High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 2963: Chapter 1181: Entering the School

There are no visits without reason in this world.

Especially when the visitors are those top figures in the Wizard World.

Sir naturally understands this.

In fact, he is perfectly clear about their intentions.

So, when Zheng Qing and the old panda began gnawing on bamboo shoots, the elder raised his head, looking over at Abraham, Demon Ancestor, and R’lyeh with a somewhat inquisitive gaze: ”——Besides ’Order’, what else do you want to know?”

Ask now, so you won’t need to return to the school later.

Everyone understood the implicit meaning behind his words.

The white-robed wizard’s face was solemn, the Demon Ancestor’s expression was unfathomable, and R’lyeh, expressionless, silently observed the young wizard and the old panda gnawing on bamboo shoots.

”We can all sense that this world still has only seven ancients.”

A melodious voice came from above, clearly echoing in this small space: ”——But currently standing here are eight. So, one of us is not of the ancients.”

”Nicolas means that we other ones are.” The Demon Ancestor kindly supplemented.

Sir, however, raised his eyebrows.

”I am no longer one of the ancients... I thought you knew that long ago.” He showed just the right amount of surprise, as if he didn’t understand why they would ask such a strange question.

This answer left the other ancients silent.

Yet no one dared to question this answer.

The silence lasted for a moment, then Abraham asked another question that everyone cared about: ”——So, how did you transcend?”

”Let’s talk about this later.”

Sir waved his hand and looked upward: ”Hmm, you should come down too; hanging around up there is too conspicuous... the children on the Alliance side might be scared.”

Invited, the three large stars of the Galaxy Left Bank flickered simultaneously.

Three streaks of light fell at the school’s entrance, revealing three figures —in the middle, a golden-robed girl with long silver hair, green eyes, and an extra-long cowlick; on the left, a voluptuous, tall witch wearing a robe as thin as cicada wings, with a graceful posture; on the right, a slender witch with gold-rimmed glasses, her taut silver robe couldn’t hide her charming figure, and her indifferent expression added some unique allure.

Zheng Qing, who was gnawing on bamboo shoots, subconsciously lightened his chewing.

Unexpectedly, the guests from the starry sky were so beautiful, the thought flashed through his mind.

The ancients looked at him with peculiar expressions.

Sir remained silent.

But it was R’lyeh who lightly coughed, softly reminding: ”——The ’outer form’ you see now is generated by your ’inner form’. In other words...”

”...it’s because you like pretty girls, so what you see are all pretty girls.” The old panda smacked the young wizard’s head, making him stagger.

Zheng Qing cradled his head, wishing a crack would open in the ground for him to slip into.

At the same time, he intensified his mind protection magic inwardly, while wondering why the other ancients were all male.

”——This is one of the road distinctions.”

Sir supported the boy’s shoulder, guiding him through the school gate: ”Taking the traditional path, concepts converge within oneself, making the self-existence extraordinarily strong, allowing you to see their relatively singular ’true form’; taking the Starry Sky Path requires accommodating too many external concepts, making forms change mysteriously, often differing by person and not unique... When you read about Satoguya, Hastur, etc., they often show different forms to followers for this reason.”

He led Zheng Qing and Leviathan forward.

The other seven ancients followed in succession.

The school’s main gate was located at the center of First Square.

This was a square paved in Han Baiyu Stone, the pristine stone slabs sparkling dazzlingly in the sunlight. Zheng Qing belatedly looked up, realizing at some point Buji Island’s sun was once again in the sky.

When withdrawing his gaze, his sight lingered on the center of the gate with the emblem of First University hanging —a round wooden panel with a slowly spinning black pyramid, though it’s unknown whether this emblem will change after Edge Academy is established.

”Study without thinking leads to confusion; thinking without study leads to danger!”

Behind, the old panda shook his head, moaning as he read the motto on the gate pillars: ”——Though I’ve known these words for thousands of years, each reading brings new insight.”

Behind the door was the grand First Hall.

The usually spacious First Hall was now packed to the brim. From first to fourth-year students, to gray-robed school workers, black-robed assistants, researchers, and various professors, lines of people silently and expectantly watched the doorway direction.

Professors had just given urgent notice that the principal and several distinguished guests would soon arrive at First Hall. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Being described as ’distinguished’ by the legendary level vice-principal was unattainable for these young wizards. Perhaps, this was the only chance for many wizards in this hall to touch such exalted existence.

Tap, tap, tap.

The calm sound of footsteps echoed through the hall, a warm aura surged into the hall, easily dispelling the previous starry sky pollution lingering in the auditorium.

On the iron-gray floor, crisscrossing silver lines and hollow characters lit up one by one, above the auditorium, desolate like a night sky ceiling, large stars of varying colors rose one after another.

Gold, green, silver.

Red, blood-red, blue, white.

A purple galaxy traversed through them, marking these seven large stars on the north and south banks, like the real starry sky outside First Hall. Sir walked slowly along the galaxy shadow, Zheng Qing and Leviathan on either side, followed by the guests a few paces behind.

The crowd parted like waves.

Revealing a narrow passage, leading forward.

Zheng Qing clearly saw the wide-eyed Xin Fat Man not far away, saw Xiao Xiao seriously adjusting his glasses, saw Jiang Yu’s worried face, and Lin Guo seeming to stretch their neck wanting to greet.

But he didn’t respond to his companions’ greetings.

The solemn atmosphere around made him unconsciously tense up, every step exceedingly laborious. He felt many stunned and confused expressions around, yet did not hear the usual whispers.

The heavy aura of the ancients entering the hall silenced everyone as if chilled.

”——Principal.”

Elder Ruoyu stepped out with the crowd, his gaze briefly passing over Leviathan, paused on Zheng Qing, not daring to linger on the guests, then whispered: ”The students are all in First Hall now, should they be made...”

Evidently, he was somewhat concerned about the safety of these young wizards.

”It’s rare to see so many big shots; if you let them leave now, they will be scolded later.”

Sir chuckled softly, shaking his head slightly: ”——No need to leave, just let them stand in the back of the corridor, witnessing isn’t a bad thing... Moreover, the whole school, probably only First Hall can house these few guests.”
