High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 1742: Chapter 486 Traditional Skills

The enormous blue hand, together with two robust arms, swept across the ground like a heavy plow, wiping out all the clawing, shambling spirits.

The silent swordsman wielding the three-foot-long azure blade danced fiercely like a blue butterfly in the storm, slicing down one after another of the monstrous birds attacking.

Even one of the most elegant Moonlight Nobles released its true form, transforming into a giant wolf with bat wings, gliding like a ghost, shredding any magical creature approaching them.

The Druid High Priest of the Dark Council witnessed all of this.

”Impressive courage.”

He gave a brief comment—a remark from a Big Wizard was already rare for wizards not yet at registration level.

”But insufficient power.”

As he spoke, the Druid High Priest raised his head, his slightly hunched figure suddenly grew much larger, he reached out with his withered clawed hand, directly grasping towards the young wizards battling the spirits: ”Thus... let it end here.”

Nearby, all three of Professor Yao’s heads turned towards the Great Druid, eyes as piercing as ice: ”Bullying the small... you’ve crossed the boundary.”

The response was a mocking laugh from the Big Witch Demon Lin Chi Keke.

”Crossing the boundary?”

The great wizard spread his arms, from beneath surged a mist like grey-white waterfall, roaring within this chaotic battleground:

”When we touched the Forbidden Curse, we began to cross boundaries; When we broke into the Black Prison, we crossed again... We’ve crossed so many times already, a few more, what does it matter?”

That grey-white mist fell into the sea of shambling spirits below, the previously weak spirits were visibly strengthened, their bodies sprouting sharp bone spikes, bones growing thicker, bone plates more solid, the soul fire in their hollow eye sockets jumping intensely, shifting from grey-white to pale yellow, even various mutated spirits emerged, such as undead knights riding boar corpses and undead assassins with bat wings, various kinds, endless.

Originally slightly adept Zhang Ji Xin, Dylan, and others suddenly became overwhelmed, pushing back the undead knights only for undead assassins to silently approach, forcing the Absolution hunters to retreat continuously, soon falling back into the shallow pit.

While the slender claw of the Druid High Priest reached their overhead, like a thick black cloud, pressing heavily downward.

Professor Yao extended an arm, attempting to protect several young wizards.

”Your opponent is us.”

A gentle yet piercing voice striking directly at the soul of the Big Wizard, Anglafell of the Ghost Tribe shielded in front of Professor Yao’s outstretched arm, immense soul power like a quagmire, binding all the Big Wizard’s efforts.

At the same time, Druid High Priest Sekbo, Great Witch Lin Chi, and magic assassin Bartke all moved simultaneously, surrounding the trapped Dean of Jiu You College from all sides.

Sekbo and Lin Chi could spare some power to deal with the flea-like young wizards, while Professor Yao needed to exert full effort to face the siege of three Big Wizards and one top-tier magic assassin, naturally leaving no energy to protect Zheng Qing and others.

Just as the enormous claw descended from above, as the professor’s eyes burned with fury, while the young wizards struggled to hold on.

A soft sigh suddenly arose:

”They are still children, should not be drawn into this matter.”

A grey ’big snake’ suddenly appeared in the sky above the shallow pit, coiling, encircling, holding up a pale grey barrier, stood before the giant claw:

”They have shown enough courage; just give them more time, they completely have the opportunity to prove their strength to us... just like we proved ourselves in the Black Prison.”

This time, Zheng Qing finally saw clearly, the ’big snake’ sprang from beneath the cloak trailing from Rat Immortal’s back—it was clearly not a ’big snake’, but rather a massive rat tail.

Crack!

The slender claw fiercely grabbed onto the suddenly emerging grey barrier, the screeching sound seemingly pierced into the hearts of all who heard it, Zheng Qing felt like hundreds of worms were biting at the tender parts of his heart, causing him an odd sensation of trembling.

Only then did he recover from the Great Druid’s surprise attack, taking in a deep breath sharply.

Other hunters of the Absolution Hunting Team were no better than the young cost students, in the shallow pit, everyone stood frozen, afraid even a speck of dust falling would bring down the spirit overhead, crushing them all.

Only the black cat, facing the terrifying spirit, maintained a certain level of composure.

”Just scaring the children.”

It grumbled and complained, twitching its whiskers, flicking its tail disdainfully, showing a hint of displeasure, yet Zheng Qing could still sense some unease in its tone.

The giant claw faced off against the grey barrier for a moment.

The Druid High Priest sternly looked at Rat Immortal, then glanced at the quiet Pureblood Migo playing with the Little Witch behind the Rat Immortal, his gaze turned somewhat profound:

”Remember your promise!”

Rat Immortal paused in silence.

Then turned back, casting a glance at the young wizards, a hint of guilt flashing on his face: ”I’m sorry... I can only do this... I can’t...”

Murmuring, the originally hovering rat tail above the shallow pit abruptly retracted, consequently, the grey barrier enveloping the young wizards vanished instantly.

This time, under the giant claw, no hindrance remained.

The black cat let out a heavy sigh, opened its mouth, spat out a small scroll, tossing it at Zheng Qing’s feet, a thought forcefully stuffed into Zheng Qing’s head, leaving him dizzy:

”Rip it open in a while... You’ll definitely know when.”

”Deal with the trouble that follows yourselves.”

”Don’t drag me into such crap next time!”

”Damn it!”

Before Zheng Qing recovered, the black cat had already transformed into a black lightning bolt, shooting out of the shallow pit, darting straight towards the Druid High Priest not too far away.

Perhaps due to the temptation of capturing young wizards; perhaps because of the Druid’s innate closeness with animals; perhaps simply due to the confidence of a Big Wizard.

Whatever the reason, such factors made the Great Druid Sekber not immediately evade or adequately respond to the black cat’s rush.

Then the black cat slammed onto the Dark Council’s Big Wizard.

”Go to hell!”

It roared with indignation, its small body suddenly expanded into a faint black light sphere—a deep glow seemingly capturing the entirety of the world’s color in an instant, scattering radiant lights as if a Holy Spirit manifesting power, not even a thousand Suns could compete with.

On the battlefield, all the Big Wizards’ gaze was drawn over.
