High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 2960: Chapter 1178: The Colors of the Stars

Accompanied by the ethereal singing, the distant auspicious clouds rolled, auspicious light surged, and the endless purple energy slowly came from the west to the east, like a purple high wall spanning between heaven and earth, covering the sky and easily shrouding the entire sky.

At that moment, whether it was the brilliant spheres surging across the sky, the blue Round Star, the silver Hexagram, or other blood, gold, green, red and other large stars, in the presence of the purple energy coming from the east, all lost their sense of existence, appearing exceptionally small and fragile.

The ’big face’ hanging in the sky silently shrank round after round, until finally, it hung at the edge of the sky like a bright moon. Apart from the ’bright moon’ there was a door behind it, and all the other large and small doors in the void disappeared.

The blue Round Star was also very discerning and did not continue to pin on the ’philtrum’ of the big face. Under the blue Round Star, the giant panda sitting in the forest clearing put down the rice bowl in its hand, patted its backside, slowly stood up, and in a few steps returned to the school.

The sky over Buji Island suddenly became crystal clear.

However, this clarity was not natural, for neither the Sun nor the Moon could be seen in the sky, nor any natural stars, only red, blue, white, blood, gold, silver, and green seven large stars.

And the purple energy sweeping across the sky.

Under the purple energy.

Was a figure that didn’t seem very tall, leisurely walking toward Buji Island. At their stature, they shouldn’t attract anyone’s notice, but every gaze that saw the purple energy would notice that figure immediately.

To the left of this figure was a young Wizard.

The young Wizard held a white Law book in his arms.

To the right of this figure was a handsome boy.

The boy was empty-handed, but his clean face was covered with dense web-like cracks, like a porcelain doll that had been shattered and forcibly pieced back together, looking both comical and frightening.

In the depths of Silent Forest.

The Giant God Soldier ’Primordial’ controlled by Montelio leaned against a tall mountain and also saw this scene. With just a glance, he recognized the identities of the three figures.

In the center was the long-unseen president of the First University.

On the left, the young Wizard was Zheng Qing, and the handsome boy on the right was Leviathan—Montelio remembered very clearly that not long ago, when he parted with Leviathan in the Cloud Sea World, that face was still clean and intact. However, considering the elder walking in front of them now, just having some extra cracks seemed to be the best outcome.

As this thought flashed through his mind. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

Under the purple energy.

A faint conversation came.

The speaking voice wasn’t loud but was just right for these legends and ancients to hear——

”...Sir, are those stars the incarnations of the ancients?”

The young Wizard walking to the elder’s left asked, holding the Law book, looking up at the large stars above Buji Island, with a tone full of admiration.

The elder’s answer was very concise: ”They’re not incarnations, strictly speaking, those stars are the cosmic projections of the ancients.”

Montelio immediately perked up, sitting up straight. He had forgotten the last time he heard the elder talk about Taoism, at that level, every word spoken counted as Taoist Charm.

He believed that he was certainly not the only one sitting on Buji Island at this moment.

Even the seven large stars in the sky became a bit brighter at this time.

”...Why do ancients who don’t walk the Starry Sky Path also have projections in the starry sky?” the curious voice of the young Wizard sounded again.

This type of question annoyed every legend and ancient who heard it, annoyed that he wasted such a good chance to discuss Taoism with the elder, asking seemingly innocuous questions.

But out of respect for the elder, everyone wisely remained silent.

”Because the starry sky can best summarize this world.” The elder placed a hand on the young Wizard’s shoulder, walking leisurely, while using the other hand to gesture upwards, instantly creating a splendid silver Milky Way in the sky.

This gesture also divided the seven large stars along the two shores of the Milky Way.

On the left bank were three stars: the golden Many-pointed Star, the green Septagram, and the silver Hexagram.

On the right bank were four stars: the blood-colored Long Star like a sickle, the blue Round Star, the red pentagram, and the slightly white New Star. However, the four stars on the right bank subtly distanced themselves from each other, with the blood-colored Long Star and the blue Round Star closer together, centered; the red pentagram was on one side of them, and the slightly white New Star was on the other side.

Zheng Qing was transfixed, watching this scene.

Beside him came the elder’s meaningful voice: ”——The starry sky is the world’s reflection. So those walking the Starry Sky Path, the world of Tao derivation, can only reside in the world’s reflection; those not walking the Starry Sky Path, though residing in the world, inevitably leave a shadow in the starry sky... just like how you have a shadow walking under the Sun.”

Leviathan followed on the elder’s other side, head lowered, thoughtfully staring at his faint shadow on the ground, while straining his ears to capture every word the elder spoke.

Zheng Qing’s attention had already flown to the two banks of the Milky Way.

”Sir, who is that white star?” he pointed to the slightly white New Star. As if responding to his gesture, the White Star obligingly flickered.

Pop.

The elder reached out and slapped his hand down.

”Don’t point at others casually, it’s impolite.” After a simple reproach, he shifted the conversation: ”——Doesn’t that White Star look familiar to you?”

Zheng Qing quickly nodded.

”It’s just as it should be.” The elder gave a small nod, making no attempt to conceal: ”The White Star is the cosmic projection of R’lyeh in the starry sky...”

The young Wizard immediately frowned, couldn’t resist rubbing his eyes, scrutinizing carefully twice more, muttering: ”No... wasn’t it a blue... well, slightly green star that rose in the Black Prison last year?”

”Good sight, very few can see that touch of green.”

The elder appreciatively nodded, explained: ”Blue is the color of the sea; before R’lyeh advanced to an ancient, he was the ruler of the sea, so you saw blue; green, however, is the color of the ’Mother of All’, even new-born ancients cannot avoid the concept of ’newbirth’ which means when their shadow first appears in the starry sky, it always carries a faint green hue. And as time passes, the blue of the past and the green hint of newbirth both gradually fade, replaced by its true color.”

On the right bank of the Milky Way.

The White Star hanging at the edge of the sky flickered joyfully, seemingly very pleased with its current spectrum.
