, with a snort from his nose.

”Pretending to be so pure, it’s just that little thing, isn’t it? Do you really think of yourself as a star? Aren’t you just a pretty face?”

He turned around, picked up his bag from the ground, and with one swift motion opened the zipper to reveal the shiny, neat stacks of cash inside. He grabbed a thick stack, tossed it smilingly onto the table.

”Your singing is worth fifty thousand, but this is a hundred thousand. Tonight, as long as you keep me company obediently, all this money is yours. And if you make me happy, perhaps I might give you a bonus!”

”You’ve misjudged the person!”

Luo Xiaoqian didn’t even glance at the money on the table. She just bent down to pick up her bag and jacket and stormed out, slamming the door behind her.
