After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 232: Chapter 233: Your Jealousy is Deadly [9]

”Okay!” Luo Xiaoqian sniffled and nodded her head.

”And you!” Shen Yizhou glanced sidelong at Leng Zimo, ”Next time you get jealous, be a little more careful. Other people get exhausted by jealousy, but when you get jealous, it’s life-threatening. Also, please clean up the hallway!”

Taking the towel from Luo Xiaoqian’s hands, Leng Zimo replied with a single word, ”Scram!”

Clutching the towel, he turned and walked into the bathroom.

Shen Yizhou stood by the bed, smiling at Luo Xiaoqian, ”Rest well. I’m going to check on other wards. Don’t worry, in general, an allergic reaction isn’t fatal!”

”Thank you, Dr. Shen!” Luo Xiaoqian glanced at the corridor filled with flowers, ”Could you please have someone clean up those flowers?”

”Sure!” Shen Yizhou smiled and left the ward.

In the distance, the young nurses were peering curiously but didn’t dare to come over.

The temper of Leng Zimo had been well-communicated these past few days; seeing him throw clothes and flowers around, they feared becoming accidental victims and didn’t dare to approach.

”Come over here and tidy up these flowers. Distribute a bunch to each ward. Today, our President Leng is giving flowers to all the patients!”

Upon hearing this, the nurses hurried over and began cleaning up the bouquets from the floor. Shen Yizhou bent down to pick up Leng Zimo’s suit, ”If Canali’s tailors knew how you treated their suits, they’d certainly revoke your VIP status!”

Inside the ward.

Leng Zimo came out of the bathroom again and immediately took out dumplings from the thermos, carefully ladled them into a bowl, and brought them over to her.

Taking the dumplings and tableware, Luo Xiaoqian stole a quick glance at him.

Had Shen Yizhou spoken truthfully about him being jealous just now? Could it be that he had filled the entire room with flowers because Jiao Yang sent her flowers?

”Jealous?”

Leng Zimo lifted the small bottle of vinegar from the bag.

”No need. Keep it for yourself to eat!” Luo Xiaoqian was quick to shake her head, then afraid he might misunderstand, she clarified, ”I mean, dipping dumplings, not that kind of jealous, that’s not what I meant...”

Yet the more she tried to explain, the messier it got, and even she didn’t understand what she was saying anymore.

It was a mess of her own making – why did she insist on eating dumplings?

Watching her visibly uncomfortable, Leng Zimo calmly brought the small bottle over and carefully poured vinegar into her bowl.

”Eat,” he said.

Luo Xiaoqian dared not say anything else and immediately began eating her dumplings.

”When do you plan to invite Jiao Yang for a meal?”

”Cough...” Luo Xiaoqian almost choked again, and gazing into her bowl of dumplings, she murmured softly, ”I haven’t thought it through yet.”

”I’ll go with you!” His tone was utterly affirmative, and he didn’t leave any room for refusal.

”Okay!” Out of options, Luo Xiaoqian agreed.

At the same time, she made a secret vow to indefinitely postpone that meal.

After all, having seen the tension between the two men in just a short while, she didn’t want to become the cannon fodder on their battlefield.

...

...

After three days of recuperation, Luo Xiaoqian’s foot injury had finally healed, and she was finally permitted by Shen Yizhou to go through with the discharge formalities.

She had thought that Leng Zimo would come, but this time she guessed wrong. The ones who came to pick her up were Yu Tong, Leng Zimo’s driver Xiao Ding, and two other company staff members. Yu Tong specifically requested her to change into a suit that Xiao Ding had brought for her.

After changing into her clothes, Luo Xiaoqian emerged from the restroom, ”It’s not like I’m going to a press conference. Does it have to be this grand?”
