High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 2956: Chapter 1174: The Silver Hexagram

Above Buji Island.

When the silver starlight descended.

From the Tricksters of the North District to the Big Wizards on the Astronomical Tower, and to the Legends at the open sea, everyone felt the weighty pressure belonging to the Ancients contained within that starlight.

And the higher the rank of the wizard, the stronger this sensation.

Professor Emma, entangled with Montelio, was the first to want to withdraw back to the island, but Montelio, wielding the ’Primordial’, clung to her like a madman.

”Are you insane?”

The huge Firebird spread its wings, its sharp voice tinged with a mix of shock and anger: ”——You actually collaborated with those guys from the Starry Sky! Do you intend to destroy the entire Buji Island?”

Before this, in her eyes, Professor Montreya’s betrayal still had some room for consideration — although his Black Magic experiments were not accepted by the mainstream Wizard World, as the saying goes, ’The little thief is punished, the one who steals a kingdom is made a prince.’ A Registered wizard’s Black Magic experiment is a Black Magic experiment, while a Legend’s Black Magic experiment is termed as a ’post-modern experiment’ or ’avant-garde experiment’ in the Wizard World.

How many wizards in this world can go their entire lives without encountering Black Magic?

More subtly, Professor Montreya was from Alpha Academy, with an ancient surname, and what he seized was a ’Legendary Opportunity’ that belonged to Korma, who was from Jiuyou Academy and had his own school.

With the complex relationship now between the Northern District wizards and Traditional Wizards, finding a way to have the school accept Professor Montreya as the Dean of the Peripheral College seemed to be a means to gain broader support within the Alliance.

If even a Big Demon like Old Yao could get into the school to become a professor and a dean, then what serious mistake could be counted against Professor Montreya who just conducted a bit of Black Magic experiment?

Of course, the precondition for re-accepting Montreya was that he had to accept the school’s punishment, to be suppressed by the school. In other words, he must first be sentenced before he could serve a suspended sentence.

But all these calculations turned to emptiness when the silver starlight fell.

Because the Starry Sky represented another path for the wizards, a path distinctly opposite from the school, from Buji Island, from the Alliance. If the conflict between wizards and Demons can be considered as a conflict between different interests within ’convergent’ paths, then the Starry Sky signifies a ’divergent’ path with no commonality with the Traditional Wizard group.

Like day and night.

Montelio did not respond to Professor Emma’s angry rebuke.

Instead, he responded with deep Spell Light.

Boom!

Boom! Boom!

Columns of seawater surged skyward, twisting and intertwining, forming thick light blue arms, lifting a blossoming Five-Colored Lotus into the air.

The lotus scattered tens of thousands of rays of light.

The ocean then reached out with thousands of arms.

”Serpents rise with the mist, only to become mere dirt and ash!”

Shi Hui showed no mercy because KOTOS had just advanced — she didn’t have the time for mercy now — so she directly used the most ferocious means of attack, trying to suppress the uninvited guest at sea in the shortest possible time.

The sea, after all, could not contend with the sky.

The experienced Legend who had once served as Vice President of the First University didn’t exert much effort dealing with a Legendary Giant that had just advanced less than a year ago. The thousands of giant arms KOTOS condensed met the thousands of rays of light raining from the sky like snowflakes meeting the scorching sun, sublimating into mist upon contact and then turning to fly ash.

This elicited a faint regret in Shi Hui’s heart.

Somewhat like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

If KOTOS had faced her magic with its true form, it would have likely lost most of its true form by now, perhaps even knocking it out of the Legendary Rank altogether.

But now, it only destroyed one of its sea avatars.

Even so, KOTOS must be in agony at this moment.

Just as the Five-Colored Lotus was about to press its advantage and fully suppress the Multiple-Armed Giant, a faint streak of greyish-white Spell Light flashed by, gently brushing the Five-Colored Lotus aside.

”——Let’s talk this over, let’s talk this over, no fighting.” The President of the Dark Council frowned, speaking amiably while reminding Shi Hui: ”The one from the Starry Sky is about to arrive. Are you sure you want to waste time here?”

The Witch knew this old man was up to no good and glared at him fiercely: ”Is it that I don’t want to leave?”

”I won’t let her go.”

The expressionless bald giant stepped out from the water mist, wiping his wet head, and replied honestly: ”You may leave and I can’t stop you, but you can’t stop me from going onto the island.”

The sky grew increasingly bright.

The patches of red and black had been riddled with holes by the increasingly dense starlight, and their area was shrinking. The starlight cloaked the world in a beautiful layer of silver and white; standing within it, one could vaguely see countless enticing doors of knowledge, urging people to walk into the depths of that starlight.

Above the Silent Forest floated a faint layer of dark green, isolating that layer of starlight.

The Protect Legal Formation of the First University also strained to open wide, blocking the invasion of the starlight.

Shi Hui took a deep breath — she saw at the end of those silver starlights, an Infinite Radiant Sphere emitting boundless brilliance, as if countless worlds were stacked together, forming a vaguely visible Hexagram — this signified that the Ancient one, Yog, was about to traverse countless worlds to descend upon Buji Island.

It also signaled that she was out of time.

”Enter the island if you wish, it’s up to you.”

The Five-Colored Lotus tapped lightly in the void, turning to move towards Buji Island, heading straight for the location of the First University, leaving behind only an indifferent voice: ”——This is the final warning.”

Watching the departing figure of the lotus, the President of the Dark Council wore a look of entanglement on his face but ultimately only sighed deeply without taking any action to stop her.

Then he looked at KOTOS not far away and said irritably: ”——Shi Hui must be very angry, and the school will definitely cause trouble for me afterward... I’ve carried such a big burden for you, doesn’t this sufficiently demonstrate the Sincerity of the Dark Council?”

The expressionless bald giant scratched his head, looking curiously at the Elder Wizard: ”For the two of us, you didn’t fully assist either one, did you? Why do I feel you offended both of us at the same time?”

The Elder Wizard’s face darkened.

Just as he seemed about to say something, his face suddenly changed dramatically, looking upward.

The Infinite Radiant Sphere that was anticipated to reach Buji Island after a moment now seemed to have arrived at this instant. One after another, small silver-white doors opened in the void along with the descending starlight, and glowing spheres emitting seven-colored radiance emerged from these doors, seemingly about to flood the entire world in a mere moment.

The Elder Wizard clearly saw, within those spheres, the reflection of countless real worlds. They were all worlds devoured by the Ancient one, Yog.

The spheres, like an eye blinking at a high frequency, continuously opened more Void Gates with each moment, releasing more spheres emitting Infinite Radiant Light, and in just the blink of an eye, they had already flooded the entire open sea.

”Woe is me! Woe is me!”

The President of the Dark Council cried out repeatedly in misery, wanting to leave, but it was already too late.
